Hi folks! My surgery went well but it took longer than anticipated, 5.5 hours instead of 4. I'm staying in the hospital. I've got an IV, oxygen, calf compression units, a foley catheter, and a drain from each boob. Even before all of this, my mom talked the doctor into keeping me, but I'm sure he would have decided that after the surgery. I haven't had a vape since this morning and am in no condition to get up and get it. I'm glad I've already done with the nicotine withdrawal bit. I got fentanyl. In Recovery for pain. I have Percocet for pain now, but haven't needed any. I'm trying out some jello and later they're gonna take me for a walk. I'll post an update again in the morning. Thanks for all your well wishes.
Good for you that it went well! I had fentanyl the last liver biopsy I did, it helped me relax for the procedure. You'll be home soon!

Last week I got a X-Ray of my right hip which is killing me. My new doc said it was probably bursitis, but I called and now he says it is arthritis. What a shock as I have it everywhere (Osteo). Now he wants a MRI and that's fine but this thing really hurts, especially when I go to bed as I have to roll on it. Just about makes me yell! He gave me a tube of Voltaren which doesn't work at all but the wife gave me some much more powerful stuff to try and we'll see if it works.

About to take the wife to a ER for the flu.

I'm sorry to hear about your hip. Have you tried chondroitin and glucosamine? They often come in a combined pill and it takes about two weeks to take affect. Some doctors can inject lidocaine and steroids into the joint for a temporary relief. The ultimate therapy is a hip replacement.

    BTW How is your wife?

I'm posting at 430am, having been awake for 2.5 hours. They wouldn't give me a sleeping pill because it was after 2am. My pain is under control as long as I don't move around too much. I did take a walk last evening and made it all of 5 ft out the door. I've been dizzy and my blood pressure has been low, despite my not taken my BP med. I guess it is the anesthesia still in my system. I haven't had a vape since yesterday morning and im missing it. My ecigs are in a bag across the room and I can't use the bathroom for a stealh vape, as I still have the foley in place.

Glad you're doing well, relatively speaking, you'll make it through!

Good morning random folks :) Have you any plans today?
    Good morning :)
Science projects, cleaning/organizing basement, and actually finally winterizing a friend's house. I put it off because I wanted to take advantage of the warm weather last 2 days or so to get some painting done. I'm not too sad, but kinda am, I didn't finish the painting. It requires very high ladder work and that is not my favorite thing ever. I also need to blow out my irrigation system which will take no time at all. It's going to drop below freezing tonight.

Is there anyone you can get to paint the high parts?

Good morning. Plan is to take it easy since I’m caught up on reviews. I need to clean a few tanks and pack up some review samples.
Good luck. At least you get to do some other stuff this weekend.

Many are booked up, and often don't even call you back. I dont understand it, i mean if you cant do it or dont want to just be up front. We were going to have a concrete patio put in, but then the guy just ghosted us. We live in a rural area where there's only so many options, some of those options are very poor (we may have to sue our HVAC guy). More often than not, it's better to do things yourself.. at least in our experience and circumstances.

We’re not all that rural right here but everyone has a big yard. Problems with contractors also. Dd had a guy out to do an addition and he never got back to her. Now she had another guy look at it and still waiting on him. Was only last week so gotta give him time.

    Morning, mixers.

Still cold and dry, although high clouds yesterday did produce a few drips, and helped keep the temp in the mid 40s...

Really hate using phone to type.

Doesn’t your phone have voice recognition? Just hit the microphone button and talk into it.

Hand writing recognition, and a good stylus :)

Likely, it can take a long time to flush all that out. Some years back my MIL had heart surgery, and she was probably 35 hours before getting back to "normal". Good that you're getting ready to be sprung!

I'm already getting better. I'm not dizzy when I get out of bed and my blood pressure is low normal. Still no BP meds. Since I've had most of the lines and tubes disconnected, I'm moving better. But it still hurts when I move.
