BTW, I'm about 20 tanks in with this wick in the Bachelor (~80ml) and there's still no muting of the flavor, so it has the longevity that's typical of rayon. That's a good sign.
Wow that's great! The most my cotton wick lasted on the Serpent was 1 1/2 - 2 weeks! It's my nighttime vape, pacifiers for adults lol!

Yeah I also had a wonder but figured it was lighting, juice, or some other.

When you have the good stuff it appears dryer in hand without the typical sheen. When it's wet down it turns more translucent rather than white. The ku is like that too.

The dm turns bright white, the delascos is more golden white, the Sally's is more off white, etc, etc.

There's a lot of variety really.

It was definitely dryer without the typical sheen. Can't remember the color, I was tired & it yeah the dining room lighting isn't real bright.

I swear it's the Naturemade rayon.

Lol

A lot of variety.. A lot of variety in Rayon.

And there you have the new nomenclature for that type of Rayon. Naturemade Rayon..

It's dry white,.. it just turns translucent when wet.

I'll have some naturemade by tomorrow to confirm.

Yeah, sorry one of those days I guess. Lol jk. Didn't mean to yell at ya iml8.
LOL...I think you know I was just messin' with ya. I'm not the sensitive type. Life is too short to worry about that sort of nonsense. They told me it was healthy to have goals, so, as an aspiring misanthrope, I try to make at least 3 people mad per day.

(remember - I'm a mech user) I recently switched from kanthal to SS 316L, and have to rave a bit, because it's as big of a leap to wire as rayon is to wicking. Anyone else out there using SS? Works in power mode as well as TC supposedly...coming from the perspective of a mech user, the stuff is amazing. Ramps fast, great surface area, imparts zero flavor. SS + Rayon = skyhigh sloth :w00t:

I currently use 29 & 30 g Kanthal, would I use the same gage in SS316 as a replacement?
Mmmm, SS has a lower resistance per the same gauge wire...I'd try 30 and/or 32 SS. This seems like one of the main reasons for quicker ramp up - you can use thinner wire for the same ohm you would for kanthal.

Of course! Using SS wire everywhere, especially on mechs, since quite some time.
On mechs I just love the quick ramp up, followed by a mellower vape when the increased temperature makes resistance raise.
Yeah, I noticed how mellow and smooth the vape is, wondered if that's because of the temperature making the resistance raise. Does that also affect battery life? Since the ohms raise while it's firing does that prolong battery life? I've only been using it for a few days.

SS316L 2.5 mm 9 wraps 26g .5 ohms

Vaping unflavored shows the true nature of the beast. Neither SS nor rayon impart any taste whatsoever. Kanthal does and I never noticed before trying ss

I haven't noticed any better battery life, but the vape quality is indeed better, IMO.
It's a 'no-lag' vaping experience with SS, compared to constant resistance wire like Kanthal.
In that respect I see that I'm satisfied with shorter toots, which might well extend battery life - if I weren't such a serial vaper [emoji16]
