That is crazy is there someone you can call? Here I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to contact anyone. It is kind of a realm outside of the USPS.

Have you looked inside your tank yet. Or are you waiting for a Hazmat Suit first. :D
I could call customs (they know me on a first name basis which isn't good, trust me) but the point is... It's not at customs yet (and I hope it won't land there)... It's somewhere before that step. I only got confirmation that the package landed in Lisbon and was acknowledged by local post.

Usually, what happens is:

1. Package arrives at destination country
2. Package either is rerouted to the receiver next day or is put in a warehouse if it comes from outside the EU.
3. In case of the latter, it either is selected for inspection by customs or slips through and is rerouted to receiver. Customs usually have 5 days to select a package for inspection.
4. If in customs, a whole new procedure starts which is lengthy.

My problem is that usually all those steps are displayed with the tracking number... Except this time... It appears to be at step 1 for over two weeks which isn't normal.

Under other circumstances, I would have be all over them after 5 days but I was trying to sit low hoping that eventually they would release it without going through customs. However, 2 weeks is just too much. By the time I will have the enclosure in my hands, a dna 50 will be out. :(

Tony

Oh it's just a promise I made to myself and I like to keep them.

Worst that can happen is that the package disappears for good and I'll go through 1000ml on my current wick lol :D

Tony,

Two weeks is crazy long. When mine sat for 4 or 5 days I was going nuts.

By the way from your explanation of how the system works you must have been in this boat before.
Only about 300 times

Tbev has gone 235-250 at .2 no TP.
My last was about 185+, maybe more I usually under estimate just to be safe. Auto fire prompted me to go ahead and replace it. It had served well during winter conditions outside.

Jeremy,

What to you me "Auto Fire"?

My buddy picked up the vape recently, and I showed him how to rewick his aspire bvc with rayon. I did one then he did one. His first rebuild.

Man I can't believe how tight they pack that coil from the factory. Solid as hell. The material in those is very similar to the coil wrap in a carto. They take about 20 strips of that and press it in there.

I'll be posting build pics shortly.

Button was held down without my knowing. The zamx fell down into the couch cushions and was fired for I don't know how long, but quite a while. I may have fallen asleep on it, lol. Wick was still there in one piece, but it had gotten the burnt taste on the coil pretty bad from overheating.

Ouch! I have heard of that happening to others. You could have lost a heck of a lot more than a coil & wick. Glad it didn't go any further than it did.

Oh it can't because I only use a regulated device so it cuts off after 10 seconds. And has to be released and pressed again before it will fire again.. Could have happened 5 or 10 times who knows. It's pretty safe though.. But that's also why I don't use a mech.

Oh and nothing happened to the rayon but the dry coil hit taste was persistent.

Jeremy,

Actually I knew you were a regulated mod user but your post cause me to knee-jerk with thoughts of stories I have heard with Mechs when that happens.

That's a good question! I have seen it done successfully BOTH ways but I also wonder if there's any consensus on one over the other.

ETA I've done it both ways- as well as a couple others, and FWIW the way I vape it doesn't make any real difference. That said, I do not try for 100-plus mls between builds and I don't often drip- I use RTAs. I guess I'm odd because I actually like working on my equipment and usually can't wait to try something different. Besides, in my experience nothing beats a fresh coil and a new wick to go with it.

I normally trimmed the bottoms as it left a little hump by the top of the coil on each side which IMO helps prevent the wick from losing contact with the coil. I have had good success that way. However here lately I have been doing the "bunny ears and stuff" method and it works fine too. I keep my watts down due to me having a KF 3.1 and the juice channels and air hole are not that large as compared to modern devices.
