Care? Yes. As I posted in this thread, 2 weeks ago, my doctor said he considers it to be the safest wick material that I've shown him in my 4 years of vaping .. and over those years I've shown him nearly every material there is. Does that mean it's 100% safe? I dunno .. all I know is my doctor told me to use it instead of anything else and that was good enough for me :)

You asked your doctor? what did he say about organic cotton? does he know how much heat is getting to the wicks?

I have to ask why you post stuff like that. You make a joke for all the regulars of this thread but how about someone just starting to read the thread and they come to your post.

Maybe you think you'll run out of your 500' and want to make sure you can get more?

I just wicked my Fogger 4.3 with rayon, and though I have no experience with another wick in it, I've read a lot of bad experiences in trying to wick it. It just handled 15 pretty hard draws of about 8 seconds (I always chain vape new equipment) and the taste is amazing and I don't even think a good cotton build in it would be able to keep up with that. +1 rayon.

Well so far I've used the CC in:
2x Kayfun 3.1's (both with airholes opened up to the max)
1x Kayfun lite (with standard airhole)
1x Ithaka (bit of a faff to build)
1x Aqua (standard again)
1x D-Eagle (standard again)
1x Kayfun lite (drilled out to the maximum I can get away with).

Results so far :

Amazing

Tried each one on a few different mods and even ran them all on the Vamo from 8 watts right up to 15 watts. I really can't fault this wick, it really is superb. Next atty to get the CC treatment will be the Aios :D

 I've actually got more, but I can't fit it all in my siggy

Must admit some are clones, with a handful of real stuff thrown in. As long as I keep spending 1/3 of what I spent on stinkies, the collection will keep growing :p

"You just feel". and apparently you just "feel" so strongly that you a) haven't bothered to read the extensive stuff on the topic (particularly Jeremy's efforts) but b) decide you need to post a whole bunch of negative posts about how the stuff "feels" toxic to you.

And then you "feel" the need to throw out a completely BS concept that "Some new cancer" is going to spring up from using rayon wicks.

If I expressed what I "feel" about your posts I would get kicked off of ECF in a heartbeat. I pray fervently that you understand the kindly intentions behind my post.

Oh, by the way, the plural of "fly" is "flies".

Edit: And if you're smoking the rayon, you REALLY should read this thread a little more thoroughly.

I don't know how new to vaping you are .. but you need to understand that no real research has proven ANY of what we do is "safe". To use the word "safe" is something no one can or can not say about many things in this world, especially about anything related to vaping.

I don't recall anyone ever "proving" that cotton was "safe", or silica, or yarn, or bamboo, or mesh, or hemp, or ceramic .. or any of the other wick mediums. Is there a post somewhere that offered proof that "those" wicking mediums are safe? If so then I must have missed those posts .. would love to see the "proof" that those are "safe".

 newbies. Just relax and enjoy it, bro.

JD, don't forget that this technology (e-cigs) is relatively new, we keep discovering new advances as we go along, and not much has really been shown to prove that anything's 100% safe. But seriously, take a look at some of the links that Jeremy has posted in this thread. He posted quite a few - doesn't get any more real than that - and if that's not enough to convince you, you could simply use something else. From what I've read so far, it seems a lot safer than some of the other stuff we've used for wicks (personally, I've never felt all that good about silica -can I prove anything? No. Just a feeling). It helped put me at ease - maybe it'll do the same for you. If you have any evidence of it being otherwise (you mentioned it was highly toxic), as someone else said, please post it here so that we can all know too.

Beyond that, the only real guarantee of 100% safety you're gonna get is if you quit vaping altogether. Technically, nothing should be going into your lungs but air. :2c:

Well you being up some good points.. so basically it sounds possible it would be safer to stick to cigs since it's all so new and nothing has been proven ayaiyai

I didn't mean literally smoking you knew what I meant. All I know is I found articles that rayon was banned for the toxicity of it... how that correlates with going inside of a tank as a wick with a coil and heating it up I dunno
