This would be a huge win. Basically, e-nic would not be a tobacco product and not subject to regulation under tobacco laws, at least in Ohio. On a national level, this would be a game changer. Big tobacco hires consultants who have a clue. E-cigarettes and e-nic are the future of their business in the US, not tobacco.

So this is nothing... It's like New Jersey, but for one small town. It just gives businesses that forbid smoking, the authority to do the same with e-cigs which, from what Kena's already stated, they're mostly not in favor of doing.

I don't have a link, but if you watch the replay of the VP Live Vape team broadcast for tonight, one of the callers was telling how he was the only person at the meeting to speak for vaping, and now it's banned in his town. I even forgot the name of the town so did not say which one it is...
I think that the very helpful guy that posts the daily action threads is supposed to get some further information though.

I have to leave the ENTIRE STADIUM in order to vape when watching a Padres game.
Seriously. Leave the entire stadium. Screw that, twice.

There are many hospitals and colleges where smoking is not allowed anywhere on campus.
Including the freaking parking lots!

Some of these places have already included vaping in their smoking bans.
The rest will probably follow one by one.

Sadly, there are some vapers that seem to have no problem with this.

I have not confirmed the claims from the political ideologues, but if indeed it is mostly Democrats proposing this legislation, it's an interesting role reversal, since usually it's Republicans taking moralistic stands and Democrats supporting science-based policy and compassionate laws/harm reduction.

What this indicates is that vaping truly is not an ideological thing -- it is almost completely harmless so it ought to be acceptable across the political spectrum. There are powerful lobbying forces causing the current issues we see.

It definitely irks me hearing about E-cigs being completely banned. But what also irks me are the vapers who seem to feel humiliated about being sent to the smokers spot to vape,
when the main group of people that we need to do this "educating" of ecigs on, ARE the smokers. Instead many vapors seems to have this incessant need of wanting to educate non smokers all the time when they can give two sh**s about bans on ecigs.

I think people are forgetting the most powerful reason ecigs exist. To get smokers to stop smoking. Not this righteous need to be able to vape in every public spot possible...

You will have a easier time getting ecigs known to the world by gaining a large following. Vaping in smoking areas will pique more positive interests then vaping inside a grocery store. I'm sure of it.

With the recent recall Colorado just had we now have a little leverage! The people of that state fired politicians for voting for tougher gun laws.

Obviously these politicians were as usual pushing their own agenda and not doing what their constituents wanted so they got fired.

Good for Colorado. This has happened in a few more states over the last few years and each time it happens politicians will start paying attention to those phone calls and emails.

i said this yesterday the more people who get involved in the fight for our rights the more power we will have. there is power in numbers we all need to get off our butts and start speaking up, there are a lot of us here and on our internet groups we need to all start doing something this stuff needs to go viral across the internet then it will start making the head line news,if we all started posting the un-influenced truths about e-cigs the people will stop believing the trash that BT ,BP and the antz are putting out to the media, the antz have power because they band together and have been fighting cigarettes for years, there is a lot of truthful information available we just need to make it known so start posting real truths everywhere leave flyers with the truths with links to back up studies in public places get the word out then we will get more power but it take numbers to do it. and if your not a member of CASAA then what are you waiting for get over there and join them they are a nonprofit organization fighting for our rights at every door step they see trying to take our rights away, and if your congress man or woman votes to ban e-cigs the vote them out they are put in place by us they can be removed in the same way but it takes numbers and public education

Fact is - Council members tend to follow the Alpha members recommendations
Fact is - They are elected and re-elected by people that have no idea of what they are doing to wreck the lives of people in the community.

Seems some Changes are in order.

Instead of people preparing to go and speak for our rights at a council meeting minutes before a ruling is to be voted on they need to do some serious Promotional work.

Noise needs to be made the minute an agenda is revealed, Not after the final draft is completed.
Local media/Business/Neighbors All need to hear your side and understand your Views. The more attention a subject gains the more likely a favorable outcome can be achieved.
