I got my Cellucotton a little while ago and wicked up the quasar with it. Seems to work the same as cotton for the most part. I normally use CVS sterile cotton roll as my wicking material, this wicks just as good as that. Not sure if it works better or not, only time will tell. Haven't wicked the russians yet, waiting for a tank to run dry, they are all still full. No off flavors, no burns. I am using a heavy flavored ry4 though, might be better to try it on a light fruit flavor to see what the taste difference is between cotton and rayon. Dual coil .69 Ohm contact coils, 28ga Kanthal a1.

Please don't mind the clutter, and sorry about the crappy phone pics :)

Sweet brother that's what I'm talking about!!

I'll repost this from last year..

Post 4759 - 6 pages from the end if your 10 posts 2nd page if your 30posts

The rayon won't flash because its damp plus its a very small amount. I have dry burned it and it reacted like cotton.

I haven't read anything before about the use of the loose rayon fibers I've been trying.. In fact a forum search turned up nothing on the term rayon. only mention is the viscous bamboo/rayon known as Lydia's #10. (Most likely not bamboo anyway) google .gov viscous bamboo / bamboo rayon.

The rayon seems to be less touchy on the thickness used. This may be easier for some than cotton. It tastes similar to cotton when it dry hits. Which if wicked right is rare because of its higher capillary action compared to cotton. Google hydroponic information on it. It will naturally wick higher than cotton by 4-5 inches I believe.

Here's a pic of rayon vs cotton after 4 days about 20ml of same juice 90%vg

Drove to Sally Beauty Supply but all they had was the 500 ft box for $12 so I got that. Couldn't tear the fuzzy rayon rope and had to cut off a chunk with scissors. The piece of wick shown below on my mouse pad was a 1/4 piece of the chunk I cut off. I tied the wick in the middle with a wire and pulled it through my coil, knowing full well that it was twice as thick as I needed but I wanted to choke the coil of my Diver in a Billet Box. The ceramic cup was stuffed with rayon and the draw was tight. To my amazement, no dry vape and no gurgling! I forgot to take a pic of the stuffed coil but made another coil with a normal amount of rayon and took the last pic.

I also just got the 500 foot box....LOL You have to be very careful at Sally's - they sell something also called Cellucotton that is 100% cotton. The smallest box this comes in (apparently) is a giant 500 foot roll. I guess my daughter will never run out of cotton again :)

You can get a 40 ft bag for 2.99 online I found it at Texas beauty but it ends up costing more than Sally's 500ft!! Seems they quickly added (or already had) a 7.00 minimum order and that makes it cost more with shipping. Yes make sure it says 100% rayon.

Maybe we can get Sally's to stock 40ft bag chain wide?

I'm still Leary of telling them what it's for; incase Sally doesn't like vaping..

YAY! so did you ever figure the tencel out..or is it bunk?

Yes if you want environmentally conscious rayon tencel does work just a little different. You can use it like straight fiber rammie or cut spread jumble assemble back into wick and its fluffier kinda like the rayon. Been running the mixed up tencel for 4 days now. Currently still prefer rayon for performance and ease of use though.. Will update if my preference ever changes.

WOW - OMG - this rayon is amazing!

I've had problems with dry hits or leaking on my Fogger V4.3 since I got it. I just rewicked using rayon, chain vaped my head off - and NO DRY HITS...............

This is the best thing since sliced bread:D

I'm going to rewick all my Reos now. This might be the stuff for chain vapers!

ohio :-(
A benefit I have noticed is that the tencil takes longer to clog up compared to cotton.

I also use my devices as a delivery method for things other than nicotine delivery. Usually during these applications the cotton wick will get clogged up at approximately 3.5ml - 4.0ml. The tencil wick seems to be capable of doing at least double that.

after i fixed my defective fogger 4.3 from slowtech...i first wicked it with cotton(in a hurry) and got quite a few dry hits.
i rewicked with tencel it was a beast...no dry hits, but id get juice out of the air intake.
when i rewicked with sally's...it was on like donky kong!! not one thing close to a dry hit...no gurgling...no juice out of the air intake..
its just awesome!!!
glad you hit a homerun with it

Wow.. haven't even saturated my "cellucotton" wick, I'm just impressed that I was trying to get it to break or shred like cotton would... didn't break. Seems like a good omen that my first time using it went like that.:)

Edit- seems like it needs to be really snug in coil. Almost to the point where it seems to be too much.. this is my second wick with it, but it's functioning great like this with 80% vg.

Just be careful buddy, these places have no need to carry USP, and are not monitored, and bio glycerins are much cheaper to carry.

just like vg...very few manufacturers make it. only two make all the vg in the usa..
if i put an all star label on it, maybe it can be sold for more...
but thanks for the concern bob, i appreciate it!
