Well, the weekend got away from me again, so got nothing done, mixed, or tested. I didn't even get laundry done and that's highly unusual for me. A close friend had their 50th party on Saturday (I got tasked at the last minute to get the cake by her husband - LOL!) and my son slept over, so that screwed up Sunday for me going out there to pick him up.
I did get to make my first ever home-made yogurt (it's still fermenting), so hoping that comes out well. I've recently learned that I can't eat yogurt that still has a lot of lactose (most yogurts are only fermented for 8-10 hours) or a certain active culture, so I have to make my own and ferment it for a minimum of 24 hours (so that the active cultures eat up all of the lactose). A non-dairy (preferably almond/coconut milk) yogurt is what I should have, but I can't find any without a ton of added sugars or other bad stuff I can't have, so I now have yet another appliance that my husband says that I don't need... He's just lucky I didn't
buy the appliance that I really want... The Ninja Foodi, it's huge and at almost $300, because it does practically everything, yet I settled on a $25 yogurt maker!

Now, if I can only find dry curd cottage cheese... I have never seen it, heard about it, or found it under its other name, Farmer's Cheese.
My company gave us an extra vacation day on Friday, so with the 1/2 day on Wednesday, I'm hoping that I can get caught up quickly and fit some fun in, too.
