I use cotton in my Griffins and TFV8's. I have the same issues as you if I use rayon.
I use rayon in everything else.

What kinda scissors do you guys use for trimming and where'd ya get 'em? I've been using a big pair of kitchen scissors and I'm realizing how cumbersome they are. Surgical scissors?
I use a couple of pairs of surgical scissors I took home from ER visits after getting stitches. I don't recommend obtaining them that way though.
They are 4.5" straight IRIS Scissors.

Yep, poking that hole works great to allow air to easily enter the tank. Lots of bubbles after ever pull or two but unfortunately laying the atty on it's side is not an option after pokey pokey...you get leaky leaky.
I'm out of the box on this one. I use the same small pair of diagonal cutting pliers I cut my ss wire with

I use cuticle scissors too for the same reason. Still cotton in my Kanger single coils (yea I still use them!) but rayon all the way in all my RTAs/RBAs.

Scissors? You're not a real vaper if you use scissors. Real vapers bite off the wicks, like the ends of cigars!
Ms Sloth has a pair of surgical scissors she is willing to give me but she has used thwm to cut her hair a few times. As much as I love her hair, Im mot a fan of vaping it
Think if I boil these in water they would be good? There is no walmart or michaels near me. I could get cuticle scissors at the drug store though.

Just wash them well in hot soapy water, dry, wipe down well with isopropyl.
Or you could irradiate them in the microwave.....
Usually an old pair of cheap hair-thinning scissors.
I have a great pair of fine embroidery scissors & got a lead on backing them up cheaply.
