Have you tried the Tampon Rayon yet?

Don't know what you're missing......:vapor:

Its really OG rayon. Same type as the op of this thread. The pharmaceutical bottle rayon. That I've always preferred... Since the known bottle source we had has changed a more reliable local source was needed. :)

Looks pretty much the same as these tidi balls

It looks anatomically correct from here. :)

The fiber looks like it should and like the delascos that I have. Definitely a good source for those in Europe.

100% viscose - a term that is used for rayon in other parts of the world.

Haven't made any progress, got kind of frustrated at it to be honest lol. I haven't been priming it well I don't think, what is your technique for that and does it make a huge difference? The part that's really killing me is that the first time I just wicked and vaped and it was absolutely perfect, and I can't for the life of me re-create that.

Looking at your pics again.. In the last one it doesn't look very wet at all. Are you priming it really well..

Did you get anything figured out yet?
Review the priming in this video.

Pink-mule.com has them (and Sally and FF) . Just stay away from their titanium.

Nic is also top quality ;)

Hey Toni, where did you get those tidi balls? I'm in Europe as well and would be curious to try them.

For the sake of keeping everyone who's on the other side of the pond informed, I found what seem to be the same tidi balls here (https://www.atmistique.gr/tidi-usa-rayon-cotton.html). Service is fantastic, ordered yesterday morning, shipped after a few minutes and just received (DHL express, about 13 euros, but I bought some other stuff and I wanted it fast) together with some bonus juices they kindly put in for free.
I'll see if I can take those balls for a ride during the weekend and share my impressions.

Andrea.

Thx for the link. Shipping to Portugal kills it for me though unless I buy more things at once. You never know.

I pay 5 bucks for express shipping MRW 24 hours at pink mule but they basically operate in the neighbor country so it's cheaper to send things here.

Oh... So I can put my guilty conscience back in the closet. ;)

I will say that "Cindy's" Idea of just referencing back to post we have already made apposed to rewriting everything but that would require some degree of organization - not my strong suit.

PS - who's paranoid

I know Cindy but then I have to create folders by subject and anticipate what might be worth repeating... etc. Hmmm... come to think of it that might not be all that much work. :D

I have enough trouble winding Ni200 coils all I need is one more task to keep up with.

But I will say one thing it just amazes me how many folks are concerned about the use of Lye in the manufacture of Rayon and then pop extra Olives in their Martini. that are process the same way as rayon. And I won't even mention how they make tomatoes, and apples that are picked green turn red in some strange chemical bath and then coat them with some wax of unknown origin to increase the shelf life. And of course we could through in "Twinkies" that have a shelf life of six months or better wonder what they add to them. OK one more for the road did you know that Apple seeds contain Cyanide.

Kind of makes Rayon look like some kind of Organic Health Food product. :p

Woofer,

I'll give you two weeks... tops!

If I had a nickel for every time I have said the same thing I would have the money to buy the next toy. :D

PS - you do have a very nice collection of top notch equipment but mark my words the Chinese are going to come out with something new before you can go thru your current set of batteries and they make those too.

Well I do like the Chels products http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...er-forum/433469-mods-chels-mini-ecig-182.html ;)
Something new will have to be new, not a modified rehash of something old, for example I currently have zero interest in sub ohm tanks.
Clearos and glassos, been there done that.
I have Magma and Origen drippers and zero interest in even dual coil drippers much less quad coil.
With rayon wicks I can change flavors with ease, no need for 10 drippers or attys
Temperature control, have that and it's working flawlessly for me.
More watts, nope I don't use the 40 I already have.
Yes something new, that will improve my quality of vape life.

Have you tried the Tampon Rayon yet?

Don't know what you're missing......:vapor:

:) Good one! I likely will at some point but then again maybe not.
The step from cotton to rayon was huge, from rayon to rayon I don't expect much difference, I may be wrong.

I'm with you, Woofer. Holman, everybody is different. I have a CE3, yeah a cig-a-like bottom feed mini tank, that has had the same rayon wick in it since I first wicked anything with rayon. That's got to be at least four or five months, or longer. I'm still using the Foggers I bought about the same time. And, I'm using them all with the same liquids and mods that I've had for quite a while now, some of them for two years or more. If it works for me, I tend to stick with it. I will admit to working on some DNA40 mods, but plan on using the same tanks on them that I'm using now. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

High 5s :)
I buy to fix weaknesses in my systems, this one is free of obvious weakness.
Indeed "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
Chasing the latest greatest is not my thing, it is frustrating and expensive.

I have a question. I just took a stab at re-wickingd a Kanger Subtank factory OCC coil with rayon after removing the old wick and dry burring the coil. I made sure the new wick was fully saturated, but I still got something like a dry hit taste, but not quite as bad/strong as a typical dry hit taste. I'm getting plenty of vapor, but I'm about ~10+ or so hits in and I'm still getting the same taste. I don't think I wicked it all that tight (it wasn't loose though). As I write this, I think it's kind of going away a little bit. Is this common or did I screw something up? Maybe I didn't dry burn the coil thoroughly enough?

Update: It's just about gone, now, so never mind...I guess. I'm still curious if this is common though. I don't have much experience with these sorts of things.

It is most likely because you dry burned the coil.
When you did that, the legs of the coil got really hot as well and began to melt/burn the insulator.
That taste will lessen over time, but it will never go away until you replace the insulator IMO.

If you are using the OCC coils, and not the RBA section, you really should make a new coil every time. Or you could just not dry burn. Either way don't apply power to those at all until they are wicked and juiced and all will be fine(as long as you don't have a short/hot spot).
