@hittman - Thanks to you, I had to order more Fuji without the benefit of a sale. I am in love with Cran-Apple! :) I ordered FA and JF since I liked the JF and it is on sale now. I changed up the recipe a bit from the last test I posted.

Chilled Cranberry Apple
Cotton Candy (10% EM/Ethyl Maltol) (TPA) 2%
Cranberry (TPA) 7%
Fuji (Jungle Flavors) 4%
Lemon (FE) .25%
Shape Up Pear (Molinberry) .75%
WS-23 30% .50%

I also got some INW Two Apples so that I can play with this a bit once I am settled in Seattle. So, thanks, I guess. LOL

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you one and all!! I finally had my light bulb moment.

Reading @WhiteHighlights post about using the nail polish cases, and @JCinFLA posts of how she uses her cards; a simple economical solution finally came to me. As usual; I was going about it all wrong!

Stop trying to label the bottles; and just label the location!

I mix differently than JC; in that I don't pull multiple flavors all at once. I pull, use, then return each flavor; before moving on to the next one. So, putting the right flavor in the wrong location is not a concern of mine. Therefore; marking the bottle is not crucial.

I intend to move away from my cookie sheet:

and return to my photo boxes:

The only difference is; this time, instead of sorting by alphabet (flavor name), I will only be sorting by basic bottle size.

The big revelation boils down to the dividers:
upload_2018-7-7_22-45-59.png

I have always used foam core posterboard in the past. It was cheap, readily available, and rigid. I cut it short, to allow as much of the bottle (and label), to stay as visible as possible. This, I could get to the general area easily enough, but I couldn't find the specific bottle without handling 6-8 bottles.

This time, I am going to ignore marking, or being able to read the bottle entirely. Instead, I will make the divider the full hight of the box (taller than the bottles), and place the locator directly above the bottle. It will be just like JC labeling her box lids, or WhiteHighlights labeling the case doors.

If I get a new flavor; it goes to the back of the appropriate box. If I remove a flavor from my stash; that location becomes available for the next new one. If I buy the flavor in a larger/smaller bottle; I just move the box it is in, and change the locator in the calculator program.:D

The locator system should be relatively straight forward.
-- Box number
-- Row (designated by a letter; to differentiate from box and space number)
-- numerical location in row
So it would look like: 1-A-1, or 3-G-12. 3-G-12 would tell me at a glance that concentrate X is located in box #3, 7th row, the 12th bottle from the left.

Sorry if all that is confusing... I have it clear in my mind. I will post a picture or two when I get it finished (may be a week or so).:D

Thanks again for everyone's brainstorming! I doubt I ever would have figured it out without all your fresh ideas coming at me. I appreciate you all!!

I still have 7 more flavorings coming. NR hasn't shipped yet. But, I've already re-arranged my flavorings with my new containers. Now everything's all spread out and easy to find. (They had been getting pretty stacked up in the little compartments.)

Then the 120 ml bottles are in the refrigerator door.

Thanks Sugar! Now we'll see if I can actually execute.:D
It is labor intensive at first especially when you first start it up because of the amount of flavoring/bottles we tend to collect the longer we vape, but in the end it will be quite rewarding. Instead of saying ' I just saw that flavoring and I need it, but which case is it in. lol Been there done that.

:)

I did a peak in my drawer divider and I see no hope Very few flat top bottles and too many pointed bottles. I think my problems are multiple. I can't fit my new fruits in the fruit dividers,I haven't listed my new flavors,my newer flavor are scattered around my drawer, counter, computer desk. I had everything pretty nicely settled until the influx of new flavors. I can solve all these problems with another case. So I'm going to give one last shot to organizing the drawer divider. If That doesn't work well another case will be on the way.

You could pull one or two early to try.
I could but I won't. They're less than a week old. It's not like I have nothing to vape. I have plenty of older stuff. I've actually been quite lazy about changing up flavors.

Sooo I put labels on my few flat cap bottles. At least a little helpful. I put away my new additives (Had room in case). I organized overflo somewhat, mostly larger sizes of flavors I already have.I'm getting there. Can you tell I'm avoiding buying another case? Cuts into my flavoring fund.....LOL.

I don't know how you guys can keep your sanity with having your flavors stored like that. When I'm sitting down to a mixing session I want my flavors in front of me and easy to find.
I just don't have the room.

Agreed. My not so organized stash of flavors was driving me crazy. I pull the flavors I'm going to use and line them up by the bottle I'm going to mix into. It was a PIA to do that when I was doing 6+ mixes as I kept searching for the flavors. It took me longer to do the set up than it did to actually mix them all.

This one is much cheaper. I bought one of each to compare them. I thought I would like the more expensive one more. But, I like the cheaper one more instead.

What I like about it is that it has one compartment that's larger. They leave out one of the dividers so that one compartment on each side is double height. It just so happens that I have just enough of the tall glass 30 ml bottles to make use of that one compartment on each side.

That's why I like a tackle box. Unfolds to tiered bottles laying so their labels can be seen. Portable so it's not always taking up counter space.

My flavor stash is a completely disorganized mess. I just keep out the flavors for the recipes I’m currently using. Other than that it’s a wild goose chase. I do have two good size organizers but they aren’t organized. I at least took the time to update my list on the computer so I at least can tell if I have a flavor or not.

I finished mixing my single flavor testers from my last order this morning and mixed up a cranberry kiwi tester to try. I have a system I call organized chaos. I rely heavily on my memory to remember where I put stuff. I envy those who have good organization skills.

They are in front of me, all I need to make whatever. Once I know what I plan on mixing, I pull all of those flavors out. If my next recipe happens to call for a flavor already out, I just put it by the rest of the flavors for that mix instead of putting it back it is location in the case.

I used to spend more time looking for my flavors that it took to mix it up. Was already worn out before I even started. lol Now it takes a few mins and I am mixing instead searching.

    :)
