I was thinking of getting some of this stuff. I know it's the graham cellucotton. But do I need to get a certain type and or box number??

Yeah, there are 4 different boxes IIRC.
44130 - 40 feet
44060 - 500 feet
44043 - 3 lb box
44050 - 1200 feet
Just make sure it says 100% rayon on the box as the boxes that contain 100% cotton look identical.

Amazon or Sally's Beauty Supply are good places to get it. I got mine at Sally's... just walked in, grabbed a box and put my money on the counter like a Man... now I wick like a Boss!!

New build. Dual 30/32 twisted 0.7 ohm net build at around 25 watts. Takes a fraction of a second to heat up but after that the vape is outstanding. It was super harsh for the first two hits after the build so I put it down to recoup my taste buds (possibly flooded?). Came back to it and hit it again. Little rough still so I dropped the watts down to 25. Hit it again it BOOM there is was. Nice smooth, cool vape with tons of vapor and flavor that didn't choke me out like it did when I had the watts up around 30-40-ish.
I don't think it is the juice or the previous build. I believe it must have been some residual crud in the atty somewhere. Come to think of it when I first started out I noticed that my builds were super gross every single time. I discovered that when I wrapped my coils a little bit of dried skin cells from my fingers would be on the coil. I almost puked once I figured that one out!
More testing throughout the evening and will see if I did indeed fix the problem. Thanks for all the help!!!!!!

Just because you have a Maserati doesn't mean you have to drive 150 mph.
I did the same thing when I got my Seven 30... it is kind of disappointing to not put the pedal to the metal. By the way my Pro Tank coil at 30 watts last about 4 seconds before the coil went Poof.

Anybody tried a build with part rayon and part cotton? I'm getting frustrated with rayon/my kayfuns, the flavor always seems a tad off or it leaks a little or it gurgles a little but I'm trying to stick with rayon for now. The off flavor is the main thing I wanna fix, it almost has a cotton-esque light taste to it, would that be a sign of too much rayon in the microcoil?

yes.. I just ran a Cotton core, rayon shell wick on my Erlkonigin RTA. Qorax had posted about it on the Erl thread. I had a longer coil going.. parallel 28g 6 wraps .6 ohms.. made the coil longer.. wanted to try that wicking. small tight bundle of cotton, then wrapped that with rayon.
worked very well!

OK I'm back. I was probably the one guy in this thread that didn't care for the performance of Rayon, other than its ease of use. Since my post about a week ago I have been switching from cotton to Rayon every other rewick. Which for me is every 24 hours. Every single time I still think the cotton gives me more flavor. I know I know...I must be crazy. For whatever reason, it just tastes "off" when using Rayon. What the hell am I missing? I read this thread daily and everyone's opinion of Rayon seems to be like the Second Coming of you know who. I just don't get what I could possibly be doing wrong with it...
It's not the second coming at all. It's just a bit better than cotton to most of us.
The flavor will be a little different from the taste your used to. I believe it is purely what the juice tastes like. But the flavor should pop regardless.
What type of density are you using have you checked the density after a tank or a Day. Wicking too tight I find mutes flavor and causes gunking. Too loose does as well usually accompanied by a burnt taste from the coil at medium wattages.
Close ups of your coil before and after a tank or 4-8 hrs depending how much you vape it. Would help us see what your working with.

and it just might be a different experience for you. I think the takeaway is that you tried it. thats all we ask. experiences vary, thats normal! I doubt your doing anything "wrong"
but after that hybrid cotton core / rayon shell I tried, today, I went back to cotton for the first time in a few weeks. the flavor is lacking for me. i will go back to rayon. but thats me.

Well I didn't try the cotton core setup yet but I did just re-wick one of my kayfuns and I used a tad bit less rayon than I have been and so far (maybe 10mins) it seems like it might work great (famous last words), or at least thus far I haven't gotten an "off" taste from it
Ive got 2 kfl and 2 r91 set up with rayon. Think I haz it nailed down.
On r91 is at 0.5 ohms on a mech. Hohums
