Update, I did get the oceanus in.. it's a pretty nice little mod.

Packs a punch with that 20700! Smooth powerful simple vape. Got some weight to it. So far has lasted me over a day of steady vaping around 40w, haven't fully killed a battery yet.

Dropped it first day 4 ft to concrete. Survived all right, a little bit road rash on the bottom corner, not bad.

Haven't decided on the captain 270 yet, seems they may have fixed some of the issues.. not the best 510 but i would like to go 20700 across the board, since I have no good 18650s... it will be a heavy little sucker.

You're welcome to my original Captain 270 if you would like it. It's still at rev 1.3 fw, I didn't update further since it was working okay in vw. Multiple day runtime at 30w using Sanyo 20700b's (over 30 ml). It was a freebie, contest win. I just didn't use it much, really like my single battery stuff (love my 20700 mech squonker [emoji5]).

The 510 is held on mechanically, a lock nut on the inside. They definitely adjusted it compared to pre release units.

What 20700 mech squonker do you have? Curious :)

That VV pulse looks pretty sweet and affordable. If I were to go off the regulated TC train that would be my first choice. I am trying to hold out on a squonk mod until I see some reviews on some of these new single battery ones (ijoy capo and fuchai) being released, but mostly I am trying to hold out for the rumored smoant dual battery squonker.

Yiloong Predator mechanical. Spread the contacts for the 20700 battery, switch to a smaller bottle (using a yftk 8.5ml soft bottle, and I have one of the new Therion 75c bf bottles on order - the Therion bottle has an air vent in the cap to simplify refilling through the 510).

The VV does look nice, there was a preview posted by Tony B yesterday. One feature it had over the predator is an off switch - they're adjusting that part, likely the reason for the shipping delay. I preordered one.

Single coil, rayon wicked, in a pulse 24 on a squonker is sweet [emoji5]

Nice

I'm not up-to-date on the latest squonkers. I've been in a MTB-haze for the Summer. Need to get up to speed just to know what all's out there. I've got another BAM Ultem on the way, those babies are pricey, but so amazing.

Just picked up a Pico Squeeze kit and a VandyVapes Pulse 22 (rainbow). My first BF Squonk setup. Not too bad with the included Coral RDA but tonight I am wicking the Pulse. I think I may need to go a little lower on the ohms and possibly go with a thinner wire.

Current:

SS 316L 24ga
5 spaced wraps @ 0.30 ohms
LG HG2 18650
Rayon (of course)

If you have any twisted 26 kanthal, 5 wrap 2.5mm ID spaced can be pleasant. Right around .45 ohms, direct battery voltage reaches a nice power range for that coil.

I'm still running on my original 40' of cellucotton, wonder when the 3# will need to be opened [emoji5]

Mountain Biking
lol, just got back from a ride on mine to get my hair cut. I rarely take my bike on any trails unfortunately (we don't really have mountains here), and haven't put as many miles on it this year as I did previous years (been walking more for some reason instead), but I still like to get out on it a few times a week. Need to get a hitch on my car and a rack next year so I can take it to some of the parks with trails. Might actually be time for an upgrade/spare. Had this since 2010 I think and it is still going strong but some newer tech might be nice. Maybe a hybrid so I have something quicker on the asphalt and I can just use the old one when I go somewhere with trails:

Nice!! I have a hybrid and a mtn bike. I generally ride the hybrid solely on roads, sometimes gravel/dirt roads too, but I just prefer a hybrid over a road bike (I favor the extra stability/cornering capabilities over speed). But I enjoy my mtn bike so much, I ride it to the PO since it's not that far, etc, even though it's on roads. Front and rear suspension, and 27.5"+ tires. Incredible stability and I can run pressures in the mid teens, absolutely devours the trails around here (though granted sometimes the trails devour Sloth)

I'll post pics sometime later after my next mtn bike trip, I recently took all photos off my phone and onto an external or I'd post some now

nice, I caught a flat piece of metal on the roads (a few blocks from home thankfully) last year and the front tire threw it up into the rear tire and sliced it so I put some kevlar reinforced tires on it that are smoother/faster but they are still pretty wide and I ride them way up on air since I am on the roads/walks most of the time. I am definitely going to have to shop the new hybrids next spring, sounds right up my alley.

Hybrids are fantastic. I really like mine, a Giant Revolt. I put some Gravel King 35s on it and it shreds pavement @ 60-70 PSI
