I'm not a big believer in online education at least not more than about 15%. Post college, maybe a bit more, but you get things from an in person class (I did anyway) that I just did not in an in person class. Of course, like anyone I had periods of boredom but it's good to cope with those too.

IDK all the different student perspectives and thoughts, it was fun. I hear they have live online classes but like, meh, IDK.

Yoga was... I felt I should take some responsibility for it, like. I mean my Creator is busily finding me homes, selling mine, etc.

Holy bejesus though, I must say, it didn't HURT exactly but day three was EFFORTFUL. Add in all that cleaning it was a lot.

I did not fall over, it didn't hurt exactly but every time a pose ended I was like, 'Thank you God, oen pose closer to ending."

I agree. I feel like something is lost with online classes. The girl that backed out on my daughter for being roommates signed up for all online classes except one and lives an hour from campus with her parents. I understand that she decided to save money by staying home but feel like she’ll miss out on a lot of personal interaction.

There are benefits to both online and in person classes. I liked a mix of both. Some subjects are better with interaction, some don't benefit from it. Mathematics and some physical sciences worked best for me online, less social distractions let me focus better. I guess it's all personal, what works for one might not work for another. Taste is not the only thing that's subjective.

The ghost was in the attic that was finished off in a living area and 2 bedrooms. My Mom always kept the bottom of stairs door locked. When I was around 12 I had a bunch of friends over and We played in the attic. Safety in numbers...right? When it was time for everyone to head home I was the last in line going down the stairs. I caught movement at one of the bedrooms doors. I looked and saw the door opening. One skeleton hand gripping the door. I didn’t wait to see the rest and I hit the bottom of the stairs fast and locked the door......Their are other stories but that’s the one that really rattled me.
I cannot say I blame you. I would have been clamoring to move.

My youngest daughter started her online summer classes last week. She ended up with 11 hours this summer since she has to retake the chemistry class. I’m still shaking my head at the tuition bill for the summer.
Yeah paying for all of those retired professors get expensive.

@NolaMel prayers for you in the storm!
Thank you! My mom said they made it sound dreadful down here. But, we’ve had more rain and higher winds with plain ol thunderstorms. Our poor weather people seem a little disappointed. Not much to show on the hourly updates. The solar battery wall is charged up, so we should have full power, just in case. I don’t think it’ll get much worse than it’s been (knock on wood)
A good rainy day will give me a chance to unpack, log in and store my BCF order. It’s still in the box. Thinking of continuing the challenge (for myself) to try and use the new flavors.

It's been plenty windy and rainy over here on the east side, but yeah nothing worse than I've seen with severe thunderstorms except for the length of time of course.

It's a bit windy here but nothing major. I was like "Go me when I did an annoying but easy task scheduled for tomorrow. Now I rest, sorta. Momentarily I will begin vaping the vapes I don't take to bed off for the day and plan to be in bed by 10 I hope. Probably not asleep but there is NO WAY I am letting the donkey pass out before ME. Etc. Heh.

It's only 87 here, way cooler than normal. But the AC is fixed - there was a short the guy had to track down that caused the transformer to fry. Some would've replaced the transformer and left and it would've gone out again real fast, so this guy was great.

Smart, actually. Do it right the first time, don't have to come back under warranty.

I mowed the lawn this afternoon. It was 87 and it took me 3 hours including a couple of tea breaks. Not much energy left after that.

I mixed my three bottles that were getting low. Didn't get around to the new flavors. Started on rewicking. The first one was a KFL. Got it all done and noticed an o-ring lying on the table. So I took it all back apart and did it again. That was the end of my wicking efforts for today.

No cooking today. Just raided the freezer.

In London I lived in a flat that was the top floor of a house built in 1790, well outside the city back then. It was built by the guy who invented Summer Time. He was an Earl I think. It was originally a huge L shaped mansion. The small arm was the servants quarters. The main part burned down long ago but the servants quarters survived and got converted into flats. It was supposed to have the ghost of a servant who died in the fire but I never saw it.

We lived here for a few years,

And while I never felt/saw/sensed anything, Pat and the kids did.

    Good to hear!

I had just moved to Houston when Ike hit-what a way to start my big adventure! Happy accident, my apartment complex was on a hospital grid so got all my utilities back in just a few hours.

Married and gone at 17. Unfortunately it wasen’t the last time I felt chills down my spine. Hubs and I found a closed Insane Asylum in WV years ago.

. It was a huge place and open to tour. I refused to go in. I was afraid of what I would see and or feel. I got a really bad feeling just looking at the barred windows.
