Yeah the quality fit and finish is definitely better with authentic. But at a much higher cost of course. I put some Teflon under the base orings. That tightened them up haven't touched it for about a year.
We should probably discuss this in the fev by Artur thread, maybe repost that there? Good info.

Oh, I personally have to have full stainless tank, I don't want any broken window crap from dropping.

Please discuss in the fev thread, it need this knkwledge.. this one is the largest and most complete fev thread.

Edit:
Oh guys hope you don't mind.. I transplanted this discussion over to that thread. Good info in those posts.

Oooh... Be careful with the teflon, I'd be concerned about it making it's way into my body. I can't say one way or the other if it's a risk to use it like that but I personally would find another solution. I've used a lot of it during my years as a mechanic and at home, I have taken things apart that had teflon and have seen it turn to a mushy paste when exposed to heat and some liquids such as antifreeze. I don't know if ejuice we use will break it down or not but I know what antifreeze is made from.....

Sore throat can be common when switching because of the different vapor production with rayon. Its more misted than cotton which is more smokey. Thus the nicotine delivery is increased from the higher juice content in the vapor which hits your throat.. Thats where some if the increased th comes from.

It has been determined by most the the nic hit is increased by about 30%.
I went down from 12 to 8mg or 1/3. Rayon vapor packs a punch, it intensifies everything. Just do a test fire before you put it together and watch the juice particals explode out like fire works.

Not only have I dropped my nic level but I've dropped my PG as well to give me the TH I was getting with cotton.

Hi guys

Just got my tidi balls. They are those small ones so it's really kinda pricey... 2 bucks for 10 tiny balls... That's maybe 20 wicks

Anyway... WOW... I feel it's much better than Sally's. I have twice the vapor production, my erlp chucks happily at 40W without a single hiss and boy are those rayon fibers fluffy... I love it! :)

Best thing after a ménage à trois :D

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

Hey Toni, where did you get those tidi balls? I'm in Europe as well and would be curious to try them.

I'm going to bed but just wanted to say again that I love tidi balls :D

Oh man, I should have gotten my hands on them months ago... What a vape :D

Dude, go look for a DM store in Portugal. The 100% viscose balls that they have looks just like these highly overpriced tidi balls.

DMs balls are 100 in a package and they cost like 1 eur :)

First, what atty is that? Never seen it before and looks very cool.

Second, I know next to nothing about Rayon in vaping to start with. Never used it, but I'm very reluctant/hesitant to do so. You're right it's cellulose and thus "natural" of sorts but the process involves A LOT of heavy chemicals (lye bath, acid wash, etc.) from my understanding and like most things, it's washed to make sure as little of those extra chemicals make it to the final product as possible but I imagine that's not very good to cook and inhale. The wash isn't designed to make it safe to vape, only for currently common uses so there could be a lot of trace chemicals left over in terms of vaping.

A lot of what makes it so hard to know if something is dangerous while vaping is how new it is, meaning very little effort has been given to the toxicity of many of the things we use. Flavor extracts have been studied relentlessly for safety, but no one has really thought to see how it works when boiling. All we have is studies which we can kind of approximate in similarity to our intended use.

Like, I'm pretty confident about using cotton because (of all people) the candle manufacturers have tested it to see what chemicals are imparted into the air even when burning. But to my knowledge there has been none either way with Rayon and the various other materials. I tend to be (ironically for someone who smoked for years) abundantly cautious about what I use in my PV, so I avoid things like silica and Rayon.

I don't claim to know whether it actually is dangerous or not, I have nothing to really back that up with and have no doubts in your experience. Just my two cents.

All of your concerns have been answered over and over again in this very thread. Give it a full read, there's lots of useful knowledge to be had.

Most of the very chemicals used to make rayon are used in the processing of most cotton as well.
The chemicals are fully removed from the rayon final product. Actually removing them is how you get the final product, it is then washed to be sure all traces are gone.

Both cotton and rayon are cellulose. The main difference between the two is the texture of the final product. Rayon's smooth structure allows much greater liquid transfer to happen.

As far as I know, there are no DM stores in Portugal. I will however try to find something online selling those bags. Shouldn't be THAT hard. Curious to know if it is, indeed, the same material.

Thank you.
