I have to ask I had covid about 3 weeks ago lost my sense of smell and taste virtually completely on the 6th day to the point that I thought that I was brushing my teeth with face cream or something because I couldn't taste my toothpaste. And that's gotten a little bit better like I can taste salt vinegar and sweet and I think if you were to puree chicken and apples I would be able to point to which one was meat and which one was apples now which I don't think I could have two weeks ago. How long did it take you to get your sense of taste and smell back or start to anyway in like a meaningful way? And did you try to do anything to get it to return like I hear some people are smelling really strongly scented things and it helps. I am absolutely still shattered from covid.

I wonder if concentrated flavoring smelling would help LOL. Maybe vaping can save my taste and smell

A 16 year old relative had a very mild case of covid and recovered in a few days. 3 months later she completely lost her taste and smell. It started coming back after a month and she said she was all good after 3 months. The doc told her there was nothing they could do and she just had to wait.

From what I've heard it can be anything from a few weeks to many months. Far as I know they haven't figured out what causes it or how they can help recovery. Could vape some peppermint. One of the tricks people recommend for vapers tongue is sniffing strong coffee grounds. Maybe that would help.

I just went and got the antibiotics, and wound up very unhappy. There were three cars in front of me, and I don't know how long the car at the window had already been there but we all sat 25 minutes for them to get their bag and leave. I was getting really upset that they let this car block everything for so long. There was a lot of cars in line by the time they finally left. Am I wrong? IDK but I was upset.

Yikes! Covid still sucks. I'm exposed weekly to it. The place I work at has a covid unit again. The people seems like they have a bad cold with this variation of the disease. However, I don't want to get it again. I'm regaining the smell/taste and that would set me back...again. It seems like the covid vaccination did the same.
Hope all is well for you all. I'm going to take a covid test tonight. Feeling like crap so like to rule it out. At work I get tested once weekly.
I've been using this recipe for pickles.

Oh, you favor a version with vinegar! I always take the lacto-fermented route.

I'm surprised. I didn't crash. I did however get upset with the body shop guy that still doesn't have my daughter's car finished yet. It's starting to feel like one excuse after the next. If it's not ready by Thursday then I will call State Farm and they can call him. They are supposedly a preferred repair center. It's not really seeming like it to me.

I hope it's nothing too serious.
Hope the car is done really soon.

If their order wasn’t ready then the pharmacy should have asked them to park and come inside.

I’m really hoping you don’t test positive again.

I had covid back in Dec 2020. I lost my sense of smell and taste. The first covid vaccination I had it come back somewhat then it disappeared. This has been on/off for the last two years. After my last vaccination it came back again. I'm hoping it stays that way.

I did smell therapy hoping it would help. It doesn't hurt to try.

Hope you get your taste/smell back soon.

I do too. I called Friday and the last part was supposed to be there that morning but was lost. I asked the guy to let me know what happened with the part and he said to plan on Tuesday. He never called to let me know they still didn’t get the part. Supposedly it had to be reshipped and is supposed to be there tomorrow. However, this time he tells me it has to go out for an alignment after that and it’ll probably be Thursday before it’s ready. If it’s not ready Thursday then I’m calling my insurance company and they can call him. He never calls us to let us know what’s going on even after I asked him to. It’s been 5 weeks he’s had it. It’s time to get it back to us. Originally his estimate was three weeks.
