I did have a good day! It was an hour too long, but that means an hour shorter tomorrow. Also, all my NICE medical providers are flipping out about needing me.

The only bad thing, is I experienced the experience of WAY TOO MUCH LAXATIVE, which is a phenomenon I had completely forgotten about. So, it turns out that OPIATE levels of laxative are FIFTEEN times more than you need for clonidine. Sigh. No clonidine any more just a nice gentle taper and a really long, intense talk with my doctor about what he did to me. Also, hydrating BIG time and hungry but not sure I should EAT.

My doc has come to find those talks funny, after the "Sally one." He would take infinite discussions of tactile and emotional aftereffects of laxatives, than if I say, "You called me Sallly. And you told my husband to call me that in bed, when he wanted a mistress. You said to get a wig."

I am kind of kidding. Like, we have been together for so long as provider-prodvidee, he did not remember "Sally" last time I mentioned it. I just sighed, and said, "You are really crappy listener, adviser and rememberer for a psychiatrist."

Then he's all like, "Yes. But, I got you stable. So I win." And I agree. LOL.

So if wanted 30/70 PG/VG and 10mg Nic, and most of my mixtures come in around 15% flavoring...
PG 15% (easy enough), VG based nicotine 12%, that leaves 73% VG in a base ? That sounds a little high ...
Anything higher than 30% PG sends my sinus allergies into overdrive. Have to stay below the mark or I will suffer badly. Maybe I will just stay with "from scratch" as I know where I mixing that way.
@PapawBrett, if your standard recipe looks something like this:
10% 100mg/mL PG Nic
15% PG
60% VG
15% PG Flavoring(s)
Resulting in a final mix of 30PG/70VG 10mg/mL nic, 15% flavoring. Then the appropriate premixed "base" (no flavoring) recipe would be:
11.76% 100mg/mL PG Nic
17.65% PG
70.59% VG

(11.76%+17.65%+70.59%=100%)
The original percentages, of the base ingredients (for the complete recipe), make up 85% of all the ingredients. Therefore, divide the original percentages by 85 to find the 100% equivalent.
10%÷85%=11.76%
15%÷85%=17.65%
60%÷85%=70.59%

The use of 15% PG flavoring, with this base; will put you bang on 30PG/70VG/10mg/mL.
Less than 15% PG flavoring, with this base; will result in higher VG percentage, and higher nicotine.
More than 15% PG flavoring, with this base; will result in higher PG percentage, and lower nicotine.

    Somewhere between here and there
You might like your 3-flavor coffee....:)

You talked me into it. I cleaned, recoiled, and wicked two Zeus tanks. I loaded one with the first try at a coffee recipe. It’s actually pretty good. I think I’d like it a little more creamy though.

I was looking for something nutty and creamy... so I mixed up the following about two weeks ago:

    Bavarian Creme TPA 2%
    Caramel Butter WF 1%
    Caramel Candy FW 1%
    Caramel v2 CAP 1%
    Hazelnut FW 1%
    Hazelnut (Hazel Grove) FA .5%
    Sweet Cream TPA 1%
    Sweetener TPA .25%

I guess I made a good butterscotch, because that's what it tastes like. Too bad that wasn't what I was looking for... it is pretty creamy though.

    Back to the drawing board.
    How’s the baby?

You could add some more of the cream to it.

That makes sense to me. If you break down the flavors by type, it looks like this:
    3% creams
    2% Bavarian Cream (TFA)
    1% Sweet Cream (TFA)
    3% caramels
    1% Caramel Butter (WF)
    1% Caramel Candy (FW)
    1% Caramel v2 (CAP)
    1.5% nuts
    1% Hazelnut (FW)
    0.5% Hazelnut (Hazel Grove) (FA)
    0.25% other
    0.25% Sweetener (TFA)

Caramel (in general) is a pretty dominant flavor. Having twice as much caramel as the nut flavors, it seems reasonable, that the nut presence gets overwhelmed. If I were looking for the hazelnut to stand out; I would reduce the caramels by 1/2 to 2/3, and/or bump the hazelnut. :)

They are all thriving and becoming little eating machines. I have 3 more eggs that should hatch sometime in the next two weeks. This little girl hatched out last night:

I will try that, thanks for the tip. I like the way you broke it down; I never thought to do that for some reason. Thanks again!

What a cutie! How do you know she's a girl? I thought you couldn't sex them right away.

In a way you are absolutely correct. You cannot tell the sex until they are about 3.5-4 inches long.

However I temp sex all my hatchlings. If I incubate from 80-82 degrees they will all be male. If I incubate from 82-84 degrees they'll be a mixed batch... 85-88 degree will give all females. I incubated this one at 87 degrees. When people pay this amount it's usually for future breeding projects of their own, so it's important I give them the sex they want. It's a bit of a downer to find out 3 years down the road you have two males to breed together..

Oh, that's right. I remember your lesson on temp sexing in the shiny thread now.

 and if only it worked on humans ;)
