For some reason I can't stand the smell of nutty rayon! I'll keep at it but the nuttiness was lasting too long for my liking.

I wanna taste my juice not a pack of freshly roasted nuts. My neighbours thought I started a new business and came knocking on my door for nuts! Lol

Yep rewick lighter.. Soon you'll be able to tell if the flavor is too strong you'll know it's way too tight.. If it's subtle and clears in about 10-15 vapes it's tight enough to perform for a long time.

Since you're weary of the nutty rayon blow the first 10 vapes out the atty instead of vaping them. It should be pretty good at that time if not your too tight still.

So I gave Rayon a first shot in my Kennedy from Infinite Wicks (Cellucotton) and I noticed some discoloration in the tails. I don't mind playing the trial and error game in a dripper, but does anyone have images of how to properly wick a Griffin rta with rayon? I have one on the way, and want to see about how to line the tails and trim them right?
I'm new to this, so I wasn't too confident in showing you my pics, but it seems to be working. Taste great, no flooding. So here are some pics, in case there are none available.

Ok, so looked at the wicking on my billow v3, the tips of the bow were black but everything else looked great. Took the black parts off and flavor has resumed. I am on day 4

Been vaping unflavored the past couple of days. Makes me realize just how tasteless rayon is. After a brief breakin which I just simply blew through...it is imparting zero flavor. I taste VG and a tiny bit of nic. Used to only vape unflavored and it didn't taste like this. That "other" taste could only have been cotton.

One more quick post - if any prospective Rayon users or any newbies are reading this, here's a tip...Rayon is like music...and as either Beethoven or Mozart (I forget which) once said, the best musician is the one who learns the theory but then forgets it...

I'm no rayon expert, but I read through this thread, paying very close attention...it got me where I needed to be. But my wicks are better now than they were, but I'm wicking 5x as fast as when I started, and getting consistently better wicks. What's happened isn't that I forgot the tips and tricks but that I've quit overthinking it. The Rayon and I hath become one. Jump right in newbies...soon you too shall be one with Rayon. Read, but don't overthink - fill the coil and vape.

ETA my firm opinion is Rayon is easier to use than cotton, but it does take a little getting used to.

Thanks for the encouraging slothoughts..

Yeah, when I was getting ready to start this thread, I almost just opened it with shove it in there tight and cut half the tail thickness post if you have trouble... Lol

Once you get the main concepts of how it's different than cotton and how it works, just apply the principals and go. Tweak along the way, Rayon is very resilient.

I was lucky for the fact that I hadn't been building and wicking my own coils for very long before I found rayon. I didn't have a lot to unlearn about cotton wicking so it was much easier to obtain success with rayon. I simply followed the suggestions as presented without overthinking or questioning it and I could tell the difference right away. Rayon is so much better than cotton when it comes to wicking, you really need to throw caution to the wind and just try it.

Slothoughts? I think Jeremy just made up a great word for you, Sloth. :headbang:

Yep! An improper rayon wick will still outlive the best cotton wick I ever used (and btw, I was good with cotton) :)

Remember to turn the juice control off when filling. I love mine man. The flavored is amazing build deck is so much bigger than the v2.

Large decks are a must have! Easier to work with and less gunking because there's more air space for air movement all around the coil and more room for the coil to cool down faster after the vape.

One more quick post - if any prospective Rayon users or any newbies are reading this, here's a tip...

Howdy, prospective Rayon user here, just gotta make it over to Sally's.

I think the first and biggest tip would've been to send us all over to read the first postings. I never imagined that one would have copied/created all the great FAQs in a Part 2 thread, but thought I'd check before making an .... of myself. There it all is, and it's better than most other FAQs.

Thanks ever so much, and hopefully I'll have some luck with Rayon.

Suggestion/Thought. - Do you think maybe another thread sorta just called Rayon Tips/FAQs that's updated only by the experts, and use this thread as a working thread? Or, one of you experts wanna update your signature to point all us newbies to the beginning of this thread?

Cheers and thanks so much for all your efforts.

I'm a newbie myself...been using rayon for maybe a month or so now. My message is just that of an elated newbie who's "clicked" with Rayon, and I think you're going to love it :)
