8 think we're the only 2 guys that build Our Ov2's horizontal, way better! Mine has no worries @0.2ohmish

Well, I had to try after seeing this (and looking for an excuse to rebuild my Ov2):

origenv2horizontal.jpg

Works great so far (I need more time to fully evaluate though), but now I understand why the coils are positioned "over" the screws in the previous picture... because I don't have space to put my liquid in!

It's a 9 wrap 27g 3mm setup giving 0.7 ohm, which I seem to prefer.

ETA: OK, I think I prefer the taste this way. Odd. It's not "supposed" to.

Glad you like it, it just seems so obvious to me... I use a needle bottle to fill, ....... When full mine won't leak, I bet those verts leak bad.

Keep track of how the wick does. Looking at that picture there seems to be a little air gap on the outer edge of the coils. Knowing that the edge gets hot later on during the heating process it may not matter. Could just be the camera angle.

There's a time limit as to when you can edit a post, so JeremyR can't update his OP without a moderator's help.

Just thought I'd pop in and say howdy.
And encourage Jeremy and all the rest of the rayon vets to continue to use the word rayon rather than cellucotton unless absolutely necessary for reference.
In the last couple of weeks between this forum and the other awesome forum (VU) I have seen numerous folks buying the cellucotton 100% cotton and then wondering what all the fuss is about.
Well obviously cotton is cotton.
But the comparison between cotton and rayon is huge.
Just wanted to say thanks again for this thread and to all of you who are putting the effort into putting the word out.

So I've been on Cellucotton for a few weeks now after a group buy (hard to find in the UK! Reckon 20+ metres will last me a good long while though seeing as I've used about 2 inches of it in the last 3 weeks) and it's absolutely fantastic. Got a KFL+ today, before that I was using rebuilt microcoil Kanger heads and even on them the rayon was so much better than cotton.

Now with a Kayfun, Jeremy is right - it really is like drinking your juice. Just a shame I am now drinking one of my least favourite while I wait for tomorrow's vapemail as I've been going through so much of the stuff!

One other thing I've noticed is that if you change flavours a lot and like to reclaim what juice is left in your tank/dripper you can basically stick a syringe into one end of the wick and watch it dry out from the other end. Insane wicking, insane flavour, insane vapour! Huge thanks for all the work you've done in bringing this to the masses.

it may be helpful if you guys could post what data made you feel it was safe enough... What convinced you to try it ?

For me it was a free sample, glowing recommendations from the Mt. Baker Vapor crew, and reckless disregard for my health. Actually, not that reckless: after I got home, I did a Google & found this thread…only about 100 pages then…those were the days, eh?…and read enough ayes and nays to convince me the ayes had it. By a country mile.:2cool:

Update: day 2 and this stuff is amazing! Jeremy and everyone here THANKS!! best advice was to use more than what we all used with cotton. Make sure the wick is snug in the coil so the rayon keeps contact with all sides of the coil.

On a side note, anyone that's on the fence and wants to try it out, this site is selling 10ft for $1.99 and free shipping. http://www.anasavapes.com/rayon-cellucotton-10-feet/ it's worth a shot and trust me, you will not be disappointed. This stuff is great. Thanks again all!

Sorry to be asking a question I'm sure has been answered a hundred times here, but I can't seem to find those answers. Where do I get the rayon balls or bulk rayon that gives the best flavor? I've been liking the CelluCotton rayon, but have seen references that there's even better rayon options, just not where to buy it.

I will be picking a bottle of Spring Valley Melatonin from WalMart to use the packaging rayon. If that's the best rayon, then I'll be set. Another question that I'm sure has been answered; is there a specific bottle that will give me the most rayon for my buck? I know there's 3mg, 5mg, 10mg, etc. options when buying melatonin.

The CCr has been great, but if something may even have a slight improvement in flavor I'm all about checking it out. So far the performance of the CCr has been top notch. Luckily I was able to get the amount needed and technique down right away so rewicking has been a breeze. I've been stretching the wick after installing which makes it easy to tell if I've used the right amount. I still have to change wicks daily because I vape NETs, but that's because the coil is gunky and needs a dry burn.

ok, I've heard "Rayon" enough!! heheh I took the plunge for $1.99 without researching it at all. I have been meaning to but heck who cares, I just wanna be one of the cool kids! ;)

I think there is nothing better than the CC mentioned.
I ordered the Delasco rayon balls, just because was the last expensive for me (shipping fees). Here in Brazil there are no one doing something like this with rayon!

Edit: and now I see this 1.99 offer ... would've being a lot cheaper, oh well ...

I ordered a couple of packs last night to compare and do a rayon challenge test. Shipping is like $7 for one pack and $8.50 for two packs.

For anyone wanting to try rayon balls, you can get 200 of them for $12 shipped. I've posted links before and some people seemed to have problems ordering them. This one should work. Rayon balls are listed under cosmetic supplies and you have to sign up for an account to place an order. I think they work better than the Sally's rayon coil. YMMV

To be fair to cotton wicking those balls from Walmart are terrible, organic cotton from CVS is totally different. I have some Walmart cotton and it tastes terrible, I mean totally unusable for me after trying it several times.

Same experience here. Walmart cotton was terrible and CVS organic is great.

Currently vaping on rayon for the first time and all I can say is wow. I will tweak the wick some before making final judgments. But...wow.

Sitting down, facing forward.
It never ends, first cig-a-likes, then Ego styles, then VV, then VV/VW, cartos, T3s, various tanks. Then rebuilding coils and wicks, Nichrome, Kanthal, silica, now cellulose. That's lead me to pull the trigger on a Fogger V4.whatever this afternoon (already got shipping notification!). Now I'm stalking the letter carrier (gotta be PC here). It never, ever, ends!

I know I jumped all over the last offer similar to this, think it was on eBay, but this one is much more reasonable. Considering cost of mailer (envelope) and stamp coming out of that $2 and they're still making a decent profit but not the 10,000% range of that other one. Doing rough math here, at $0.05 for envelope, $0.45 postage, that's $1.50 gross profit. 50 x 10' = 500', 50 x $1.50 = $75, less $12 for box of CCr, leaves about $63. If postage is more then less profit, you know the drill. That's being helpful to the community, making a few bucks doing so. Can't complain in the least about that deal.

awsum,

That is why Vaping works so well at keeping people off cigarettes... once you start Vaping you don't have the time or money to go get a pack. :D
