that thing with a Silver Play V2 tank is possibly the largest/heaviest mod I own.
I do love me some Silverplay, I still only have the V1 and with the Aqua V2 tank on it, filling is a breeze so I will probably not pick up a V2... :(

I am growing bored of the Orchid/Kayfun style decks that appear on all the latest RTA's we need something new...

I seem to be going backwards instead, a local B&M had a bunch of stuff on clearance so I picked up a AGA-T7. Nice shiny dual coil atty that will dumps its guts out the airhole if you don't have the wicking right or enough of it in there. I Built the crisscross coils and wicked it all full of Rayon, there is more in it than the Big German... It poured out through the airholes before the glass was even partially full due to the tiny top fill hole and no place for the pressure to release. Tore it apart again, readjusted the wicking and got out the needle bottle.

I vaped it all day without incident and am going to rebuild it with dual side by side instead of crisscross configuration. Going to figure out the wicking as well, there is just too much required in there to stop it from leaking.

Yeah, well I have you to thank for me picking up the V2! If you hadn't told me about it, I never would have even looked at it. Right now, it's the only tank I run... I still prefer RDAs for most of my vaping, but I definitely love the combination of the Silver Play and the Invader Mini... perfect for road trips and work days! Once I get my titanium wire in, then I'll probably switch to the steel tank insert. This thing will be bullet-proof! And I won't have to worry about running out of juice... Temp control will tell me when I need to refill...

Sitting down, facing forward.
I stumbled on the original rayon thread from the Fogger 4.1 thread. Tried rayon, and based on the comments in the thread, was determined to get it right and working. Two tries, and I haven't looked back. Even my 78mm auto sticks have rayon wicked CE3s on them. Protanks got the same treatment. Jeremy did a lot of us a great service starting that original thread and I hope the same thing happens here. It'll be a lot easier for new folks to learn the tricks of rayon wicking, between the excellent first post here plus all of us "oldtimers" with rayon in our blood.

Absolutely! And I've even re-wicked a Mistic Bridge atomizer for a cig-a-like with rayon... I'd never have thought it possible if it weren't for everyone here. Rayon really can be used in pretty much any atomizer out there, all you have to do is try. (All of a sudden, I hear Yoda saying "Do. Or do not. There is no try." LOL)

LMAO! They could probably work it in... I'd highly doubt that they will, though. Sadly, I haven't even watched a trailer for the new movie... I'm kinda on the fence as to whether I'll even watch it or not. I wasn't completely thrilled with the prequels...

I don't have my wicking as good as I thought. I got a bad taste at a lower setting. Moved it up a little and it smoothed out. Then I kicked it up some and got another bad taste. Seems if I keep it around 17 watts or so it's pretty good. I got my DIY Yihi SX 350 60 watt repair parts in today and got it going and it shows this build at .72 which I trust. I hope to see a pic or two of a good Lemo build soon.

Follow step one of problem solving. Inspect Wick density in the coil. No gaps at the edge, push down on the wick and it shouldn't leave a gap exposed at the end of the coil.. If it does you didn't use quite enough Wick.
I will when I get down close to empty. I filled it about as full as I could. I'm hard of hearing so I didn't hear a squeak but I felt it. I more suspect my trimming. Verbal descriptions of how to do that are not always that easy to understand. Not understanding everyone's terminology and manner of describing. Thanks

Gone to look at step one.

Canno, trim it down as far as you think is safe, then trim it about 50% more so it looks like it can't possibly work. The only caveat is making sure the wick channels have enough wick in them to prevent leaks and flooding, assuming you're using a tank.

Sounds good, shoot hope I didn't come off condensendingly, or unhelpful... I just jumped online and blirt posted.

I know its a bit to figure out. Just always check that first. And I also say that because there's two things that can cause that loose in the coil and a drying Wick from lack of juice.

So its very possible that the density is good enough but the Tails have an issue. Either too thick or blocking the channels/poor feed from the tank.

One other thing I didn't mention in the op was that you need a lot of juice flowing into the Rayon to keep up with its delivery to the coil.

At the same time it has a strong attraction for juice and will hold it on the Rayon instead of it leaking out. Stopping leaks, and leak prone attys or clearos can be leakfree.

So compared to cotton you want your channels, feed holes, ect. Much more open than before.

So much that if you were using cotton you know for sure it would flood instantly with that much juice allowed to flow in.

Yeah the tails are nowhere near the inlet holes in the lower chimney. I know that wouldn't work with cotton. I read the entire intro and took it all as gospel. Just a little something I'm not getting but I will.

Its mostly dependant on your draw and airflow going over the coil.

If your using VW you would vape at the same wattage as before with that tank... Maybe a little more if its a thicker wire than your used to.

(Also that was a thread announcement in bold, not boldly directed at you)

I didn't think it was. Well see, I've made multiple changes all at once. I was doing anywhere from 1.2 ohms to 1.6 and ususally 12 or 13 watts and that was with cotton. Now I'm doing rayon, .72 ohms, 17 to 18 watts. The bad taste came when I dropped it to 13 watts and when I went to 22 watts, which didn't sound too high. Hell long as it's vaping ok at 17, I'll just sit here and toke and grin and shut up for a while. ;) Maybe a lil pull on some Tennessee shine.
