I would have done that when I was pregnant. I kid you not..I was living in Missouri at the time and every darn fast food/restaurant had it on the menu. I would have to leave for work early to grab some biscuits and gravy. For fast food I liked Hardee's version.
When I was pregnant, every morning before work I went by Burger King and bought two ham, egg and cheese croisann’wiches. I would tell everyone I was eating for two. I craved them. I haven’t had one since.

Back in the early (19, NOT 18!) 70s, my then wife and I spent about 3 months in England and Scotland, stayed at many "bed & breakfast" places. One, where they knew we were heading for a train early the next morning, blithely asked if we'd like to be "knocked up" in the morning. :w00t:
I hope you said yes. It was probably your only chance to experience the joys of motherhood. Just think--you and your wife, gestating together.

I love biscuits the same way. If you like it with butter and honey you should try it with butter and this:

That stuff is very similar to golden syrup.

When my wife and I were buying our previous house in Clearwater Florida we took our realtor out to breakfast with us. As usual, I ordered a full fledged meal for myself-- pancakes, eggs, home fries, bacon, country ham, and biscuits and gravy. When it was our realtor's turn she simply said a large bowl of sausage gravy.

I was perplexed... I hope this lady doesn't think I am going to share one of my biscuits with her.

I kid you not, when the food came she grabbed a spoon and ate it like soup.

Every house she showed us that day was overshadowed by her act at the breakfast table, I couldn't stop thinking about it.

No, we drive on the right side of the road.

I drive on both sides, depending on my state of awareness. Sometimes it is deliberate, when I am passing on a one lane each road. But it is not ALL the time that way, lemme tell ya.

I utilize the road. I win. I am better than ALL and have also driven in England, Scotland, Australia and HERE.

I also drove a "volvo amended" that my parents wanted to take that was set up British but was um sort of allowed to drive it set up, but the wrong way.

No wonder I suck.

Sigh. Long, bad day.

My only question is, what the heck do they call a biscuit? A scone?

Yes - Biscuits are considered very similar to the Scones - almost made the same way too. However, Scones can be made with many different additional ingredients to make them either sweet or savory. One of my favorites is having a Scone w/Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam.

Also, as for the British Biscuits (Cookies), most are made similarly to what we might call a "Short Bread" (both Round/Square) that are sweet and can even have nuts/a "fruit" jam filling in the middle or on top - think Pecan Sandies. A favorite of mine you can get almost anywhere in grocery stores and even CVS/Walgreens was "Walkers Shortbread Pure Butter Cookies", also there is the "Millionare Shortbread Bar" . . . "YUM" ! ! !

If it makes you feel better I would go to different fast food joints before work. Yes, I could almost say I felt like a contestant on "My 600lb life".
LOL I perfected a recipe for sharing with my hubs. He never had biscuits/gravy until 2008 when I decided to perfect a recipe. (I was off my low carb diet).
When I was taking high dose steroids back in 2016 I craved mcdonalds cheeseburgers. (I know they are grease burgers). I don't eat out anymore. Burger king-I loved the spicy chicken sandwiches.

    Somewhere between here and there
@hittman I have mail. What a cute little kit, I love it. I didn’t realize it was JoyeTech. Thank you  Vape mail can be such fun.

You’re welcome. Maybe one day I’ll get this ecig shopping addiction under control. Maybe not.

I've had the Walkers Butter Cookies, they are delicious. I've also had some of the Jaffa Cakes. If I remember right they have fruit on them.
