Many here are in what I call the hobby stage of DIY. Experienced, know what they like and what they don’t like, know what many of the concentrates taste like, know how they impact the blends, have 2,000 flavors in their stash, know what WS-27 is, etc. I’m nowhere near that. Maybe some day I will though it is not a dream of mine at this time. For now, I simply want to make something that isn’t crap. I said from the get go that I was unlike most everyone here. I’m far more finicky when it comes to flavors. You guys have a far greater tolerance than I and it really makes me envious. Strange how there are so very few foods I wont eat but how so very few vapes I enjoy.

You aren't that different from many of us. I suppose this has become a hobby for me in some ways but I have found that I am very, very picky about what I like. I started off small, sticking to what I knew would work for me. Slowly, I branched out but haven't taken to a lot of different flavors in my vapes. While I can appreciate that something different is nice, it is usually something I don't enjoy for long. I stick with the flavor profiles that appeal to me and try many different ways of putting those profiles together to get the most from them. Right now, I am experimenting with different peppermint and creme de menthe combinations - some basic, others with more to them - even one with white chocolate! That is stepping out for me. Believe it or not, there must be a million combos where I can use peppermint and/or creme de menthe. I mixed three today that are similar but different enough that I will hopefully know what works for me. I did order a few flavors to combine with those profiles and will mix up a few more combos when those flavors get here. Still, they are all peppermint in some form. That is the beauty of DIY - it can be personalized to a fine level and running with an inspiration is so much fun!

Brr. I wore shorts yesterday. We have had no winter weather to speak of. It’ll hit 70 next week. That’s the way I like it. I love summer and hot weather.

Good thing about this Alabama weather we are having is I can open my windows with no heat or A/C needed.

I was lazy yesterday and have a busy two weeks at work coming up preparing for my 12 day vacation. So today I need to kick it in high gear and get my chores done and more Christmas shopping.

Good morning. I am finished with Christmas shopping, got most of my vape Mail and don't need to mix any more right now. I also did my holiday baking, now I need to clean the house which I am not keen on doing.

I’m ok with the cold but hate having to fight downtown traffic when we get snow or freezing rain. I’ve had a 13 mile drive turn into two hours before. Knock on wood, we haven’t had much bad weather yet.

I have a colonoscopy scheduled for tomorrow. Today is prep day, needless to say how my day will be. In 2003 with my first colonoscopy, cancer was discovered, surgery to remove 12" of my colon, per my surgeon early detection saved my life. Just a thought for the day.

I had one 4 years ago. Best advice I got for prep was to never trust a fart. Good luck and fingers crossed for you!

I haven’t had one yet but should next year at 50.

I decided to try the Nicaraguan viso from stixx today. I mixed it at 10% which I think was a little high. It’s got a little over two weeks steep so far. It’s got a bit of a bite to it. I taste a little cocoa and something else that comes across as a little sour.

You most likely will feel the cold a lot more as you get older.

I must say, detecting colon cancer would make me considerably less resentful about colonoscopy preps, I had one when I was younger cuz my mom has Chron's. It sucked.

Also, when the Great Episode of Intractable Constipation hit out of nowhere, like, I was on a week long trip and returned looking 8 months pregnant (no lie) )(and thank you Suboxone with your endless half life meaning no peaks of valleys of opiate usage where you can poop) well my freaking Gastro my doc hastily sent me to was a damn SADIST. He was like, "Some of my patients have to do them, many times a day." So there was like 4 days of THAT, just sitting there, doing them, I had a "99" refills written on the prescription and the day I did SIX with no joy AND including some other unpleasant stuff including enemas which in my opinion should be wiped from the face of the earth, well I was about ready to beg for a naloxone shot, which like, would have put me in total withdrawal and I would have been writhing and in pain and well, pretty UN constipated probably, l discovered there was this shot that did that to your BODY, but did not cross the blood brain barrier. I was seeing gastro guy that day but I was so bitter and incoherent it was not going well.

Thank Good for Mr. A he talked the gastro down and had him run it by the hospital pharmacist (they are the best for weird drugs) who was like, "No, you should totally do this actually,."

My insurance did not pay for it and it was like 200 dollars a shot and I got five. I still have one, LOL. Some of the best medical money I ever spent. So glad to be off that stuff.

I meant to write something DIY related which is *I* personally think THE most exciting time of DIY is in the beginning when you like, are trying new things, everything is new and different, you are discovering new mixes all the time and you are willing to make single flavor testers of something like "fig." I probably would be before I used it in a mix, but a lot o f my new flavors not always.

Although you dedicated single flavor testers provide me a ton of info and I am GRATEFUL fo rit.
