I run horizontals @0.4ohm in my Ov2 easier to wick obviously but I thought it would wick better as well and not spill as the shoulders of the wick keep the Wells capped.

Don't you still or leak all your juice out running verts? Seems to me that there no advantage to vertical coils in that atty...

Living in a box of CelluCotton
Graham Beauty CEO - "Cellucotton sales are way up this year, the perm must be making a comeback!"

Sally's Regional Sales Manager - "Order 100 more pallets of the Cellucotton, we can't seem to keep it in stock. Seems the perm really is making a comeback!"

Sally's Cashier to Manager - "Um, the people I see come in here to buy Cellucotton lately are dudes, and most have more hair on their face than their head. They seem to be obsessed with dripping, but not from their scalp. They also carry around these flashlights that look like a you know what..."

Haha, I thought the same thing when I started telling a local vape group about my experience with CelluCotton. They are a bunch of tattoed biker looking dudes and nearly every one of them jumped on the Sally's bandwagon immediately. To be a fly on the wall ...

Got my $1.99 "free shipping" sample from AnasaVapes.

There was $1.13 postage due. No wonder shipping is free! They don't put any postage on it in the first place!

Well that sucks :censored:
If that happened to me I would just tell them to return it to sender, I would NOT pay shipping on the principle of it.
To me "Free Shipping" means they pay to ship it to me for "Free", Not me pay for shipping when it gets here.

Welp, picked up a 500ft box from sallys for $12 gonna start on my build here soon. What's the general consensus for amount of rayon to use(on a kayfun microcoil)? Use a bit more than I would with cotton and make sure while pulling it thru the coil that it's snug, then trim the ends to the length of the base of the kayfun and then make like a 45 degree angle cut on the ends?

Out of stock apparently now. Jeremy can you iterate again the order of preference for you? Is it medicine bottle then delasco the ccr?

Delasco and then a tie between Sally's & bottle right now. My Sally's I soaked on low heat to a boil is pretty dang pure. Took away the off taste from processing(Actually putting wick in your mouth to taste - typically not noticed by most in vaping with it) My guess is that the Sally's is not as high a standard to usp ( United States pharmacopeia) purity as medical.)

Either some salts left behind or just the processing equipment.

When it becomes rayon in the final reactions all that's left is regenerated cellulose and sodium sulfate. Cell O H + Na2So4

Then it's washed of salts to pure regenerated cellulose.

Lol

At the time I was really busy and didn't get it posted, sorry jerms. Plus it looked like you had the right answer to your question. The bottle rayon does benefit slightly from a rinse. The delascos is the best we've found so far out of the box. All are good just depends how picky one is.

Lol, no prob, I was just teasing. Yeah, I had the answer figured out pretty quick. Someone graciously offered to send me some of the delasco balls, should be in the mailbox shortly. I'm pretty happy with the CCr, but I do appreciate even small improvements so the delasco is worth trying for me.

This is my rayon (from Melatonin bottle) setup after 6 days of heavy use. It's not pristine like a lot of the setups I've seen posted in hard used droppers. But - if this were any other wick material it would have been a gummed up crud ball of a coil. It's a 28g Kanthal, 2.3mm, 1.3Ω coil on a mech mod.

Since I can't 'up' the volts/watts on a mech, I build a new setup to try a higher watt vape after reading so many folks get better results at higher watts than they are were using. This one is 28g Kanthal, 2.0mm .85Ω coil. Also I trim the tails of the rayon to just meet the deck as well as timing about 1/3 to 1/2 the thickness coming out the ends of the coil.

I'm still experimenting, so any feedback on these builds is surely welcomed.

What about the tidi medical balls?

Sent from my Galaxy Note 3 via Tapatalk.

I think that was the alternative to Delasco, which apparently goes out of stock because you guys keep buying them all. :grr:
The brand of medical balls to stay away from is Medical For You. A few have reported a yucky taste with that one.

MikeE3,

The used one looks great. If the new 0.85 one stays as clean as the original you have graduated to master builder. :)

I'll bet you get one He11 of a Nic buzz off the 0.85 build.

Lets us know how it goes.

Oh - very nice pictures I can count the turns on the old unit. :toast:

Indeed I am (nic buzz that is). I'm actually having to put it down, which I don't want to be doing as it's working darn good. I should do my building in the afternoon, not before bedtime when a buzz isn't conducive for going to sleep. :vapor: :face palm:

[edit: thanks for the picture compliment. I always think everyone else's pictures are way better than mine. Got lucky w/ these. Just using an iPhone camera. I think the blue background helps it focus a bit better w/o any other clutter in the background)
