I haven't bought that much from DIYFS but never noticed any perfumey. On the other hand I never found anything special either so I just stick with my regular venders for the most part.
The worst was the Caramel Nut Cheesecake and lesser ones were ones with cream: strawberry, peach.
I will say even though I am not a fan of raspberry, the blue razz one is excellent. I haven't tried the melon yet and the pineapple is pretty good.
Mixed up a few recipes the other day — one refill and the others will be new to me. Two are pistachio flavors. I have a third pistachio that I am getting ready to mix. I am giving one last ditch attempt at a pistachio rice pudding. This is my third attempt and if it does not work out, then that is it — maybe. It is the darn fading of the rice so hope this recent version does not fade as fast.
One that I mixed last week and was ready to vape smells rotten. FA came out with five or six Pazzo flavors a year or so ago. I have a recipe that uses the Pazzo RE (King) which is a black currant flavor. When I went to mix I found the concentrate was kind of green in color. The completed juice smells rotten — I am not even going to try vaping this. Mix and concentrate down the drain.
Of the FAUK one shot blends I have tried so far, the best one so far is Brekkers which is an espresso. The other one I tried is CF Envy mixed at 3% which was too low so could hardly taste it. I am going to try Custard Pi and Vanilla Custard next @ 4% although I did use Custard Pi in one of the mixes I did — kind of like putting the cart before the horse.
Mixed Fran’s Irish Whiskey smells yum. VT Scotch Whiskey smells realistic to me so will see how in vapes in a few weeks.
I will mix a simple experiment with VT Orange Marmalade and FA Mandarin/Tanger. I did up both by 1.5 over the G&T I mixed. Other than that it includes VT Fizzy Sherbet and FA Cream Fresh although I am not so sure about mixing a cream with fizzy.

Those 2 are from OSDIY. Maybe they don't use some of the ingredients that cause a perfumey taste to some people in some of the DIYFlavorShack one shots. I haven't gotten that taste from any of the 17 OSDIY one shots I've tried so far.

Thanks, I totally missed that in his post. Yes, I have no perfume taste from the OSDIY one shots, it is DIYflavorshack that gave me perfume notes which is what I was referencing in Hittman's post earlier.

Joke or no joke, I used Custard Pi in a tobacco custard mix at 2%. The calculators I did for both Custard Pi and Vanilla Custard I initially did at 3% however I was not sure if I would be able to taste it based on the few FAUK one shot blends I tried so far. I plan to mix tomorrow so I can always go back to 3% or better yet I will do a compromise at 3.5%.
Here’s the scoop on the virtual credit card number. My credit card is with Citi Bank so at the time it was on their home page where I read about it as well as called to speak to a representative. It was designed to be used with Windows and not IOS. If this has changed, I do not know. On the other hand I did not know this is available through Apple pay — poor excuse on my part so thanks for making me aware of this and the link.
I finally tried my Orion Quests and I do like them. For those using the Orion Q I was able to buy the 1.0 ohm replacement pods from Eight Vape for under $6 for two pods plus I did get $5 off with that darn Honey using code BGG8FB. Whether they have the DNA version for the same price I do not know. EV is a vendor that I try to avoid although I have never had an issue with them. I did receive an Out for Delivery notice this morning so should be here in a couple of hours.
Still seems odd... if your browser will get you to their site, regardless of the OS, it should be able to get you a number... maybe another Apple monopoly... must use THEIR card?
I’m glad you like them. I have two Orion Q and one dna. I like the Q better than the dna. The dna is too fiddly and hard to get set where it doesn’t burn the pods. One complaint I have on the pods is the drip tips keep falling off and I almost lost one at work. I bought a fair amount of pods for both and am going to finish off the ones I have in use and then they are all going into storage. I recently got a geekvape frenzy and like it really well. It’s a tighter airflow. However, like any device it has it’s cons. The pod is hard to see the liquid level when filling and I wish it had a little more airflow.
With the stock tips on the Q, I had to use pliers to pull them off as mine were tight. With the replacement tips, the fit is perfect — snug but easy to get it on and keep them on. If I drop it though not sure if the tip would fall off. I like the nice airy air flow.
I notice the same. Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised by the taste after a tank has sat overnight.
Just thought I'd drop this info here, since the OSDIY thread is no longer open for replies. Others may not know about it either.
