Can’t say as I blame you. That would make me nervousI have a big ole white oak I have to take down next week. It died over the summer. It’s 25 feet from my bedroom window. Too close for comfort for me.
On the other hand I don’t need to worry about running out of anythingI fall short of that but I know I have way too much for just me.
At some point, it might be worth it to hire it done.I have a big ole white oak I have to take down next week. It died over the summer. It’s 25 feet from my bedroom window. Too close for comfort for me.
Don’t we all put that off?At some point, it might be worth it to hire it done.
Yep. Dead trees fall far more than healthy ones. Can’t say as I blame you. That would make me nervous
Not when it comes to taking down trees. My uncle, who was experienced had a tree fall on him and it killed him. Only tree I ever cut down was a small maple. I remember my mother learning to drive. She ran into a small tree, made her so mad that she cut it down.Don’t we all put that off?
One of those did all the damage to my daughters house. It was a huge tree and looked healthy but in was all rot in the middleYep. Dead trees fall far more than healthy ones.
My SIL was a logger also.Paralyzed from the waist down by a falling oak.He tried to dive under his skidder but he tripped. Not when it comes to taking down trees. Logging is dangerous work. I see these neighborhood warriors cutting up trees and they scare the hell out of me. That they don’t severely injure or kill themselves is by the grace of God. It certainly isn’t because of their skills (or lack thereof). One of those did all the damage to my daughters house. It was a huge tree and looked healthy but in was all rot in the middle
I’m glad to hear you’re aware of the dangers. Keeps you safer.Logging is dangerous work. I see these neighborhood warriors cutting up trees and they scare the hell out of me. I’ve been cutting trees since I was a teenager. One here one there, sometimes a whole mess of them at one time. Certainly enough to respect the danger and to be extra cautious when operating the chainsaw. There are right ways and wrong ways to use a saw and anyone who uses one should study the differences. My father taught me how to use a saw.
Sawing is the most dangerous work there is as far as owning a home goes. You have to understand the physics of it. How both the saw and the tree will act in a wide variety of cuts. Also, maintenance of the saw is critical to safety. Most people who own chainsaws shouldn’t.I’m glad to hear you’re aware of the dangers. Keeps you safer.
That last statement is so true.Sawing is the most dangerous work there is as far as owning a home goes. You have to understand the physics of it. Hadn’t heard of that oneI am looking forward to trying the Geekvape Aegis Boost pod mod in a couple weeks.
You are very luckyIn 2013, I had to cut a tree that had rotted and was splitting 8' above the ground. It was at my sisters place in town, and I couldn't fell it because of the surrounding structures, but it had to come down. One half of the tree was leaning over the house, and a storm was causing half of it to split towards the house. When I got there, I used a heavy rachet strap and strapped the halves together the best I could. Had to climb up to the top and cut it all the way down in 30 degrees with the wind blowing. I'm no logger, so that was rough, but it was fun. Until afterwards that is. Pneumonia sucks, lol.
