You are one tough cookie to deal with all of that. At some point it's just not worth putting up with the verbal abuse. Good luck to you.
Being the oldest in my family, getting most of the chores, and having been on my own for many years (before getting married) has matured my coping mechanisms significantly. Unfortunately a few years ago, I started getting anxiety attacks, which would hit me out of the blue and without warning, even when current situations were perfectly calm. I swore I was having a heart attack every time, the way it felt... Scary as all Hell! After going to the emergency room a few times, they determined my health and heart were perfectly fine, so it had to be anxiety. I am now on a low dose of Celexa to keep them at bay, which has also helped me deal with all of the crap at home much better. I'm able to keep my cool far easier, which I'm sure infuriates the husband to no end. I can stand there calmly, while he screams his head off. ;) It's not to say that I don't feel the stress, I do, but I'm able to not fall apart as I'm sure I would without it, but thank you, @hittman . Yes, I am one tough cookie, as you put it. :2cool:

Well, the boy had his doctor's appointment yesterday and said it was OK. I'm certain that he didn't open up as he should have, because he told me my husband was in the room with him. :grr: He says his next appointment will be one on one, so hopefully he can get whatever is troubling him off his chest then. Doctor wants to rule out drug use, so I need to also take him for a urine test.

My husband was snippy with me last night, while he was telling me about the urine test, questionnaire, and upcoming appointments. I asked my son if his father was cranky about having to take him to the appointment and he said that his father told him that he shouldn't have to go to this doctor at all. My husband may not care about his own mental state, but he sure as Hell better care about his child's!

My car is home, inspected, and running well, despite it's advanced age (long live the '97 Chevy Lumina)! What a relief it is to be able to pick up and go, whenever I need to. Getting up at 6am on the weekends, just to drive my husband to work for 6:20am so that I can have the car for the day, was getting really annoying. He works literally less than a mile from home, but refuses to take any other mode of transportation to get there. :glare:

I had a vape-related response before I started typing, but now I've forgotten what the heck it was. :?: It'll come back to me... I hope.

EDIT: Now, I remember! As for the V1 vs V2 flavorings... I've read that the bad stuff is also in analogs, but in far higher concentrations than in flavorings.... So, vape on, friends! :vapor:
My daughter drives a green ‘99 Lumina she calls the Green Hornet. (She was 5 when it rolled off the assembly line lol!!!) It only had 12.000 miles on it when she got it, and she dearly loves that car!!!
Himself has a dinner with his aussie coworkers tonight, so hopefully I can fit in some mixing after chores

I'm beginning to think that I'm never going to get the 4ml zlide from FT. It cleared customs on the 12th.
There is nothing reassuring about FT. The products they sell or if/how they get to you. If they weren't so inexpensive no one would tolerate them. :)

I'm a fan. The stuff always get here eventually. And by the time it does, it's like a surprise package, because I've forgotten what I ordered.

Hang in there , you know that light at the end of the tunnel that everyone always talks about? Your Zlide is probably sitting next to it.

I placed two orders with FT about 6 months ago. The second order was placed 4 weeks after the first order and got here first.

Well, there is that. :) But I suspect if one was ordering a Provari or Diocedes or a Kayfun or Kabuki or any moderate or highly valued item they would probably not be especially happy wondering why it takes a month-long tour of the world before it gets to them (if it gets to them). Or, if what they bought falls short of expectations. No?

It's not to put down SlowTech, but rather an emphasis on the old saying, "You get what you pay for". Let's be honest, our fume factor would be different if a $12 atty got screwed up Vs a $90 atty.

I did order those drip tips that I believe Rose posted awhile back. I mean, they were like $10 for 5 of them. Took them three weeks to get here but they are decent tips so it worked out this time. And as you say it was kind of a nice little surprise to finally get them after I had lost total interest.

Well, I got caught up in Medicare Advantage plans and didn't get anything done today.
Got a friend who just turned 65. I asked her if she signed up for Medicare yet. She said the amount of stuff she has to go thru is overwhelming. So no, she hasn't signed up yet.

Just because it says processed thru that does not mean customs did not hold onto it. The only way to know is to take the tracking number to your po and ask the postmaster. They look at a different system than we see. They can tell you if customs has it or not. If so that means its in a ware house somewhere and doubtul you will ever receive it. Best thing is put a ticket in to ft and ask them to check with po so it can be declared lost so you get your money back. Sorry. I went thru this and had to wait the time allotted by ft amd po. I did get my money back from them. It just took a couple of months.

Just make sure if you do make a change....to ask for a confirmation number after they tell you you are all set. They wont offer one. You have to ask for it.

Plain medicare is a snap. Tell her to go ahead. It's the other plans that pay more that I'm looking into. What I want is only covered by a Medicare Advantage Plan.

Thanks for the heads up.:) Daughter and I are going to talk to the professionals on this Sunday morning. I've already found what I want but I'll listen.

It certainly is enough to make your hair gray--over night. Its a shame the way this country treats its elderly citizens. They make things so confusing and it doesn't have to be. She will do well if she figures out the rules and what is required of her so she doesn't incur any penalties. But its big business and everyone wants a slice of you. Baby boomers are starting to retire and there are a lot of us.

That’s about on the par with my day.... family stuff, then a haul to Walmart because apparently they’re the only place that still sells pantyhose (ugh). So, I went ahead and did the groceries to not make it a wasted trip. Walmart sucked all the “want to” out of me for the moment to mix.
