I have to agree with that... I have a DIY Vanilla Custard that is really gunky... I can't get through a 10mL squonk bottle without pushing it past the point of needing a rewick in wattage mode, but with TC I can usually get through two bottles. I think it's the TFA Vanilla Bourbon that causes that one to get so gunky, but I don't wanna take it out of the mix. LOL
TC was a novelty in the beginning but as it has been refined and more wire types became available it became a necessity for me.

I dread winter, it plays hell on TC. Luckily it rarely gets below freezing here and I don't have to fidget too much with the temperature and resistance fluctuations. But in the upper half of the US it must be a real biatch.

But if you increase the % of that bourbon, you might not even notice!

Hahahahaha!! Yeah, now I just need to figure out how to get a Pappy Van Winkle flavored vape! :D

I know what you mean. The Ni200 coils just didn't work for me. Titanium was a bit better, but SS316L is perfect. I remember seeing a setting on one of my mods that had a "Temp Compensation" setting... I was thinking it was in the Fuchai, but I can't seem to find it now. I haven't really played with TC during the winter, but I imagine that a setting like that would allow the mod to ramp faster or increase the wattage to account for the cooler air in the intake...

@f1vefour & @Kaezziel so sorry to hear your very trying times. My prayers to you & yours. :(

Thank you, Heart! This is a fight that we've been struggling with for the past three years. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 colo-rectal cancer and it has now metastasized to her lungs and chest wall. She has been through all of the standard treatments and none of them have worked, so we're looking at clinical trials now. My main focus continues to be to just try to keep a smile on her face as often as I can though.

Thank you, Troll. I very much appreciate it. Sadly, things have begun to progress a bit more rapidly over the past two months or so. It seems that now is the time to do our best to enjoy and appreciate what time we may have left more than anything else.

My thoughts, prayers and all the good vibes I can muster to 5 and kazz.. I've "been there, done that", twice, and all I can say is stay strong and make them smile as much as you can.

Twice? :( Sheesh... I'm deeply sorry to hear that, Brother. I can't even imagine... thank you very much for the thoughts and prayers! We'll definitely take all that we can get on that front. :)

Sitting down, facing forward.
Ya know, it's funny how the internet and boards can bring people together with just about anything. Seeing the same names posting and talking back and forth gives a sense of friendship even though there's only a screen conveying thoughts and feelings. It does get frustrating that all that can be offered, in most cases, are a few words and platitudes, but that's all that's available.

Now returning to the rayon channel....

@f1vefour as I've explained to Kaezziel, I'm not a praying man, not in the conventional sense anyway, but I do believe in positive energy/thoughts/vibes (same thing, different name I suppose). Sending some your way.
I can dig being spiritual, I think that's what it's called.

Thank you, very kind.

OK here's what I did for rayon recently:

Some of you who follow the tobacco flavoring thread know I steeped 120ml of INW dark for pipe in a few grams of toasted oak chips(with success I might add :D). I wound up doing an initial strain through a piece of a grain bag for homebrewing I had laying around. Well, I needed to do another pass due to small bits/splinters, so what I did was take two pieces of said brew bag, about the same size, and sandwiched some spread out and flattened beauty coil between them, then filtered through that. Damned if it didn't clear it right up! There may be a floatie or two in there still, but I got it cleaned up good enough for my standards, thanks to rayon :D

Same here, man... was in the ER all weekend with my wife. The tumors have caused fluid to build up in her right lung and we had to go in because she couldn't breathe. They drained it and set up an oxygen machine at home, so she gets to drag the tube around the house with her now. :(

I'm sorry to hear that your mom is having trouble, too. You have my prayers and deepest sympathy, Brother... as someone who is going through similar circumstances, I'm always available if you need somebody to talk to about it.

To you, my newish friend....... huge hugs, and smiles to share. Please keep doing what you're doing, because it's beyond admirable. It's inspirational.

And @f1vefour, I wish you ease with your situation as well.

awsum, you're well-named, and that's for sure. What a lovely and brilliant take on what we have here. To some, mere keyboard scratches, but under the surface there is a lot of heartfelt and true empathic love.

I've never met a vanilla that didn't turn dark or gunk. The nature of the (delicious) beast, I guess. ;)

Thank you, Heart. Much love to you, as well. If I could make one major change to this world, it would be that noone would ever have to endure or watch a loved one go through something like that.

@Kaezziel and @f1vefour you guys and your families are in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there guys!

Much appreciated, Boomer. We'll keep fighting for as long as we are both able. She is in one of the top cancer clinics in the world, so we're definitely giving her the best chance that she can have. :)

:wub: No plans on giving up or giving in yet! Your heartfelt encouragement has helped me tremendously over the last week or so. I've definitely been enjoying our (little 'shortish'? ;) ) conversations!

I know, right?!!? :p That TFA Vanilla Bourbon starts out really dark, though... and just seems to get worse as you vape it. Arrrrggg... if only it wasn't so TASTY!!!
