I have CAP vanilla custard. A lot of people like it, I'm not really a big fan of it though. I use it primarily to add thickness and mouthfeel to a mix. Bavarian Creme TPA does that just as well. My "new to me" favorite cream to play with right now is Vienna Cream FA.

I want to do my taxes today. I think I’ll recoil an atty first and make a new recipe to get me through the drudgery of it. I’m sitting here looking at an eggnog recipe but I don’t have everything for it so I’ll be winging it.

I'll be interested in your results. I just read a piece somewhere yesterday (CRS) saying that INW Raspberry is excellent. I haven't looked yet to see if I have it.

I'm sensing there is a considerable difference between the FW and FA versions based on how they smell. I'd like to be more precise in knowing what the difference is. They also impart a different color after two weeks of steeping.

pipesandcigars.com order showing shipped, in transit, and moving through Easton PA. Which probably means it is being processed for air mail in LVI Airport, or on a truck moving down I-81.
Tracking reports arrival by the end of day on Tuesday. Might be time to get the Mason Jars prepped.

If you do, please share it. I need an excuse to use the cornbread I bought.

I use pudding base at 3-4% in other mixes. Are you expecting much of a steep on this?

I like CAP vanilla custard, but you can't overdo it, kinda. It gets pretty custardy pretty quick.

Ya'all are so industrious. I really need to get on notes soon like REALLY.

3-4 weeks. The pudding aspect of LMP really deepens after the 3 week mark and I am hoping for the same result with this mix. At least the new mix won't have lemon fade.. If I was using pudding base on it's own I would probably mix it at a higher percentage. I think flapper pie helps give the pudding base a little more ooomph.

I'm using CAP in a chocolate custard recipe I'm experimenting with now. I have 7% of it in the recipe. Sounds like I might have blown that one up.

Third World Custard (credit to ThirdWorldOrder):

    Cake Batter (CAP) 1.00%
    French Vanilla (CAP) 2.50%
    Golden Butter (CAP) 0.20%
    Marshmallow (FA) 1.50%
    Vanilla Custard (CAP) 10.00%

Nice and creamy with a buttery finish. My favorite custard.

It layers and blends kind of nicely so it will depend on your other flavors I think.
