OMG. The husband went back to the Tucson house as planned. The hot water heater burst and has been running for like, several WEEKS. The whole structure is.... Well, the floors, doors and even the CEILING is buckled. Water everywhere, including the floorboards. Mold growing on everything, because the water was HOT so it condensed EVERYWHERE.

It literally looks like one of those "before" house rehab shows where you are like "OMFG that is STAGED." Only it's REAL.

There is no WAY it is not going to be condemned. I am, I don't even-- We have no idea like, what the insurance company is going to do yet. There's no way it can e remediated and I say that with FULL confidence.

The sad thing is the husband actually replaces what ever that pipe thing is called that dispenses hot water, and drains that sucker. It was on his TO DO list. I feel SO BAD for him. He has receipts even of the last time so they can't say it was neglect.

Like, okay so if they have to replace it that could be in our favor I guess. Only I have the sinking suspicion (but I'm feeling pretty pessimistic these days) that we ware going to wind up owning some land... In Tucson.

They cant remediate though the ceilings are literally caving in and moldy.

I mean, I hope they don't just hand us the rest of our mortgage money and go "here" but who knows what the adjuster gonna do.

I have a jillion notes. The husband has been (psychosomatically, I am pretty sure) puking all night. I HATE it. He gets in to this "Argh, nuh, nuh, nuh argh" cycle and it's so ANNOYING. It makes me want to go punch him in the nuts and like go, "I will give you something to "Nuh" about.

I mean, I don't do it, I feel bad for the dude and don't get me wrong we were like a MONTH away. All that work. All that money. Probably for NOTHING.

Oh dear.

The husband has fixed more stuff than I probably even know exists, LOL, It's also not a job for one person and when I saw the video even I (I know nothing) would not even let the insurance company TRY. I mean it would turn into one of those "sick" houses. He did not even look underneath. No point. I would not want to do that to somebody and the amount of mold EVERYWHRE? Nah. It's condemn or nothing and we are NEVER going to find a company to remediate it at the current time. I wouldn't let the husband even try.

It's like.... Yeah, it's major damage and the house is so old even though it was just rehabbed, despite the possibility of remediation I can't imagine them doing much but hauling it away. What they replace it with is anyone's guess? I mean, the Mortgage company has to get in on the action and there are comps and stuff, it's all super confusing. I mean, the last house that sold of that age on the market was considerably more than we paid for ours. That's kind of what I'm worried about though. What the ACTUAL payout will be.

It's not fixable and even if it were, I'd probably eat it than try to sell it to some unsuspecting couple with two kids. OMG.

I like my Zeus X tanks very much and have no problems with the oring that Mike Vapes mentions in his review. I also like these RTAs as a single coil. Admittedly, none of the three I own have gotten major workouts since I switch up RTAs pretty often.

I read straight-up Tic Tacs on the Reddit review of Butter Mint, which is what made me decide not to try it. I like my mints creamier. Maybe I wll get some and try it mixed with creams and vanilla. Thank you for confirming the review.
Oh yeah my Zeus x is my fav rta by far. Just need to figure out that oring issue. The butter mint definitely needs something. Cream is probably the way to go.

Notice you will get a more buttery flavor once it has had a few days. Let us know.....good though, huh?
It’s not what I expected but I can vape anything that doesn’t vape me first (except floral). This is my second tank of it and I’m still vaping it. Just amazes me the people who make these juices can nail a flavor like this. My next tank I’m going to add a drop of Bavarian cream or tobacco.

Oh no. Sounds bad, but let the insurance company do their thing. Hang in there. My hot water heater is 18 years old and I’m in the works to get mine replaced soon.

That’s horrible! I feel really bad for you. Where in the house is the water heater? Ours is in the basement beside the furnace and there’s a floor drain a couple feet away. Ours was leaking a little a few years ago and I put in a new one with stainless braided hoses.

I am so sorry, @stols001 . I remember buying a house and when the water was turned on flooding from the valve being left open. In the short time before we could turn it off, water had gone into 2 rooms and ruined carpeting.

It is so devastating because of all the work you put into it and the delay with selling.

Best of luck to you, hang in there. Give copies of receipts for all the materials to the insurance agency.

#1 house insurance claim: Water damage from failing appliances...most often from ruptured water supply hoses.

Lesson: Go around your house and replace all water supply hoses using steel braided supply hoses. Toilets, sinks, water heaters, washing machines, etc. Also inspect/replace the water supply on your refrigerator (for water dispenser and icemaker).

The damage caused by these failures is often catastrophic. Seen it way too many times.

Yup. The husband mentioned that. I think he did it with a lot of the house, because there was a ton of plumbing cursing on his part. We bought it from Mexican drug lords which was okay at the time, only they did stuff like REMOVE all the copper piping as it had usefulness and replace it with really bad stuff. In one instance, it was such a mess, we had to get a plumber in (my husband views that as a personal defeat.)

I should post before and after pictures, after I do my notes which is happening.

The husband is absolutely devastated. He's an engineer/architect/Appalachian child who got away so he also knows how to do stuff etc.

I mean the kitchen, OMG, it was WAY better than we'd get even in a new home, it was a freaking work of ART. I was like, "Well, someone is going to enjoy it."

LOL it did remind me of this manufactured home we saw. It was huge, and it was empty. It also CLEARLY had major mold issues.

The even cooler part was there was the EXACT same model sort of LURKING maybe 30 feet behind it, with like, NO exterior, just the insulation, and this pair of I think, creators and users of illegal drugs, and they had a tiny kid.

They were playing outside, and like, I was like,, "OH MY GOD do you LIVE HERE?" and they were all cheerful and were like, 'YES! Our parents gave us this one when they got the new one."

I mean, even if the house had been perfect... I would have had to be calling CPS all the time etc. LOL.

It is the total worst. I wish the husband would get over his psychosomatically induced gastric issues, he is LOUD OMG but I have learned from experience to ignore him completely. Telling him it is psychosomatic is not useful I have found.

I hope he doesn't die. If he leaves me with this issue, I don't quite know what I will do.

Oh, did I mention I have my performance review Tuesday morning? I swear, life is sucking in all ways .I bet it's horrible.

Oh well, I barely scored on the Unlocked Encounter shame board this last month. I was at 15, below the target of 25.

The husband is now praying to die. He needs to man up. I have manned up, I'm just like, okay well I have been homeless (and hopefully this time not jobless) before.

    It sucks.

@hittman ours was in the laundry room, specifically an enclosed wall behind it because it was ugly so the husband set it up as easy to remove. It was like number 2 on his list of things to do next!

For some reason, Tucson houses don't have basements, it could be due to the monsoons I guess or maybe the way the earth is. Most Tucson homes are like one story only. It's a manufactured home. The price of remediating it is not worth the insurance company's time. We only remediate it because a lot of it was in decent shape, and we knew some CA folks would buy it,

Really, it's sad. I mean the husband is an upstanding gentleman, he actually replaced the FUSE BOX himself when he rehabbed the dang, house in Baltimore (he said like attaching it was one of the most terrifying moments of his life, LOL even though he called the power company 3 times.) There was a lot of stuff we could have let go but did not let go, because it wasn't done correctly.

It really, really sucks. I only let the husband do the work because it was gonna make us SO much money. The Californians are invading and they all want to live where we live. We were gonna sell a "Well maintained" older home and the last one sold comparable to use was double our mortgage and like now? I have NO CLUE.

Oh-oh, the husband is chanting like Indian chants now. This is getting psychosomatically bad....

F it I'mma juts gonna do notes. He will get better and hopefully I will NOT get fired.

I am also in some slight favor of buying land and reasonably large RV and NOT paying any rent, but man that becomes a bit of an adventure. I'd have to let the husband know he was dealing with WHATEVER toilet we got (composting probably) but maybe now is not the TIME. Or, we can move. My credit is recovering substantially cuz I have like, not missed a payment. Everyone is sending me higher interest loans saying "Do you want to pay off your loan." It's actually better in some ways because a personal loan looks better than credit consolidation but it's also not such a good idea... .Not yet. We have no clue what is happening.

Ugh I am now so wishing we had that 30K BACK. Land here is CHEAP we could buy an RV and it would be FINE. At least for a while.

Maybe they will pay off our mortgage plus SOME money. IDK. The property is beautiful. I'm sure we could sell IT.

Okay I am done speculating about this. No point. Sigh.
