Long time no see. Still using Rayon 100% of the time. That Native Wicks stuff is definitely cotton. I didn't even like it when I used cotton, but that's me for ya. KGD all the way - til Rayon. Now the KGD is lonely, I hear its cried from the dresser at night...
haha, my cotton is so lonely I will ship it free of charge in the conus to anyone foolish enough to use it. I go 2 - 3 weeks (100 - 200ml) between wick changes with rayon (instead of 20 - 30ml with cotton) and could likely go longer but get worried about my rta coils needing a clean burn. I only change the rda wicks when I can see the coils are heavily gunked up which doesn't happen very fast since switching to diy and replacing sucralose with lower percentages of pyure.

Yeah. I get quite far with mine also. I probably tend to rewick more than most rayon users, but I get bored easy :D

I just think it tastes a heck of a lot better than cotton, and I'm thoroughly convinced it's safer. Then theres the mileage. Then there's the ridiculously cheap aspect of it financially. It's just a no brainer. I'm not sure how companies stay in business when they sell cotton for ludicrous prices (Native Wicks for example).

BTW, Fozzy is the greatest!

That's stevia, right?
yes but not all 'stevia' are created equal. i have multiple bottles of kroger brand stevia blend liquid from my coffee drinking days that I will not vape. You should go with pyure or organic powder dissolved into pg/vg.

edit to add: not sure if there are threads here yet but there are on the other forums I can not mention you should be able to find with a quick google

Yet another rayoned atty. Just loving the Hadaly BF RDA. The 28ss/38k fused clappy produces great flavor at 42w with rayon.

Thanks. I don't want any preservatives, and things I can't pronounce in my vape, so yeah, I get that I don't want to use just anything. I don't use a lot of sweetener in any case, but I'd think I'll give this a shot.

@cigatron that's a gorgeous build.

Organic Liquid Stevia Drops

Ingredients: Water, Organic Stevia Leaf Extract (Reb A), Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Citric Acid

I've been using:

"Erythritol is one of our three natural eLiquid sweetener alternatives for those looking to stray away from synthetics. Synthetic structures like sucralose have mass losses at lower temperatures (320F!!!), resulting in premature caramelization of coils and wicks, severely reducing atomizer performance. Erythritol is EXTREMELY heat stable and similar in glycerol in heat performance, withstanding temperatures up to 625F without degradation or major mass loss. This is a performance sweetener if there is one.

“Erythritol is a 4 carbon saturated sugar alcohol, very similar to VG, which is a 3 carbon sugar alcohol. However, Erythritol is significantly sweeter in solution, comparable to 1/4 – 1/2 the sweetness of sucralose in vaping solutions.

Erythritol is sold as a 5% in VG solution , and recommended for use as a sweetener in a recommended working range from 1-5% Erythritol solubility is compromised in PG, thus our exclusion of this formula and deeper focus on the VG solution. "

Erythritol Solution (5%) - Nude Nicotine

I'm considering that atty...nice eh?
It's pretty darn good. Would possibly be better flavor if the top cap was domed inside. Super easy to build and wick. The bf pos pin is at a good height but it can be over-squonked (flooding). 1mm lower would have been perfect imo.
For an authentic the price is right.

Yeah, if the BF pin sat at deck height it'd be a no brainer IMO, but I'm struggling because it sits a little higher than that. I still may get one. The upside of vape gear is it's easy to sell in the classies if it doesn't work out.

@TrollDragon just noticed you live in NS. I went there for the first time a couple weeks ago. We explored Cape Breton mostly. Also got stranded in Antigonish for 3 days when my transmission blew up

Big fan. Lovely area my friend.
Sorry to hear about your transmission, hopefully it wasn't too boring in Antigonish. Cape Breton is a beautiful place, I take it you made a trip around the Cabot Trail? That journey will sure give your vehicle's brakes and drivetrain a real workout.

I'm Halifax born, Toronto raised and now back in beautiful Nova Scotia. I wish I had known you were local, it would have been an honor to meet the Venerable Sloth!

I am always up for a meet and greet. A member from the Head-Fi forum came this way a few months ago and we arranged to meet up for dinner. He brought some of his high end headphones and a couple of his vacuum tube amplifiers for me to hear. We had an excellent listening session and it is always great to meet other forum members in person.

If you ever make it this way again, do let me know.

I certainly will my friend. It was way too beautiful to not return. Yes we did the cabot trail and spent a few days hiking around. We camped at fishers cove one night. Magical. And antigonish was cool - we ate at the townhouse 3 times. It was phenomenal!

NS is one of the most amazing places i have personally ever been. Beautiful, good food and very friendly people.

So, an update on the Griffin. I used a single coil 26ga kanthal for about a week or less. Couldn't really chain vape but it wicked decently.

Yesterday I took some kanthal that I twisted. Aimed for .25 ohms and hit it dead nuts. Lucky, lol. Put them in the Griffin and used a couple of tips from @whiteowl84 on wicking with rayon. From the first hit the flavor was outstanding. It is wicking too good, lol. I had the juice holes closed to about 50% and running my mod at 55-58 watts. Wicking so good I was getting a little spit back. Closed the holes down to about 15%. Decided to bump the watts up for a little burn off. So, 78 watts, flavor bomb! FLAVOR BOMB!

It's official. You all have converted me into the Rayonati. Many thanks!

Welcome brother tin man!

The increase in power capability is amazing isnt it!

It can take any tank to the next level.

Thank you brother Jeremy. It is amazing. I'm on my 30th ml of juice in the tank and no off taste like with cotton. Normally I would be rewicking between 18 and 24ml.

That in itself is another major plus.
