I think it will work out
@FranC it's just why like certain brokerages of things are like worth it. Really. If you are smart enough you CAN learn enough to be proficient in just about everything like, I mean really.
But it's often not worth the time and energy it takes. Plus, when you gotta sit down and politely explain to the person why it is they can't do what they want because it's in the contract.
I (fairly often) get paid to tell people they are wrong and to help them figure out why and how. This contract will hopefully not fall under THAT type of contract. Because if it gets too outrageous, well, I can make it bad for THEM too. I can do every known living inspection known to mankind, if they break the contract or try to one too many times and they do it, and I neutrally say, "That would be your judgment call" and then I can make them pay me for each and every contract, sue for breach of contract, blah blah yeah no. I will just be like... "Negotiating a contract separates the men from the boys, and well, if this is how it is going to be, we will not proceed."
I think it's gonna be okay. They are just doing what people do which is what they want to do, which is what works best for them. I am fairly sure it will be Just Fine.
