Please, enlighten me. What evidence have you seen that would cause you to believe that second hand vapor is more harmful than ambient air?
Evidence? ONe thing I know it has more stuff in it than the same ambient air without vapor in it. vaping cannot be healthier than not vaping. The not smokiing thing aside, YES vaping is far less harmful than smoking but not harmful at all? I doubt that, but time will tell.

Well, the vapor might have dead germs in it that the ambient air does not.
In the ambient air, those germs would be alive.

There is also chemical residue from the PG/VG and flavorings and sweeteners.

I am not saying that second hand vapor is a noticeable risk of anything, just that it can not be as safe as not breathing it.

How many hours per day do you have the opportunity to inhale fresh, clean air?

So do not say it is safe then?
Are we talking about second-hand vapor?

I would not say that first-hand vapor is totally and completely safe.
But then nothing really is I guess.

But I'd bet an awful lot of money that second-hand vapor wouldn't even harm a fly.

Good luck trying to kill them with second-hand vapor.
:)

Picture me...

I used to try killing aphids on my roses with cigarette smoke -- and it didn't work, though it made them a bit wobbly. so yeah, good luck with that, with vapor.

I will say that my cats dislike my vaping more than they did my smoking. Who knows why though they are after all cats.

It could be the pg Will Vaping PG (Propylene Glycol) E-Liquid Harm My Cat?

As for SHV not being "safe" I said ambient air, not pure clean air. Most of the air we are exposed to 24/7 even in our own homes is full of stuff that we probably don't WANT to be exposed to, but we are, within safe limits. I'm not sure why people insist on holding vapor to a higher standard.

ETA: or it could just be that they're cats, cats are weird, try vaping some crab juice and they might like it.

Scotticus, I'm surprised that you haven't been bombarded with those studies as they always are all over the news, at least in Europe, which fits the TPD's agenda wonderfully.

I'm sorry that I'm not going to google

those studies now but I believe you may be able to find them in this and other forums. Many relate to experiments performed in not at all realistic lab environemnts, being that they would mean vapers prefer vaping in a way that they're constantly getting dry hits, hence breathing formaldehyde, which is released that way (which is also present in every cigarette). One of the most famous, the one I was thinking of, was conducted by a Japanese scientist a few months ago and the said scientist has connections to the WHO, an organization that's been opposing ecigs for ages. When it came out, saying e-liquids were ten times as carcinogenic as cigarettes (frankly, I still don't understand the "ten times" they referred to), it was all over the news throughout the entire day. Not just in Portugal, all over the world. There are several other studies like that or similar in intent.

I also believe if you search for Dr. Kontantinos Farsalinos and visit his site, you'll find references to some of those studies.
Thank you for the insight. No one of my college professors who had seen that on the news asked me about it and so did my brothers gf he urged me to quit. I was like well I already quit smoking reds. I read a couple articles and the one she sent me. But the one she sent me was some news article with no scientific evidence backing it. As someone who just graduated with a bio degree. I need peer reviewed research from ideally multiple sources to believe something. This article appeared to be backed by not one peer reviewed source. Really makes me despise the media and lose more hope in humanity. I smell big tobacco and pharma funding these "studies"

Since PG has microbial properties - maybe it is killing some of the toxins that I am breathing in from the air surrounding me...
I think there is enough anecdotal evidence to say that is a very real possibility.

Exactly. I don't vape in my house for the simple fact that, who knows what effects it has on others, and I have no right subjecting them to that.

So who here vapes with a child of any age in the house?

There use to be claims of cigarette smoking being good for you.
