Completely agree - I don't see these being of much use except with very high ohm loads (or else perhaps on a very high mAh KGO). 99.9% sure you are correct that eGo batteries are "just" LiIon ICR batteries. Boosting those batteries, while certainly possible, is just inadvisable IMO.

I could see it being rather useful on a mod with replaceable (read: IMR) batteries though (like an external Kick). Wonder if the max amp limits that keep it "safe" with an eGo would hobble it in that use scenario though.

I was actually thinking more of using it on my telescope, but that is a very good point. I wonder if it would let it? I love the kick, but with the high humidity round here I had a bit of an issue keeping the contacts clean enough, for proper functioning.

I could see trying this on a mechanical mod... as long as it's lower priced than a Kick. At least by half, IMO anyway.

To me, that would directly depend on the maximum current/power - do we know that? Note that I don't agree the price should be lower, but I found the Kick overpriced personally.

I don't imagine them looking very stylish with the extention+tank+drip tip. Especially if the button alignment is goofy when snug. A nice plus for the Kick since you don't see it - of course, that is one of the things I don't like about it: you open the device to make power adjustments. Let's hope that's somehow easier/quicker with a button :p

I think "eGo booster" probably refers more to the end threading than being designed for an eGo battery. If it was designed for eGo batteries I think they would have put a skirt on it!

I think it could be interesting though, depending on its limitations. Probably be nice to toss in a pocket when the SB needs a little bump. Might work decent on an 14650 mod as well.

It should work fine with any mod using replaceable IMR or other high drain batteries as long as there isn't also a protection circuit built into the mod that would limit the output. My earlier comments were based on it being used on standard eGo batteries which it appears to be marketed for based on how it was worded in badkola's description.

Yeah I know what you are saying, and I agree completely. I should have said "should refer to", especially since I didn't see the skirted 2nd picture (I have since, stupid phone). I figured throwing it next to an eGo is common practice; they do it with a range of devices that don't really work well with the eGo (high resistance gear and such). Oh well, i guess that is what happens when you get cut off and don't get to finish your post before others have posted!

ok hopefully the 10 products for alpha arrive soon along with these

ego booster for any ego, turns it into a vv, 3 to 6 volts..

2boost.JPG

I assume this can be used on standard ego style batteries like my old Kgo's.
If true it will give new life to my pile of ego style batteries that have been sitting idle since I've gotten into VV vaping.

Looks interesting, and worth a try.

So yesterday I noticed that my x6 stated to leak around the base. It looks as if the glue or what ever that holds the metal base to the tank is staring to wear off? I have been using this for about a week and a half straight and using 18mg Irish cream 50/50. I took a picture, but you can't really tell

I guess now I should tear it apart and try to piece it back together :) maybe with a glass tank

That's a bummer... I've been rotating 2 for 3 weeks and haven't have had a problem - 'cept for hot legs on the coils anyway.

You may want to read what was said after bad's post about these... there is concern about using a VV boost circuit on a battery not made to support that kind of load

anyone know anything about the Kanger Protank?

Kanger protank - YouTube

would love to see these on alpha

without the battery of course

No though it does appear to use one of the bottom coils like in the T3 perhaps... but just FYI, Kanger is already a vetted company which makes it unlikely that the Protank ( if GV gets it ) will be an alpha product unless some question comes up about them. Alpha is more about testing unknown companies and/or products before considering releasing of said product

that makes sense..still would love to see them as a stand alone tank ..instead of in kit form

Yes, I did read those comments, and several reviews about the earlier “booster” product, but we have no details on this version yet and don’t know (at least I haven’t seen anything posted yet) if it is designed for standard ego style batteries with appropriate limiting circuitry. That is why in my comment I said that I “assume” it is for ego’s.

I will be interested in hearing more details, but regardless…it does look like an interesting product.

Hey Badkolo while testing out all these new products has anyone ever sent you a 400 mah ego auto? I found a 350 mah ego thickness 808 the other day and I really wanted it but without ego threads I would never use it. I had a big 1000 mah ego auto a while back but its too large to hold in the mouth while gaming. I've been looking around and cant find anything smaller than 650 mah. I'm just wondering if anyone is making them.

That's the only time I still want an auto: gaming or else playing pool. Without being light, it defeats the purpose for me too. Too bad it's night impossible to pull off light and powerful.
