I’ve heard minty or menthol vapes can help. I had it for about a day once. I switched over to unflavored juice. Taste started coming back midway through the next day. I tried too many strongly flavored mixes over a few days. I felt like that caused mine.

I till get vt on occasion. Mint or lemon vapes help me some.

I don't have any lemon. I might have a mint juul pod laying around here somewhere. I'd rather not get the Juul back out, I've pulled back the nic level since I've used it last and it might make me sick. Hmm.

Vaper's tongue is a strange thing. My Chinese food tasted fine, just can't taste vape.

Tested another of my tester mixes and this one is a surprising success. I modified it a bit from a recipe posted on the DIYORDIE FB page. Since I don't like ice cream vapes, I didn't expect to like this but I do. So does my son. It is 17% flavor, high for me, but it works.

Raspberry Frozen Yogurt
Cream Fresh (FA) 1%
DX Whipped Cream (TPA) 2%
Greek Yogurt (Flavorah) 2.5%
Raspberry (Sweet) (TPA) 3%
Shisha Raspberry (VTA) 2%
SugarDaddy Sweetener 1%
Sweet Cream (Flavorah) 1%
Vanilla Swirl (TPA) 4%
WS-23 30% 0.5%

SUBS:
Raspberry CAP 4.5% for the TFA Raspberry Sweet 3%
Raspberry(Koncetrat) INW 1% or INW Malina .5% for the VT Shisha 2%
Super Sweet CAP 1% (.5%) for the SugarDaddy Sweetener

I can see this working and being beneficial. Is there a certain recipe(s) you have in mind for this?
No specific recipe in mind. My flavor base suggestion stemmed from your prior comment:
I wondered if my dropping the sweetener so drastically threw the ratios off.
Using a complete flavor base, and changing the overall (total flavoring)dilution, would preserve the concentrate-to-concentrate ratios without having to do the math. Mostly I was just thinking out loud... ;):D
I know everyone taste differently but I’ve honestly never had any type of basil which was minty to me and I thought I’d tried most types.
I never got "mint out of basil either. Basil tastes like basil to me... it is unique. If it has any similarity to any other herb, I would have to agree with PJ, and say anise. Though, it is not so much the taste of anise, as it is slightest hint of aroma. Pairs well with citrus, cucumber, melons, and even gin and/or vodka for the boozy folks. My little neighborhood watering hole does a cucumber basil lime (gin) gimlet that awesome on a hot summer afternoon.:D

So ever since I got home from work today I can't taste my vape at all. I thought maybe it was just that I've been vaping mostly apple for a week now, so I switched to RY4D and still nothing. It's like I'm vaping water. I get a little bit of smell if I blow out my nose but that's it.

I'd ask if I was using too much ethyl maltol but the RY4D mix doesn't have any in it. I suspect I have the vaper's tongue.

This is going to make it hard to test DIY mixes if my taste doesn't come back soon.
Sniff fresh coffee (in the can).

It's interesting to experience the stages of steeping. 4 days after mixing I was just getting the Pine Tree taste of gin. This morning is the 5th day I started to taste a bit of fruit. Now the WS-23 has taken over. Getting the impression of menthol without the taste.I don't mix with menthol much and when I do,I don't want to taste it. I can still taste a bit of pine tree along with the WS-23 ATM

Well the taste buds seem to be back on the job this morning.

As far as the coffee suggestions, I too drink coffee all day at the office. Yesterday was no exception, so I don't suspect that helps me. And I probably don't need an excuse to drink more coffee.

Thanks for all the suggestions though. But I think the taste buds just needed a break. Should be good to go now.

Talking plants, purple basil has a lot of anise flavor to it so I bet there is a link to that chemical somewhere in the regular basil flavor profile.
I don't get any mint from the real plants.
