True. That would suck. Marketing would be the key. Make someone feel that buying X would be better than going to Sally's and buying 500ft of Y. However, there are those that would rather buy something specifically intended for vaping that is not sitting in a beauty supply store in a loosely tied plastic bag...

For what it is worth my box of Sally's when I opened the box the plastic bag was not tied off or sealed in any way it was just folded over. Which by the way it is why I think you hear the occasional post about a funny taste. It sits in Sally's for God know how long absorbing all the chemicals and such common to that type of shop.

Fortunately mine was clean and tasteless.

I've been kicking around kickstarter actually... I want to bring a certified Rayon product to market...

Yes I know FF stole my fire, and beat me to the punch, but thier pads and fiber look like a mess. They disoriented all the fibers into a mass it looks like and made it into a less efficient pad to cater to kgd users.. A disoriented pad doesn't help it Wick.

And also they don't have a fraction of the Rayon knowledge that I have.
(Also thier website has been down for quite a long time, month(s).)
Yeah, the pics of Fiber Freaks reminded me of the gnarly sections in my Sally's box.

It's amazing how much difference a little fancy packaging makes, huh?

Yes, and I would like to have control over the product to ensure quality is reaching everyone's hands.

In the beginning I had a fear of some issues with Sally's due mainly to packaging and storage. Luckily it's been pretty good but some have gotten old boxes or off quality with funny tastes and that doesn't help our cause.. I knew sallys wouldn't match the quality of what I had in the beginning, but it was decent and readily available. Its has served well as a platform to get rayon out to the masses! :)

Few defects in the notion (puts on devil's advocate hat): The Sally's is really pretty good and dirt cheap; somebody outed the Tampon thing; there's a big long thread on ECF on using it with leads to other sources (inc. Sally's). Water's likely under the bridge.

Now, heed the advice of the guy who said not to speak of it, not really supposed to be discussing business ideas out here in the ECF wild, they'll stick a vendor label on you and all manner of posts will suddenly disappear. There was a guy who designed a cheap, 3D printed squonker that went *poof* one day because they found an affiliation with a business.

Testing out Rayon in the KS RTA with a 3 mm 0.8 ohm 26g spaced coil. I left 5% down into the wells, and trimmed the rest off flush in the juice channel. I will see how it all pans out.

I'll clean up the little excess fibers before I put the chamber on.

Nice hope it works well for you.

Did you have to adjust that potential hot leg yet? If you get any burning hits, I would suspect that high leg.

The one on the left looks high... I usually use a flat blade while I have the mandrel in position and push the leg down to contour the final wrap to the Wick better. So the wrap ends on that post side instead of what kinda looks like the opposite side.

Just a thought.
