Anyone have plans today? DD and GS are away so SIL and I are having grilled steaks and salad. SIL will do the grilling so no cooking for me

The family fireworks and festivities was last weekend, which we stayed home for as we had my doctors appointment in Charlottesville to consider, which is always hard on me.

So today we have no plans, just staying home. I'll cook something for dinner, I'm still a bit lost on what. Probably just some hamburgers on the grill with various sides (salad, deviled eggs etc)

This morning I have some slightly overripe bananas that must be used so I'm making either banana nut bread or banana nut muffins today... I guess that choice depends on what kind of pan we might want to clean later, a bread pan or a cupcake pan..hahaha I guess I could make banana cake too. . hmm.. deep thoughts.

Morning, all, and Happy Fourth :)

Been relatively quiet around here, just one or two bozos who can't seem to realize that when a sunbeam through a broken glass can start a fire, fireworks just might be worse... even though banned.

I suspect we'll be doing our best to keep everything wet here...

What if I'm anti-mixing (gasp)?

So I usually vape unflavored, because it reduces the chemical count, but I wouldn't mind a single-flavoring once in a while, like for 1 small tank full. Maybe dedicate a tank or coil to it.

Are there single flavorings that are any good? I know, I know...."depends on what you like". But I'm thinking just something simple, a good berry or a good mint or maybe a sour. IDK. And from whom?

While not necessarily a single flavor, you might want to look at some of the "one-shots" several vendors sell. As easy to mix as a single flavor, but a mix of flavors. Here's one link, good people :)

you might like this attachment (for download) it's the "ultimate fruit pairing" chart. Helps you find flavors that go together, that you may not have thought about...
Thanks Opie, this looks brilliant!!

it is pretty cool... I think if you find two fruits, for instance, that go together you can find what spices, nuts, or even alcohols etc that pair well with both and then you have some choices to run through for how you might throw it all together into something new and delicious.

If it works in RL it's gotta work in vaping. :)

I have one, it's fine. Does everything, costs 100 bucks ish, and gets replaced if ever needed to, cheap. Can do grilling, and smoking too.

Gave my barrel smoker away when I moved. Too much to haul around and store, was sitting outside (covered) and just mostly sits. So bye.

Traeger...looks like a smoker-oven, not really a searing-grill. So IDK how you sear a steak on it. It sure looks nice with even heat, smoke flavor, and sliding grill grades. Not dissing it, it is what it is. But I don't think you can sear on it easily, or maybe it's just automagic that things will get brown bits.

Haven't used a gas grill in 12-ish years, except at get-togethers where I help set up or cook. But I'm not sure I miss it; it IS very convenient though. Wheel it out, start it up, cook and post-heat, and roll it back away. I'd have to keep the Weber though, to smoke things occasionally, since I'd dedicate that to smoking and keep the gas grill nicer and not coated with smoke residue.
I had a big old smoking grill and when the fire box rusted out I put a plate on it for a couple years and then got a weber. I can grill or smoke on it (snake method) and it uses a lot less fuel, the old smoker was pretty loose on the sealing. It takes up a lot less space too. I did a pork shoulder yesterday and had a couple hours left on the charcoal if it was needed. It's in the crockpot now with my special sauce.

Hi Atty, hope you are well. :D

For raspberry and strawberry flavors...

Inawera (INW) Raspberry flavors are good. Raspberry Malina, Raspberry WG and Shisha Raspberry each has their fans here.

Flavour Art (FA) Strawberry (Red Touch) and Juicy Strawberry are good. A couple drops of each in your flavorless juice would give you a very realistic tasting strawberry. FA Raspberry is also really good.

I don't vape mint flavors so can't help you there.

FWIW, Rossum vapes flavorless but also adds a drop or two of a flavor in to his RDA's here and there for something different.

I didn't like the Zenith Pro but I'm afraid I can't tell you why cause I don't remember and I piffed it long ago. I do like the new Zenith II.
Only Zenith I have are a couple D22's and ooooodles of coils. Those are my emergency tanks in case I am not able to build at some point in the future. The D22's are pretty darn good.

    Somewhere between here and there
I got 12 bottles cleaned and drying for reuse. I try so many different recipes that I end up dumping a little of each before I use them. I also put away a few mods I haven’t been using.

I need to go out and pull some weeds I saw yesterday and spray some. I was wore out by the time I finished mowing and putting down chemicals yesterday.

I didn't care for the Zenith pro but outside of that one I think all Zeniths and Zlides are great.

I have bottles to clean but they're plastic that I don't use much. I got them out for the new fA flavors. Now I'm in no hurry to clean them but I have to. UGH
