So, here is my question.
Is vaping no Nic - Same as smoking?
I see many people are using -0- nic e-liquids to curb eating disorders and aid in Diet. No consideration?
I vape in our smoking area and will finish my 30th convert this afternoon. There are times when the smokers out there feel like they are a minority these days!It definitely irks me hearing about E-cigs being completely banned. But what also irks me are the vapers who seem to feel humiliated about being sent to the smokers spot to vape,
when the main group of people that we need to do this "educating" of ecigs on, ARE the smokers. Instead many vapors seems to have this incessant need of wanting to educate non smokers all the time when they can give two sh**s about bans on ecigs.
I think people are forgetting the most powerful reason ecigs exist. To get smokers to stop smoking. Not this righteous need to be able to vape in every public spot possible...
You will have a easier time getting ecigs known to the world by gaining a large following. Vaping in smoking areas will pique more positive interests then vaping inside a grocery store. I'm sure of it.

And ban O'dules because it LOOKS and "tastes" like a beer.We should remove drink holders from cars, because it looks like people using them for cola are drinking and driving.
.I never used my twitter until these.I do the calls to action and I even JUST recently got a (ugh!) twitter account and am now doing those.
I know that there isn't much time before World & National Vaping Day. The idea only came about a week ago. I have email addresses in place and a sample of a short statement to send out. I hope everyone joins in this grass roots effort to inform the MEDIA that vaping works! http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...orld-national-vaping-day-what-your-plans.html
I hope to see most of you at least checking the thread out.
Just trying to be proactive in a positive way.
I agree to disagree. This was a rant about the lazy people that just sit and complain or the stockers who don't care about anyone health, just their own comfort. Two recent examples out of MANY were used as illustration, not as a scare tactic. Since you want to keep disrupting the thread, this will be the last post of your's that I will respond to.? Which claim? I made two of them as an illustration as to how people just sit on THIER buts and complain their rights are taken away without doing anything at all about it. Are you one of them?
yes you went right over the multiple posts conveniently
your claim that this ban is anything more then banning Ecigg where reg ciggs are currently banned
your claim that people are not allowed to use ecigg on there own porch and front yard
I keep seeing these posts with no proof
it is nothing but scare tactics
people do... Just not enough of us.I usually walk away from these Rants. Understandably people get upset, but Assuming is just plain rude at the minimum.
What makes you think people do not do anything anyway? Because regulations are passed? Did you even read the articles posted about the Duluth e-cig use?
....
I totally agree.Instead of people preparing to go and speak for our rights at a council meeting minutes before a ruling is to be voted on they need to do some serious Promotional work.
Noise needs to be made the minute an agenda is revealed, Not after the final draft is completed.
Local media/Business/Neighbors All need to hear your side and understand your Views. The more attention a subject gains the more likely a favorable outcome can be achieved.
Off my soap box now. Getting hot![]()
I do apologize for Duluth(I am from MN), saw the article and nothing could be done from my end as you had to be a resident of Duluth to have any say in the meeting.
I was heated to say the least but to be honest, there was nothing I could do.
Down in the cities and surrounding suburbs, the general public, police, local businesses, and even management of a lot of companies that I know of are in complete support of vaping in general.
I know it's not much, but it's a start. Soon these cities that have banned them, once the proper studies and blah blah blah come out, they will retract previous statements and laws governing vaping. It only makes sense. And if they don't, they'll have a lot of angry residents on their hands when it does become more mainstream in these places.
That's a good question, but how would you be able to prove that there's no nic? Well, I guess carrying the juice bottle with you maybe. I can see establishments currently not wanting to deal with complaints from people who think you're smoking. Maybe that's a good reason to vape with a mod so it doesn't look anything like a cigarette?

“E

provides a vapor of nicotine or any other substances, and the use or
inhalation of
which simulates smoking. The term shall include any such
device, whether manufacture
d, distributed, marketed, or sold as an e
-
cigarette, e
-
cigar, e
-
pipe, or under any other product name or descriptor
does anyone have a link to the actual written law????
I can't find anything on it,,,,,,
I think it's a DAMN SHAME that we PUT UP WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't find you exact verbage either, but what is clear is that e-cigarettes are to be treated as a tobacco product. You cannot use them anywhere you cannot smoke a cigarette in Duluth, which is inside of any building that is not private property like your home, or in city parks or along the scenic waterfront areas. There is also some sort of stipulation that will prevent retailers from allowing people to test/sample e-liquid they have not yet purchased, but that seems pretty redundent to me since you already can't use e-cigarettes indoors.
If anyone knows exactly the wording, or can explain it better than I have, please chime in - I don't want to be giving out incorrect information. This is just my understanding of the ordinance.
From vaper to vapour ?

I try and do my bit , writing to local papers etc .
After that it may as well be in the hands of the gods (UK) .
I like to write my congressman regularly, news channels, journalists, etc. On the rare occasion I actually get a response it's apparent that, unless a gain in money or power are involved, they don't care.
I think at this point there is too much taboo that's latched on to cigs. I think as long as the vaping reminds people of cigarettes its going to carry the same negative connotations.
Personally I think nicotine and caffeine are rather similar alkaloids. I think the smoke itself was the problem. The problem is convincing everyone else that it isn't that bad. I'll be honest I'm a little more worried about the long term effects of PG and VG on my lungs than the nicotine.
IMO, we messed up by letting them regulate nicotine as a tobacco product. Its not only in tobacco and actually found in many other plants as well.
