VISION E juice

I know, I know.....I'm pretty late on this one, but I thought I would post my thoughts on Golden Virginia and Cigar.

First, the bottles are good for dripping, I'm sure, and I guess I'm in the minority here, but I'm not a huge fan. My vaping is 80-90% Grande, and the tip is just long enough to make you think it will work but just short enough to not work well. go figger. Another thing I'm not too fond of is the viscosity of the juice. Without having specific numbers to go by, I'm gonna say VG heavy. I prefer thinner juice. To each his own, I suppose.

Throat hit is acceptable, but more would definitely be good. 5 out of 10
Enough of the not so good, on to the good.

Vapor production is good on both, I would give them a 8 out of 10.

Flavor is nice, not overwhelming. Both of these tobacco flavors carry a mellow, earthy tobacco flavor without becoming pungent like some. I would like a little more intensity, but its easy to go overboard, so, flavor is a win.

Specifically, Golden Virginia brings a mellow tobacco flavor with more than a hint of chocolate. A nice, smooth vape. 7 out of 10

Cigar is very good. The notes on the exhale say cigar very well, without screaming cigar. (like many cigars do) Not that I was ever an afficianado by any stretch of the imagination, but I did enjoy a cigar from time to time in my combustible days. The problem I always had with a combustible cigar, is the overwhelming punch of cigar flavor. The flavor of a good cigar is nice, but in my experiences, far too intense. Vision has done a good job of capturing that flavor without being too overbearing, although they may have held back just a little too much. 8 out of 10

Overall, I would buy these from time to time, if they were in regular stock, but neither will replace Crushed Caramel Apple ;)

The double barrel vivi nova exists. I have the double barrel Carto holder, it fun to use.

Thanks for sharing that. I'd personally much prefer to use cartos though. I primarily use RBA's, but will grab a small DCT now and then. For whatever reason, I just don't like the vape on most vivis/stardusts/etc. I would like to try Phoenixes and the bottom coil T3's (the M one's are nice looking, huh?) but haven't had the chance yet to grab any of either.

I have several Phoenix style ones and love them. The Kanger T3 is currently my favorite to use, incredible flavor and vapor. I have the eVod on the way, already own two of the M series and have a Baby T3 coming as well.

The Eternity is a great first Phoenix style to start with, I have a review up on the GotVapes site on them.

You have to use the right juice in the Vivi Nova, I am a big believer in hardware can make or break a juice and vice versa. Good example for me is Smooth Criminal, I think it is perfect in a Vivi at 3.7volts with a 1.8ohm head. Flavors are much more complex and not over powering.

Our brains expect certain flavors to be at a certain temperature. So if you follow that theory when choosing what to vape with the hardware you own, you will get a much better vaping experience. Of course this is just my opinion and I don't expect anyone to agree with me. It is the thought process I have been following when helping new vapers find a juice/hardware combo that keeps them vaping. I have had great success with it so far.

Again my own personal theory. It's how I decide on what to use hardware wise for myself and why when I do a juice review I will use the juice in no less than three setups. It works for me very well.

repaired an existing battery passthrough. The battery is looking pretty rough. The ego connection doesn't fit all the way down because instead of soldering the negative wire I pressed it between the batter casing and the ego connection. The positive terminal is kinda spring loaded, not really but the seal is too small to keep it down but it still goes back down when I screw on an atty. The piece of plastic that holds the usb passthrough part had to be removed because after I resoldiered the passthrough it wouldn't go back in. Finally the button is an atty postive terminal with a carto rubber top cut to fit in the battery hole

Gotcha. Sounds like a bit of a frankenstein vape now. :p

There's nothing printed on the label Deb.......maybe one of the guys has that info.....I'm asking

On the label it lists Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerin, Water, and Natural Flavors in that order.

I don't know for certain, but I think it's somewhat safe to say that this is in the order of each ingredient's content in the solution. I'm guessing this juice is about 50/50 or 60/40 in favor of the PG. Just my :2c:

By the way we still have a bunch of the Chatty Chen's left....remember if you are in ALPHA you can ask for one for free. For those who are getting these are they actually charging your eGos?

Mine charges all 4 of my genuine eGo batteries with no problem and at what seems like a faster rate than the regular eGo chargers. I too had to turn the voice off though as it keeps repeating everything and cycling between the two statuses towards the end of the charge.

*EDIT* - Ignore my statement about it seeming to charge faster! It's late and I'm tired. Of course it charges faster since I have it plugged into a wall outlet and not the USB 2.0 Port on my PC like my regular eGo charger!

Just to clarify.........when I posted there was nothing printed on the label, I was referring to a lack of info regarding the ratio of pg/vg, not to a lack of a list of ingredients. For people with an intolerance or allergy to one ingredient or the other, knowing the ratio is very important and a guess won't suffice. ;)

A couple things come to mind...
Do I really think my ego needs a boost?
My ego is long enough thank you.

OK serious now. How long are these? I don't want to risk poking out the eye of a loved one or myself every time I pick up my PV.

Was that serious?

Besides WallyO's obvious technical issues he brought up :D

Warning... This is going to get a little technical... I do see some real tech issues using a boost circuit on a typical eGo battery... AFAIK, most of these are just using standard rechargeable lithium-ion batteries which don't support high current loads like an IMR battery supports. This means that the max safe discharge for a 650mah battery is just 1C or .65a ... a 900mah is .9a and so forth. Even if the protection circuits found in many eGo PV's allow more than 1C and doesn't cut off until say 4a, this would typically pull more than the recommended discharge rate for the battery.

I suspect the engineers that designed these did not take into account what the typical amperage that a non-VV eGo battery is actually rated to safely provide.

Completely agree - I don't see these being of much use except with very high ohm loads (or else perhaps on a very high mAh KGO). 99.9% sure you are correct that eGo batteries are "just" LiIon ICR batteries. Boosting those batteries, while certainly possible, is just inadvisable IMO.

I could see it being rather useful on a mod with replaceable (read: IMR) batteries though (like an external Kick). Wonder if the max amp limits that keep it "safe" with an eGo would hobble it in that use scenario though.

I agree as well. I think wolcen is onto a good point tho that for ego style batts with replacable batteries (think aka ecab here) this might be a good idea.

That being said Id think these units would literally have to be half the price (at retail) of a VV SLB 650 mah ego batt/passthrough to get the average vaper to buy it. My thinking would be "why buy a kick type device for an ego when I can just buy a VV ego for a little more."

I personally would no longer recommend the S1. While it performed well and looks nice, it simply does not stand up at the battery connector. I know of a number of users now (including those will less abusive traits than my own) that have had failure at the battery connector where it would no longer stably attach. Essentially, the tank will pop off very easily - that is if you can get it to screw on to begin with.

Were the threads on the unit a little bit longer, I think it could still do very well. The style alone is a big draw it seems for a number of people. Given the number of failures I know of now though, there are better complete kits available at [assumed] comparable prices with much better durability and similar or better performance.

Thanks oodles! For my purposes I do just need an idea so I really appreciate this. But yiddle is right, for anyone with sensitivities, exact info is important......Bad, Danno, do we know what the ratio is on this juice? I tried googling the company when I saw the post where it was loaded, but didn't come up with anything. Most folks really want to know what the ratio is even if they don't have sensitivites I would think.

I heard lalalalalala.....not safe to use. lol Is there any type of protection thingy in this device, or would that not matter/be helpful?

ETA: Just to clarify, I was kiddin, so I'm not asking you to explain it better. :)
