Yep, worked that time.. :) user error on my part probably :D

Maybe or maybe not... Early this morning they found that the FB page by default is not set to public... so only other FB users could visit it at that time. That was resolved as soon as they discovered it and they posted this morning that it was changed to public so everyone could see it.

What's worrying me is GV has two new exciting mods coming which are displayed on FB, but no mention in this vendor forum. I have FB of course, but I would much rather learn, read and discuss it here with all my friends in this forum...

I would be willing to bet my paycheck, there are more people on ecf looking for info on ecig's, than on FB...Know what I mean?

I am certainly seeing the advantages of having both FB and the forum because each seem to offer different advantages...

On FB it is better suited to showcasing the products and still allows a little bit of discussion... the forum allows a bit of showcasing but really is strong for the discussion and talk about the product. I think they work together well.

now back to the basement with br, the ceramic wick issue wont solve itself.lolol

While you are at it.... toss them some SS rope so they can work on a way to get it insulated from the coil... and perhaps even some braided ceramic rope as well

:D

I'm going to post a "cancel" on the braided ceramic rope... it seems from what I've just read that it also sheds. Silica is neutral to the body even if the slivers of it may not be a good thing... but ceramics aren't even neutral so having their fiber in your lungs is probably worse than what silica would be.

Using one right now and enjoying it on my SVD. Really love the mod and the i30 so far.

I'm new to the Alpha group and the 5 Piece Rebuildable Tank Atomizer CE9 2.2-2.5ohm was my first alpha purchase.
I am having issues getting any juice at all to the wick.
It's almost like the gravity feed is not working at all.... any suggestions?

Thanks

What are you talking about? The CE9 rocks!

Oh wait...that's the one I took the pin out of (it pushed out pretty easy), cut the tank, and use as a dripping atty. Yeah, it works good THAT way. I gave it a shot as a tank and it was just as horrid as any other tank I've used, if not worse. Apparently a few people have figured out how to get a good feed out of it, but I say it's just not worth it.

Seriously though, I was thinking about getting another for use as a dripping atty - it really works great once the damnable pin is gone.

Thanks for the Vamo recommendation and the congrats. I don't sleep much these days, so please forgive my spelling issues.

Please note that my mods are cleaned and lubed regularly. As are the kicks and batteries, I keep the oxidation down to a minimum with my regimen. Been in electronics a long time DC and AC. My issue is with reduced battery capacity due to age, also the Kick cuts off with weak batteries pretty fast.

So what I need are 4 new 18650s, and a Vamo.

I'm about to knock that center pin/plate out and use the CE9 as a dripper. Absolutely no luck getting it to wick in stock format. Now to figure out an acceptable drip tip. :|

Ok so I've had the x6 about 2 weeks now and I am done with it not because of non removable tank nor design of changing coil head. I actually didn't have any issues with coil head I just screwed it on then licked the wicks like threading a needle. First coil had I just use as is and it gave a funky taste. 2nd coil head I cleaned before installing it on the X 6 and it still gave a funky taste. I was willing to try to press through the funky taste but it started leaking from the bottom. I never had the x6 in my pocket. I hard wired a pass through in my truck and it only sat in my truck mounted on the dash. I never dropped it so wondering why the tank started to leak from the bottom seal. I do not vabe acidic juices so that's not the problem. In conclusion I would not recommend or buy the x6 again oh yea y is it so hevy? It is certainly not bulletproof hence the glue on the tank seal. I do like the design of the 4 wicks dropping down in to tank. If they made the tank threaded get rid of the glue and use orings as a seal I would still be using it.
Thx gotvapes

X6 Tank Review

Well I gotta say, IMO this one is a bust. While its not all that bad of a vape I think too much was overlooked in its design. When I received it I knew the tank was fixed in place and what others had to say about that as far as serviceability. The pre installed coil popped immediately upon first use, even after being primed properly.

So I installed the spare coil and wick I ordered with it. Not too much of a hassle as long as you lube up the ends of the wick with a little juice before threading the holes. Primed it up with some of my 80% vg black and mild, let it sit for five minutes. A decent vape, but muted regardless of voltage/wattage and I spent a good amount of time trying to find the sweet spot as the coil broke in. After a full two tanks I was left unimpressed flavor wise.

As far as cleaning I didnt find it very difficult as others have posted. I left the wick installed and ran it under the faucet and filled the tank. Shake, shake, shake the water out.... rinse repeat till the wicks were clean. Then I set it upside down on top of a spare vivi nova tube till it dried. Took about a day.

Ive tried different juices over two weeks of using it and frankly, the flavor side of this unit is just lacking.

A few things of note.

First, this should either have a threaded tank like the splitfire or nova. Ideally a glass tank and orings would have been great.
Second, The flavor is muted. ya'll arent gonna like me for saying this, but I find the same issue with the splitfires. They have the same issue.
Third, The draw is very airy. It benefitted greatly from the airflow adapter but that didnt even help the flavor issue.

Chatty Chen Review

Thanks to GV for this freebie. I absolutely love this charger. It had everyone laughing whenever it chimed and spoke. While the finished charging bug should be fixed it works teriffic. The form factor is great for on a desk or table and the retractable cord is awesome. I LOVE that simple little feature. More cords should come like that. Im going to be using it for all my ego batts that I have left.

So lastly, when are we getting more fun Alpha stuff?

Chatty Chen Charger

I agree with BG about this charger. It has become the only charger I use for eGo batteries anymore. I mute it, but the wife turns the voice on for a laugh every few days! It is a good form factor and the retractable cord is an added bonus.

I also await more fun stuff.

Vision Peach e-liquid revist:

Now that it's steeped a while, I'll have to retract my earlier statements. While the peach flavor isn't over the top, it's definitely not non-existent any more. I'd give the flavor a 7/10, the vapor an 8/10, the throat hit is still a weak point - but that may be due to the 18mg strength, I regularly vape 24mg juice.

Tested on a 1.4Ω coil @ 3.9V (~10.8W) in a fat wick Chi-genny (#500SS & 30ga Kanthal) on my ProVari.

I'll be revisiting the other 2 juices this weekend & post updated reviews.

Odd, I get lot's of flavor with that juice on a ViVi Nova and a Vision eGo Clearomizer... I wonder if your wicks are stripping out the flavor for some reason. Do you notice muted flavor with any other ejuices with that rig?
