Been using mostly rayon for over a year now, mostly because some kind soul sent me a baggy full that long ago and it's still over half full.
It definitely breaks in easier, and holds more juice...but anyone else have a problem with even slightly dry hits burning though the wick completely? Going to change the wicks and just the ends pulling free with nothing in the middle?

I had that problem in the beginning, but I was building tiny coils. Like 1.2mm ID. Now I build coils at 3mm ID and don't have that problem any more. Could you tell us more about your builds and wicking techniques? Maybe post a few pics?

1.3mm 26G mostly. Simple .3ohm dual coils on a Mutation x3 on a cheap mech clone. Enough wick to have a bit of tension when pulling through, but not so much I have to fight with it. Nothing interesting enough to break out the camera.

Larger coils, eh? I'll try that for my next build.

Yeah IMO that is pretty tiny.

I do 3mm coils too, and have a little leeway if I happen to run it dry. Usually I get a warning puff before it goes full gross. (TC wire/mod eliminated all of this and the worry of running it dry)

3mm should fit fine on your mutation.

It may raise your resistance a smidgen so adjust your coil wraps accordingly.

Yep, go with a 3mm. That's what I run in my Mutation. Might try stuffing a little more wick in there as well, make it a little bit tighter than you're used to, then trim the tails WAY down. You'll basically start with about 3-4x the amount of rayon that you used in your 1.3mm coils and then trim the tails down to where it's less than what you had in your 1.3mm coils. I'd say cut off about 80% of the density of the tails. Tuck 'em down to the deck and juice 'er up. Then, you'll get a weak hit right before it goes full dry. That's when you know you need to drip again.

I still need to try wrapping a clapton... I've bought them pre-wrapped, and they were decent, but not worth the effort to wrap them myself, I think...
That Stapled was done by the coil master at my local B&M.

You walk in, tell him what you want and he spins it up while you look around. Literally two minutes later he'll mount and wick it if you want, yeah not worth the time to spin it up yourself. Much easier to pick up a "While U Wait" when you grab some new premium juice to try out, or drool at all the new toys. :D

Ahhhh... now I know your voodoo secret: Let somebody else do it! LMAO! I haven't been to a B&M in a while, maybe I should check a few around here to see if any of them know what they are doing.

We have one chain here that is full of young up to date #CloudsBro guys that know their game. They make a great MaxVG $10/30 juice line for dripping as well.

Once or twice, on Kayfuns with a 2 mm id coil. Yeah, 1.3 does seem pretty tiny!

Started saturating everything with unflavored nic (in my usual nic level and ratio) when I rewick. (I tend to have many tanks ready to go, but don't always know what flavor I'm going to put in them...)

My wife would burn wicks in half until I increased the size of the coil. From 5/64 1.98mm to 7/64 2.78mm. My theory is that the sweet dark juice she likes cruds up the coil and she keeps vaping longer to get more vapor, which overheats the coil and burns the wick.

That was part of my problem too... I tend to take pretty long pulls more often that not, but especially when the coils start to gunk. Bumping up to 3mm coils seems to have fixed my burning wicks in half problem. Also switched to spaced coils on more awesome advice that I got from this and the old rayon thread.
