Anyone else find it interesting that suddenly no one has been saying that rayon adds a sweet note to the juice?
I personally never experienced it, so I was always curious
I definitely noticed it early on, but I think much depends on the juice. E.g. there's a raspberry lemonade that I'l liking quite a bit now that that strays toward "just sweet" after 12-18 ml. Vapor production is still fine, but the citrus bite goes away after a while. Pull wick, dry burn, re-wick, and it comes right back.

For me there's another side effect of rayon in the tiny chambers of the Cyclones I run on my bottom-feeders: I water down many of my juices with unflavored now; some as much as 50%. I find I simply don't need the amount of flavor I used to.

I personally just don't trust it.

Your not alone, there are a handful of folks who have said the same thing. That's the wonderful thing about the vaping community, so many folks sharing what they have found what works for them and giving us so many options and making it easier for us to find what works for us. If not for the internet I'd still be those expensive little e-cigs at the local gas station.

Vape on!

Not an uncommon reaction at all if you glance at it.. Everyone here started in that mindset... But, If you knew what many of us know you wouldn't be concerned.

Doctors and labs use it because it so pure it doesn't impart anything into the test sample. It's certified by a leading third party independent testing facility, oeko tex, as being free from any harmful chemicals. I have reviewed and posted links to many scientific books on the process and synthesis. The end product we use is pure cellulose. And is stated as such by US government departments.

Use whatever keeps you off cigarettes, Happy vaping!

Sooooo the other day I visited my clinic for a yearly physical. In the corner I saw a box of Rayon tipped swabs. I decided to pocket a few and see if there is any difference between that and the Graham CC that I have. Nope, vapes just the same.

I thought to myself... Am I a Rayon addict swiping swabs from a clinic!?!? Yup, I guess I am.

Since being shown the light of rayon, I find myself eyeballing every piece of material, fabric, swab... anything that I think might make a good wick... one of these days I'll find something even better than rayon! (not likely)

Kaezziel, I know what you mean.

PS - I haven't snitched any rayon from my doctor but I do BORROW those rubber straps they use when drawing blood. You can cut perfect atty gaskets out of them.

Who'd of thought Vaping could turn a person to a life of crime.

I know... I snitch O-rings from work all the time (peak washers too, when I can find the right sizes!) I re-tapped the screw holes in my +/- posts in my atty and replaced the screws with higher quality cap head screws that take an allen wrench instead of those cheap phillips head screws that strip out so easy... all while I was supposed to be "working"...

I can see things getting much worse when I get ready to start actually working on making my own mechanical tube mod....

Depends. If you want to try a swab I'll send you one. If you want to rat me out then my lips are sealed!! :p

It was meant to imply I would rat you out. But I'll make you a deal you don't mention the rubber arm straps that I borrowed and I won't mention the swabs you borrowed.

Ok, so how are you RDA users not burning the heck out of juice with airflow coming in from one or both sides? I am using 30ga 2 parallel strands on one side of a dual coil dripper (Plume Veil clone) and for some reason I am getting "sharp", chemical tasting hits every time (1.5 ohm build at 15-25W). I tried different coils, different wicking configs, and even went back to OC with no luck. The only thing that has seemed to work (so far) is wicking the crap out of this thing with extra long tails. I tuck one tail under the coil and one tail behind the coil and I get a good vape.

Is my 30 ga too thin to keep it at a decent temperature? I am guessing that the back of the coil is getting too hot and scorching the juice although there seems to be no evidence on the wick. I did find a little blackening on the back side of the coil and am thinking that it is getting too hot.

Am I on the right track here? Do I need fatter wire now that I have a regulated mod that can crank out the watts?

Here you can see the under wick and over/behind wick. The front is still getting a little hot but I did hit it pretty hard once due to loose screws and it shot 8.5V (~50W) into my build.

That should be no problem. Im using 32g at 20-24w on my dripper. But the plume veil has a weird airflow from what I've seen comes on at an angle from the side of the coil almost. Do you have the other side airflow blocked?

Next I would split that coil to single wire and run duals of 30g; each at 2 - 3 ohm

If you haven't washed the heck out of that clone disregard and wash that thing real good with dish soap or something and rinse the heck out of it. Mouthpiece and all.

Is that Plume new? If it is take it completely apart and clean it good, I heard soaking them over night in denture cleaning tablets works good. When I got my new Fogger I got a nasty taste from it. I completely stripped it down, every single piece and ran it through my Ultra Sonic cleaner, two cleaning cycles and one rinse. Still had some of the taste so I soaked it in hot soapy water, brushed all the part by hand and used pipe cleaners to clean all the hole, it was better but still had some taste that finally went away with use. When I cleaned it with pipe cleaners I found a long spiral metal chip in one of the air passages. Another member reported the same nasty taste after cleaning, he pulled the positive post off and found machining oil under it.
