Thank you, Trollish One. I wish a neighbor or friend needed like 20 feet of that box.......

Oh welp. When the time comes I'll get meself a box of, then become the Rayon Santa Lady~

You can always re-bag it & sell it.

I've given tencel away-
to rda users.

Anything to intoduce people to rayon...lol
although these days I suggest getting some Kotex, before "committing"
New vapers don't even have to pay vape prices for vape cotton,
or deal with how inferior it is,
and then learn about rayon later.

How much has changed in 2 years-
noobs starting on TC mods which cost about the same as a pack of smokes these days.

Cotton growing is a political issue.
google Aral Sea or Cubby Station.

I love my cotton clothing & tolerate rayon when I want something silky, without the heat of silk.

So I've been using this stuff

So far I like it, as long as I wash my hands the break in period isn't too bad...
How much material do you guys use and how tightly do you roll the stuff, so far I've been using a lot more than I would with kogendo.

That's exactly the same stuff I use. I will never go back to cotton!

thats the stuff i use, 100% rayon regular (non reinforced)
depending on atty but generally thicker in the coil than cotton and thinner on the tails than cotton.

As to how much, I generally cut/peel a thin piece about 4x as long as I want the final wick to be (including tails). Fold it in half and twist the fold a little so it gives a tapered end, feed that through the coil. You should feel some tension pulling it, though not enough to permanently deform the coil (some people hear a little squeal as it pulls).

Trim the excess, add some amount of taper to the tails (it'll vary from atty to atty, but generally you don't need/want the full thickness that you've pulled through the coil).

I don't twist the full length of the wick -- just enough at the area where I folded it so It'll give me something to initially feed through the coil, then let pulling it through compress the rest.

You can't do this with all tanks/decks (tanks like the boreas and aromamizer with removable decks and juice feed holes on the base are tough to do it on without getting juice on your mod) but you can pretty much eliminate break in time by priming the wick using the method I mentioned earlier in this thread that riptrippers posted in one of his pharoah videos. Drip your juice onto the coils (just 1 or 2 drops per coil) and do a couple short pulses with the fire button to draw the juice in. Keep doing that until it is drawn all the way down to the wick ends at the bottom of the deck. Put the tank together, fill it and vape it and the break in period should have all been used up before you put the tank together by the priming of the wick with the fire button.

I use mechs and bottomfed RDAs. I usually build around .4-.6 and I find it needs to be tight enough to hear the squeak. But not super tight. My breakin is usually only a few puffs worth. I think it need to be much tighter if using regulated and pushing high wattage.

It literally takes me 5 minutes or less to rewick, no more than with cotton. Rayon kicks the llamas hind end and then eats kimchii for dessert.

Built a couple fused with 32g core and 38g wrapping. I didn't take the chance to get rayon thru it. It's difficult enough with a single wire 30g I think. Is there a trick to get rayon thru delicate coils? Even with cotton I had to be very careful.
Pull tight from each side of the coil to get the rayon stretched a bit...helps a lot. Move slowly. Like making sweet love.

Thank you! :) Can't remember I have used that method, so highly appreciated. Forgot to mention that it's spaced coils, which makes it harder, but will give it a try. :)
