I think mixing and sampling makes for a good distraction from problems. Maybe it’ll help you take your mind off things.
Fine. FINE. Y'all know about my clonidine and also like overdoing the laxatives and stuff. This morning I woke up with what I assumed was severe Hemorrhoid pain. I don't mind that part. I've been pregnant. if you don't get them after birth, you aren't doing it right. But I was like, "MAN I wish I had a real live laxative bulimic to TALK to about this, I mean how do they get through the DAY?"
So, I went to work. It was not my best work day ever. I was distracted. It hurt to sit. At 1:30 I went and bought 35 bucks worth of H stuff, to deal. I just went into the bathroom and did my best. Yes, I work at a healthcare center but I was NOT gonna ask the secretary for her hand mirror to investigate my H situation.
I just applied things as best I could. When it came time to leave I got home and like, well, the husband is not here this weekend so I grabbed a hand mirror and I was like um WAIT. That looks metallic. It really does.. Being a hardy sort, I was like, "I am not going to call 9-11 prior to investigation. I'm relieved I DID not NOW. Imagine the press for vaping!
So, I was like, "That thing has to come OUT. So, I removed it.
I have these ceramic dishes I keep stuff in so it's organized. I have one for vape stuff, one for my meds, etc.
It was a COIL. Not a small one either. One of my favorite ones. It had heft it was a Fumytech Rose coil. No tiny MTL coil for me.
So I accidentally SWALLOWED a coil and then.... It was removed after digestion. I did not KEEP the coil but I might have been able to vape it but I was too busy screaming "Satan get thee away from me!!!" and tossed it.
The H pain was immediately relieved. To be fair, I have been under stress, but this is JUST UNACCEPTABLE. I'm sorry. To vaping everywhere I apologize.
So yeah I also have 35 dollars in H treatment I don't need and that could have bought a nice custom driptip!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to bet I am the first vaper who has done that and it made my day SUUUUCK but at least I have no perforated bowl or anything. There is always a bright side.
It's okay if you make fun of me, I would. I mean ^I^ wouldn't but I have empathy for me since I lived it and if anyone ever eats a coil and thinks it's a "H" I will have deep empathy and sympathy for that person. I don't think it will HAPPEN but if it ever does... I AM READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, you were lucky it didn't get lodged in there and have to be removed and it didn't do any damage to your intestinal tract. I've heard of kids swallowing coins that have resulted in both things happening.
Probably all the laxatives SAVED me. You know. Everything happens for a reason and all that. I can't wait to get to heaven and find out what that ULTIMATE reason is. If I don't like the answer, I have coils for God. Etc.

I am very glad you didn't perforate your bowel, @stols001. And, look on the bright side, once that coil was out, you were cured. Hemorrhoids would've taken much longer to clear up.
I think you should have reclaimed the coil, though. Maybe passage through your digestive tract transformed it into something amazing. After all, traveling through civet cats is what makes kopi luwak supercoffee.

I ordered a couple flavors from Diyflavorshack last night. I’d been meaning to before they run out of v1 stuff. I already got big bottles of holy vanilla and ry4. I went ahead and got cafe napoleon and gooey butter cake. I couldn’t remember if the cake was one of the ones they weren’t able to get ingredients for or not.
I think it’s a little odd how on some mixes that the flavor changes so much after time in a tank even though it’s already been steeped. Anyone else notice this? The coffee recipe I posted the other day is one. The caramel butter was much more forward a couple days ago but has now blended nicely.
I recently got a few of her flavorings and noticed that some are very perfumey. What is your experience with these flavorings?
On another note, I have about 54 new flavorings coming today. No idea where I will put them.
Another question for all you mixers, what do you do with all the sft's you make? I am ending up with a bunch of mixes, some I use in other mixes but can't keep them all. Do you dump the ones you don't like much or???
I dump out ones I don’t like or don’t feel like finishing. I finally got smart enough to only mix 5ml sft since I was throwing out so much.
Which ones did you think were like that? I’ve only gotten holy vanilla, ry4, and po po so far. I almost forgot that I have succulent strawberry and lucky shot but don’t remember them being perfumey.
Once in the tank, it gets some more steeping, plus occasional heat. Might be part of that. And maybe as it's consumed, some of the flavors persist more in the coil gunk, and alter it? Both ideas pure speculation...
IME the perfumey flavors generally have some alcohol, and steeping uncapped goes a long way to eliminating that.
I make my sfts in 10 ml batches, and usually, even if not great (or even very good!) they're vapeable. If not, not a big loss to toss the remaining 6 mls. (Even my sfts go into a KF2L or similar size tank. The tank will affect the experience, so I always use my regular hardware for testing.)
