Sooo I finally got some rayon in my hands. I wasnt sure if it was indeed rayon because it was shipped in a simple plastic bag but as soon as I felt it I noticed the difference. I stuffed a LOT in my kayfun and I can see the better flavor but I am sure it will be better if I put less. Definetely better than my organic balls for sure.
I'd say you got "The Right Stuff".
If you can "feel" the difference, you definitely got the right stuff.
Just keep experimenting with the amount. Once you get it right, look out! Your flavors will ooze with delishousness.

Yeah if it wasn't too nasty you can boil it & rinse. You only want to do a small amount otherwise you'll have a mass of it. 2 strips as long as your pot, don't stir it, try to keep the fibers inline.
Not really nasty, Im still working with the sample xtreme sent me, probably a couple months worth though. Somebody put a bunch if rAndom stuff in the bag... I may have over exaggerated... But I've said not ti mess with my vape stuff lol and it keeps happening....

Welcome Theo.!
Glad you finally got some in your hands...
It needs to be fairly snug. The opposite of cotton it doesn't swell but contracts when it's fully broke in and displaced all the air from the wick - after about 3-5ml or a day depending on wattage. This is when you want to check and make sure you still have full contact with the coil.
If you have any issues check the fitment in the coil first to see if you need more.

Jeremy, next time you wick one of those, can you maybe post a pic pre-primed, with the tails draped along the outside (before you line the deck floor with it)? Just so we can see how thin and long those tails have to be. Oh, wait. It's just one side that's long and wispy, huh? See? Kinda hard to tell.

Well I have finally figured out my issue. It is the PV without a doubt. I have been dripping on a Patriot all day and have went through about 7.5 mil all full of flavor and vapor. I wondered if my PV barrel and cap would fit on the patriot deck. Low and behold it does once I remove the o-rings. I drop the barrel and cap on the Patriot deck and juice it up. Single coil mode both holes open @12.5W. BOOOOOM harsh hit. Twist the cap so that the coil is the only spot with airflow. Harsh again. What da fo!?!? Tighten the airflow agian and it gets a little better but my buds are shot. I tinker with the watts a bit and say "screw it" and put the Patriot cap back where it belongs. I find it very odd that having too much airflow would cause such harsh hits. Worst case I thought it would be flavorless but have a lot a vapor. What gives?
So here is what's left of my wick, luckily it was still fairly damp, and the wire was thick so it didn't pop and create a short...
It was 4strand double twisted 30g, at .4ohms.. Oh well get to making something else, but might stick to higher ohms and my bolt (i never put that in my pocket).
Just made a 2ohms coil for my aerotank, 1/16th Id slightly spaced 30g. Wicked it nice and snug with some salvaged(clean) rayon <insert "sexual healing" here>
Hitting good nice vapor, great heat forgot how much i liked a warm vape, cant say about flavor as my tounge is getting used to heat and mouth inhales lol

You'd want to be around 20w at least on the plume veil to handle the air flow probably. I can see too much air making a harsh hit. It rings a bell to something..
Did you try covering the unused air hole with something.

That was the first video it was the dripper but I don't recommend that video. I should delete it. The wick wasn't dense enough. I didn't do it the same way I always do. Video 2 & 3 are proper and everything was great with the wicks.

Well I should just quote the post of the video with the 100ml wick and coil.
The pictures are of the wick after break in. You can see its even with the coil on the side I pulled through. This I think is the key to the longest lasting wick and coil. With no gunk.

Here a video of my rewicking last night. Sorry no commentary. I guess I can add that next time. I went with a much lower quality using the front facing camera on the iphone so I could upload it directly.
I stretch it initially because it evens the fibers if there's any thicker spots. I usually do it mounted on my mod but the camera angle would be off for the setup I used. So I had to try to hold the base. But I was holding the other end to pull against stretching it down to pull through.

Yeah half the video is just priming it. Kinda shows how fast it is to wick.
This is the wick this morning after I vaped it pretty hard last night, looks like the density will hold up and looks good. It's vaping great as you can see, Looks brand new.
The one side is going over the high post.
I have the half tails pulled to opposite sides.
