Still using the rayon and will continue to do so until someone comes up with something even better - although I'm not sure that would be possible, because this stuff is amazing!

So, the lifetime supply of cotton balls will go back to the bathroom. The peaches and cream yarn will be knitted into something useless. Likewise with the bamboo crochet thread! :D

I knew AGA-T7 could do better.
I took two coils of 1.0 ohm each and put them one into the other. One, the inner coil is made of 0.6 mm Kanthat ribbon and the outer of 0.8 mm. I put a layer of Rayon in-between the coils and added more Rayon on the outside to prevent leaking. All that while keeping a hole in the middle of the inner coil unobstructed. I then placed this Hybrid Dual Coil/Rayon assembly right over the Airflow.
Well, I think it blows Fogger out of the water now. IMO.

EDIT:
As I was enjoying my new AGA-T7 build, the UPS truck arrived. I placed my Chi You Mechanical Mod upright on my desk and went to gem my Vape Mail. I thought I put the safety ring on. I thought wrong.
The Mod was hot enough to burn the skin.
Long story - short: The VTC5 battery was dead and the Rayon Wick was a little yellowish - brownish inside, but still usable. Luckily for me it ran out of the battery power before it ran out of liquid.
Looks like this Rayon can really take a punch!

Appreciate it, dice - I did some looking around hoping to find a build tutorial but couldn't find anything, maybe I was using the wrong search terms.

Edit: Was looking for better detail on how you wrap the wick around - are you wrapping a tail around each leg of the coil, or wrapping each tail around the entire 'v'?

I will thoroughly document and take pics of the whole processes on the Vcore thread, once I've had me some coffee, and gotten around to it. Slept in a bit it seems.

But basically I thread a single strand between the two coils, so that equal lengths are on either side. The wick I form into the shape of a thick fat ribbon. whose width is the length of the coil sides. I then wrap each wick leg around the outside of the coil one and 1/2 times, or 540 degree's. Like wrapping a scarf around your neck.

Once completely wrapped, fold the tails up and secure the ring, or as in the Rose2, I wrap the coil first then mount it to the base of the rose2. Then I do any final trimming of the ends and tuck the tails into the juice decks, or through the juice ports, depending on the rba.

Here are the results of 2 days cotton and 2 days rayon with my diy NET. Unrinsed right out of the coil, rinsed with tap water, and pulled apart a bit. The rayon came out cleaner. I paid more attention this run and while the cotton diminishes slowly, the rayon runs great until it craps out pretty suddenly. ~15 ml through each.

Recent (2 months) convert to vaping, still more recent (2 weeks) convert to rayon checking in:

I would never have known about rayon if the friendly staff at the Mt. Baker Vapor B & M (actually it has wood siding, or a convincing imitation; I didn't cop a feel) hadn't laid a sample on me as I was picking up a couple of Russian 91%s, one for my girl and one for the friend who turned us on to e-cigs. 2 days after trying a sample wick, I ran out & cleaned out my local Sally Beauty Supply—grabbed the one and only 500' box, covered with dust and probably missing a few snippets—and now I'm set for what remains of my life.

A few weeks ago I was asking every smoker I know "Hey, you want a can and a half of tobacco, a couple of boxes of tubes, and a really nice chrome-plated cigarette machine? Not cheap but free?" No takers, so now the question will be "Hey, you want some certified organic cotton balls? Not cheap but free?"

A note on the occasional chemically taste using Sally's: I've experienced it on one wick and not on the next, which makes me wonder if the post-process cleaning is as good & thorough as we could wish. Spotty cleaning, perhaps? Anyhow, I intend to boil up a goodly length of the stuff to see if that homogenizes it (supposing that's the problem). Can't do any harm and may do some good, though it is a pain in the a**. But then so is building coils & wicking them, vaping vs. simply lighting up, sampling e-liquid flavors vs. grabbing a pack o' whatnots...

Major props to JeremyR for bringing this to light, then bravely (and patiently!) soldiering on through thick/thin!

For anyone wanting to try rayon balls, you can get 200 of them for $12 shipped. I've posted links before and some people seemed to have problems ordering them. This one should work. Rayon balls are listed under cosmetic supplies and you have to sign up for an account to place an order. I think they work better than the Sally's rayon coil. YMMV

Here is a more direct link if it's the same rayon balls you're talking about. It's only $3.50 for 200 so shipping must be crazy.

Ok that was almost a spit take:

Are they easier to unroll - what's the advantage ?

They're actually made just like cotton balls and need to be unrolled, so it's a little harder than Sally's rayon coils since it's not rolled up into a ball. Rayon balls seem to be a little better quality and are less fuzzy with longer strands of rayon. Sally's makes my sweet juices taste noticeably sweeter and rayon balls don't. I don't get any unwanted taste from either one. There's not a huge difference, I just wanted to post a useable link for those who want to give them a try.

I posted that link quite a while back and for some reason people had a hard time using it. And yes, the shipping is more than double what the rayon balls cost. It's worth it for those who can't get to a Sally's or want to try a better quality rayon.

Thank you - good info.
I did notice the strands were seriously fuzzy, but a little water on the finger tips seemed to calm it down.
