For the same money you can buy IMRs (Brand Name) with a mAh rating of 3000 mAh @ 30 Amp continuous. "just saying".
I agree - IMR/INR, high discharge, unprotected are what people have told me to get.

That's why I think it's better to buy built-in regulated battery mods, especially new vapors, and its safer for the community as a whole imo. Takes all the battery mistakes out of the equation. Which can lead to damage of persons and vapings image.. Sure a battery can go bad but at least it won't be overloaded with is a guarantee it will vent.
Luckily I think the phase of shops offering new vapors mechs with .2 builds is passing.
If manufactures install safe batteries that are rated to the maximum limit of the device, you have no worry of using wrong batteries.

I just love the posts asking "What's wrong with my rig? It's a .01 ohm coil and I'm using a purple, noname, brand battery that's rated at 50 amp on my mech mod that I just bought and it gets so hot I can't hold it. This is my first vaping experience and it doesn't work!". I guess folks would go buy an explosive and not know anything about that either, then complain when they get blown up.
Don't worry, its good that you asked this so we can help. The 25r would be fine but not the ncr protected.
If anything happens as a malfunction of device it can go continuous. Button sticks, autofire, software malfunction. Plus that battery has potential to explode. Never ever use that protected battery in a mech.
The battery can only handle 15w fully charged. That barely leaves a minimum 20% safety overhead either. You shouldn't use more than 80% of a batteries amp rating ever. As the battery drains so does its capability to handle amperage or the amperage increases due to lower volts. I would maintain more like 30%-50% overhead for many reasons one being longevity.
A protected battery can cause problems with regulated mods also.

Yeah, I need to realize not everyone has 40 years in the electrical trades like I do. I simply can't understand why people that don't know a volt or a watt or an amp or an ohm from a bump in the road want to jump right into sub ohming right off the bat. And I didn't think about somebody like that throwing it in a mech.

Just after I bought these several of the Brand name folks came out with the same thing in 3000 mAh versions. I don't have a link at the moment but you can Google them or take a look at what 101vape.com has.
I bought these about three days too early: Sony VTC5 18650 3.7V 2600 mAh 30A Continuous Discharge Battery (Pack of 3)
But it should be because like wearing seatbelts. Its a safety factor for what if.. It can happen.
Ok, it was obligatory safety posts.. That happens around here. As long as you know what your doing... Its just people of all walks read here, new and old vapors, so we have to make sure they have the facts if they come across it.
Illumn is a great place to order from though.
