Willy,

Those Beakers are maybe more important than you think. They have a thin flat bottom so there is far less interference with the stir bar. Most jars, bottles... etc have a convex bottom and if you are as fortunate as me maybe even a little mold dimple right in the center.

Edit: $18 dollars is an absolutely great price for everything that you got in that package - jealous. Now I am going to have to go shopping again.

LOL George. Now you're making me feel bad. :S

I think that you're just overthinking it and trying to make a super magnetic stirrer and kudos to you for trying that. If I had failed in my first attempt, I would do the same... just like I've overdone it with my mini hana and TP board after the first one being a dud.

One thing you have and I'll never have... a comercial enclosure. That is worth gold. You can mess inside as much as you want and in the end, it will always look great :)

Here the videos btw.

Notice that both were spun at max rpm... the difference is quite apparent.

About *200-225ml* on this wick and coil. 38 days. Running 6.4v to 1.4 28g on FEV.. Really no gunk forming, hard to get good focus without glare. You can see the coils there. Flavor is still good, I was thinking about changing it but hell I'm not having any issues.

2mm air flow, lung hits.

Anything and everything works better with spaced coils.. That's around 200-225ml hs Arabic 95% vg

Touching only gives a hot spot on the middle. Only be if it is at lower power devices you get a little more heat in the center, and gunk! Gunk is from overheating coil.

The spiritual glow was unintended, but turned out cool.

Buuuut which one is more efficient?

Just kidding and not intending to dive down that rabbit hole again.

I am a spaced coil user too and it get much more longevity out of it vice "touching" ones. If I need more vape then I just crank up the watts by a few.

I have also found that if I make larger coils I get more leeway if things just aren't 100% correct. Currently my coils are 28 ga wrapped around a 3.2mm mandrel. For me in my KF 3.1 my wick would start getting foul tasting with fruity juice as my smaller diameter coils were getting a tad too hot for the restricted airflow of my older KF. Seems as if the larger coils maintain control over the coil heat a little better. That is my thinking anyways.

I am really thinking about TC mods as it may help me out with my KF. Either that or I'll have to upgrade to another tank type device that has larger juice channels and/or airflow.

tchavei, Is that a metal top on that PSU box? I would have thought the metal would interfere with the magnetic pull?

Aluminum sheet to be accurate and yes, it is affected by magnetism (see Lenz's Law). In this particular case, the aluminum sheet heats up by the spinning magnetic field acting as a mini bottom heater. It's very weak by itself but enough to increase the vortex depth from 0 to 20mm over a time span of two hours. If it interferes with the magnetic pull... Not enough to be noticeable :)

Jeremy,

Have you thought about getting the 17mm Flash-e? Focal has them made by HotCig, same company that made the perfect V3 clone that is just outstanding. I know I'll end up pulling the trigger on one sooner or later. I keep spending money on other stuff, the weather getting warmer has me gearing up for outdoor activities (bang - bang) :)

$21.71-$22.25 Flash e Vapor VS Style Rebuildable Atomizer by Hotcig - Stainless Steel

Ah, I've never seen a PSU with an aluminum case. I've got a couple old DVD burners, I was thinking about using one of those to house the fan but they are steel. Maybe I'll cut a hole in the top and use a fan grill ↓↓↓ or use a piece of Plexiglas.

Oh you thought it was steel :)

Naaa. The psu is steel but on the top it has a large hole with a 120mm fan.

What I did was remove the protection cage (fan grill) and cover it with an aluminum sheet (0.5mm I believe). It happened to be anodized so it looks exactly like the rest of the psu but isn't part of it :)

Yeah the tobecco v2 came complete. 5ml, 8ml tank sets, plus the dripper mode.

In dripper mode its great air hole is near the top!! and you can fit 20+ drops easily without it leaking all over on its own.

Unfortunately they were the only ones to offer the whole set, I wish hotcigs came with dripper mode. Its much more useful than 8ml mode for me.
