I understand people making a hobby (or business) of DIY but I like it simple.
Nude Nic flavors all at 6%
MBV/FW all at 10% in my Max VG mix for myself
All MBV/FW flavors at the same concentrations per ratio for OP
I'm dedicated to simple DIY

Right on. I'm totally a hobbyist. Part of what keeps vaping interesting to me and thus off cigs

The fructose in many FW flavorings is a problem tho - so just pointing out, that's why it gunks your coils like that.

I love NN's nic, but their flavorings...

That patchouli vanilla they make...ohhhhh

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread!
Read a lot of it & have finally had the chance to get hold of & try out Rayon.
I only vape NETs....& inadequately-filtered diy ones! I'm now pretty much settled with mesh wicks in vert. coils; in small rdas ('Little 16' ftw!!) & squonking.
However.....Rayon has enabled Me to take My old Magma & (newer) Avocado out of retirement! Deffo gives Me more use-time than cotton ever did (cotton was basically just trying to filter My NETs for Me!!!).
I now just have to hold back the 'shiney-itus' now that I'm not restricted to mesh/vertical coil-friendly atties!!!

Quoting Myself!......Just an update Re. My Rayon useage:- I can't compete with the 200ml. etc. 'records' above but I'm impressed with having vaped 15ml. on the same coils/wicks in the Avocado! The tip Re. just wiping the coil off with tissue is spot-on....I was amazed to actually see shiny s/s wraps when I did this! To put this in perspective; I have to remove the mesh wicks in My L16s, flame 'em off & dry-burn the coils every morning....
Rayon is the 1st fibrous wick I've found that can cope with My mega-gunky diy NETs & I doubt that I would've even tried it if it was n't for this thread.
Got a 3rd L16 clone coming from FT so will be trying a single horiz. coil with Rayon, for squonk use, once it arrives.

exactly sorta to very (approximately)

It's very tasty but sooooo dark & gunky.

The Banana Foster, Reindeer Poop & Yellow Cake are all excellent for about 3-4 ml, then good for a few more but not so much after that. All PIF

The Moose Milk is also gunky but not nearly as bad.
I vaped through 60ml on the same wick IIRC.

How are you filtering your nets @yourgurnard ? Are you mixing high percentage of extract?

I'm triple filtering my heat steeped PG tobacco extracts with a .5 micron poly filtering medium. I mix at 10-12% and get well over 40ml out of a rayon wick.

@JeremyR , who would have thought.......

I almost didn't believe you when you spoke of the major longevity of wicks with rayon. Getting 100ml thru a wick seemed outrageous to me, and perhaps a slight stretching of the truth.

HOWEVER...........

This (to me) is unreal, unbelievable even!!!! I'm on FIFTY-THREE fills, and no sign of taste loss or degradation!!!!!!

30ml/day (210mls at least,, +more on weekends) i rewick & recoil out of habit on Sundays,, the coil getting gunky is more of an issue than the coil getting nasty

Yeah, I'm well aware that My NETs are insufficiently filtered....once thru' a coffee filter & then thru' some muji in a syringe. I keep meaning to get some proper filter papers but.....still have n't!!!
Cold macerations in PG & 30% used in 'Da Mix'.....I ain't gonna get 40ml.!!! Been thru' 21ml. in the Avocado now tho' with Rayon & want to see how much I can get thru' before I HAVE to re-wick/coil!!!

OK, Evolv finally published this data publicly now about the spike of formaldehyde and Acetaldehyde spiking like a sky rocket very quickly, double what is found in a cigarette, starting around 470F-480F.

Temperature Control is IMPORTANT folks!
