I keep my notes on Evernote Best Note Taking App | Organize Your Notes with Evernote . It's free to install on 2 devices e.g. PC and phone and has heaps of features. You can have multiple notebooks with unlimited notes in each, and all backed up to the cloud so they are never lost and synced between devices.

You can search across all notes, clip pictures, web pages, pdfs, even audio. You can share notes, make lists with checkboxes, and more!

I put a first order in at diyvapor supply. And I found Bickfords flavors there. @FranC do you remember this flavor maker? Some early mixers swore by them, but they never did quite take off with most of the mixers. Not sure why. Anyway, they have a cream cheese flavor which is on its way to me and I am also trying their vanilla and chocolate flavors.
    @hittman
they also have the INW shortbread, which I ordered some of that also.

Their prices are higher on some of those items, but if you can't get them at BCF then...oh well...

1 thing I really did not like is they did not offer any choice in shipping. It was priority only for my order period. At least BCF gives you a choice of first class or priority......

We shall see how it works out......they already have my order ready to put in tomorrows mail.

    :)
I remember Bickfords but I never bought any. Don't remember why. Interested in your thoughts on the cream cheese. On the shortbread also even though I'm thinking at the moment that INW is over-hyped.

But if you flavorers have ideas, tell me!!
A tried&true stand-by, to remove the cigarette stink (when I still smoked) from my winter jackets between dry cleaning, was Fabreeze. Not too perfumey; and could knock the stink out of most things.;)
I wonder if Cereal 27 will give my Dinner Lady Lemon Tart the crunchy crust aspect it is missing?
My only concern with CAP Cereal 27; is that it is (most often) described as a "corn flake" type of cereal. That may, or may not, fit in with the Dinner Lady.

Personally, I would first try the Dazcole version (if that is not the one you are already making). I'm with PJ, in that I find it perfect just as is.

Then, if I was still wanting more crust; I would first boost the crust component of the recipe (TFA Graham Cracker Clear, INW Biscuit, and CAP Golden Butter; per Dazcole's notes). I would try to maintain the ratio of these three, so as not to alter the overall crust profile. Making a "stone" out of the three, is an easy way to maintain the ratio; and allow you to increase/decrease as desired.

If you are just looking for a bit drier/crunchier crust; I would consider upping just the INW Biscuit a tad... it has a natural dryness to it.
Just a drop or two, of Acetyl Pyrazine, can add that note of toasty, browned, crust to some recipes as well.

Still not the crust you are looking for? At this point, I would also consider the Cereal 27.

Just remember to make small batches, until you find what is going to work best for your particular palate.:)

As I understand it (and I could be way off base:facepalm:), Bickford was/is a nationally available flavoring manufacturer... akin to McCormick's. Their popularity was due mostly(?) to being carried by several national chain stores (like Walmart). Like McCormick, they commonly(?) use high percentages of alcohol; as well as preservatives, along with food coloring, and sugars in some of their offerings. As more vape-friendly choices came along; their popularity (to DIYers) diminished.

I have no idea how well (or if) DIYVS screens their products (I couldn't find any ingredient data on either DIYVS, or Bickford's websites). I would just give a minute to checking the bottle's label before first use. :)

I believe you just jogged my memory. I knew there was a reason I didn't buy any. There was a lot of chatter about lor-anns "oils" too. I did buy a handful of those but never used them. Couldn't get by the oil...........

I came across a sft of pur peanut butter cookie that’s probably at least three months steeped when I reorganized. I’m not getting a lot of peanut butter from it.

Anyone know how long it takes to get an order from Inawera?

    It's a crap-shoot. I've had anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks.

Happy to say I got something done this early am. Got a bottle of ceecee's Honey Cashew Milk mixed. Went with a 15ml.

It needs about a 2 to 3 week steep. I vaped so much of that mix I burned out on it. Might be time for me to re-visit it.

Ty.:) Don't remember if you used sweetener in it but I didn't.

I always add sweetener. Even if it's just a couple of drops I find most flavors flat without it. When I post a recipe I won't always mention the sweetener - I feel that's up to the individual mixer to decide if they want it or not.

I mix 99% of my flavors in glass dropper bottles. Most of the bottles came from vendor juice. Hubs still vapes a couple of those so my supply of 30ml bottles is still ongoing. I wish I had more of the 15ml size though. I know I can mix 15ml in a 30ml bottle....it's just a pain.

I plan on mixing the Pecan Shortbread also.

I'm vaping some Pecan Shortbread now and I starting to feel like this recipe needs a little something else to make it better. Not sure what exactly that extra thing is though. Maybe a touch of INW Biscuit or maybe more vanilla or cream.

I'll be using the WF Shortbread and I need to sub for the INW Vanilla Cream. Maybe I'll add a touch of biscuit.

I went to Bickford's site and found they do distinguish between flavors that are water soluble(carrier is either vg or pg) and oil based. Apparently you can choose between them. Either they made modifications to their existing flavors or were never given a fair chance and was left behind by the DIY people. But back then it was the blind leading the blind, so who knows. I checked on the flavors I purchased and all are reported to be water soluble.

    So we shall see.

    :)
