Many ( if not most ) e-liquids will be better after you leave the cap's off for a day or two and steep them for a bit... try it again after leaving the cap off and then again after a week of steeping ( after the cap was off a day or so )

Will do... I assumed that these had been sitting for some time already, but didn't know I should take the cap off as well. I would assume with the very small nozzle that I should also take the tip that comes on the bottle off as well to achieve the results you are suggesting.

Each e-liquid is different... but your remarks about an alcohol taste is what prompted the post about taking the cap off... the steeping is just extra info to cover the bases

I have my Vision juices from Alpha venting now. They did smell like alcohol, which isn't unusual. That goes away in about a day or two.
While they may have been made a few months back, I doubt they are "steeped" as they likely just sat in a box. To me, "steeping" involves shaking them up everyday while aging a week or more to ensure everything is properly mixed up and dissolved.
After that, then I'll vape it and review here.

Steeping can actually take place in a sealed bottle... it just happens quicker after you've opened it and exposed it to more air to start the oxidation process. Smaller bottles will steep quicker than a larger one... the type of bottle, glass or plastic, will also affect how quickly they steep or oxidize. Too get the alcohol out, if they used any... you pretty much have to remove the cap so it will have somewhere to evaporate too.

examples..

The bottle of Hush I got back in Sept... is now an honey to amber in color. The one I ordered the first of March is a pale yellow and hasn't been opened yet even ... both when recieved were almost clear. The color change is caused by the oxidation I mentioned.

Am I paranoid to be very leery of some products coming from China? Pre Filled Cartos & Juice are two of them that really throw up red flags for me.

Perhaps... are you also paranoid about other Vision branded products?.... If you are not paranoid about their other products and trust those... then yes, your being paranoid... :D

Seriously though... I can see being leary about a company you know nothing about or have little experience with. That is just being realistically sceptical of any company that is new to you.

I thought the darkening came from the nicotine? I have a bottle of 0mg and 12mg of the same flavor and after a month the 12mg was noticeably darker.
"Steeping" is an incorrect term actually, as we don't put something into the liquid, like tea leaves in a teabag steeps in hot water to make tea. I don't know what we should call it though, as what happens in e-liquid is just mixing of the different ingredients better over time I believe. Any chemists in the house care to chime in?

I do know that nicotine levels have an impact on how quickly a juice steeps from what I've read before... how much I don't know.

I do think the word "steeping" is as correct as we can get... it is how long the flavorings and other ingredients that are added to the PG/VG take to meld with each other and the chemical bonds to take place... I've seen it called steep, meld and mary.... most often steep is used. You can also heat the mixture and speed up the process just like when making a tea. In fact, some of the e-liquids that I'm currently vaping are made directly from tobacco leaves being soaked in PG and/or VG.... often referred to NET e-liquids ( naturally extracted tobacco )

Speaking of juices, I've been testing the Vision fruits Cherry flavor from the Alpha program.
First, as always I love the bottle. The built in needle tip is a great idea, and it drips perfectly. It's a little slow for tank filling, but it's removable.
Lots of vapor.
Throat hit is pretty good.
The high nicotine (18mg) gives it a very peppery taste. The cherry flavor is really just a hint. If it didn't say "cherry" on it I wouldn't have noticed it. The flavors are unusual. I taste a little bubblegum. Mostly I taste soy sauce, believe it or not. Overall it reminds me of soy sauce with a little wasabi in it, like when you're having sushi... And you were eating cherry bubblegum on your way to the restaurant.

Now I have been vaping the chocolate e-liquid from vision in the Alpha program.
Vapor is a little less than the cherry but still pretty great.
Throat hit is good too.
Flavor. I still get a very peppery taste to it with a hint of chocolate syrup. It's not sweet though. By "hint" I mean it's like if I Vaped some chocolate liquid before this one and didn't clean out my atomizer very well before.
So far these Vision juices remind me of the cheap disposeable e-cigarettes you get at a gas station. This is the one that says "chocolate" on it.

And please nobody misunderstand me, I love the fact that I got to try these juices in Alpha!
Less than $2 a bottle to try new things? Count me in every single time!
Vape taste as we all know is probably more subjective any any other kind of taste. We all know a good steak tastes good. But while I may love strawberry-banana-fudge-mint-wonderland (with extra unicorns added) someone else may find it horrid.
So your mileage may vary.
Thanks GotVapes for letting me be a part of this!

SRusackas,

The whole point of Alpha is for honest opinions... that is what you gave so don't worry about liking or not liking a product... as long as you are reporting what you think. It isn't unusual for one of us to like something and another to really dislike it... again that is the point, to see what the overall responses are.

I myself find that most Chinese and general e-juices to be a bit... average if that is the right word. That way they will appeal to a wider audience but at the same time, seldom get rave reviews because of it. I believe if you go back through the reports on the ones you just listed... most give similar results ( even if they didn't taste soy sauce .... :D )

Rdsok and yoddleboge, thanks!
...I just didn't want to sound like a negative nancy to anyone by posting two less-than-positive reviews back to back.
I love the honesty and support ECF and especially the Gotvapes thread and its members have.

Don't worry about that...this is alpha and honesty counts :) If you're having a negative experience and tell us why or what........it's important to know for all concerned.;)
