I've only been using SS for a couple weeks, so it's new to me. All I know is the 24 ga. @ 7 spaced wraps around the 1/8th inch X 4 inch toggle bolt I use comes out to .42 ohms on my Morph rba deck and that works perfectly for my purposes. The price was right. ~20 bucks + shipping for a 925 foot spool. That ought to last me a while.

I pre-ordered the Treebox mini from Smoktech so I could try out the SS temp control mode, but it works great in power mode on my other devices...once I figured out I was having a hot leg issue, anyway. I just had to re-tighten the set screws. I must have jiggled one a little bit loose when I was wicking it. I really hope smok didn't screw something up with the Treebox. For under $50, I have high hopes for the tech and I think the wood finish looks pretty sweet.

Just an FYI: One thing about that SS wire from the place I bought it is that it comes kind of dirty and oily (I don't think they expect it to be used for vaping). It really has to be burned off and cleaned before use, but for under 3 cents a foot I'm not gonna complain too much.

This is probably the third dumb question I have asked so far. What is the purpose behind going 300 ml's with the same wick. Do you at least wash/soak the wick a few times in the process? If not, isn't that like wearing the same underwear for three months? Just asking ... I wash my tanks once a week anyway, so why not the wick as well?

Sitting down, facing forward.
Going 300ml or more was kind of a challenge. I normally change wicks/coils between 100 or 200ml depending on performance and flavor, but I wanted to see if it could be done with my liquids and setups. I managed a little over 400ml before it really needed a replacement.

I'd say that depends on your water quality. Rayon does pick-up/transmit flavors fairly well so if your water is a little musty or sulfury it will end up in your vape, at least for a while until it clears. Distilled or reverse osmosis filtered water would eliminate that problem entirely.

Because it can. To prove how much longer it lasts. There's no need to touch the wick. Its extremely resilient. There's nothing wrong with it; why change it.. But you can if you want of course.

Its a vaporizer, the chamber's pretty clean. I just wash the drip tip.

Clean vaporization is like a flame burning clean... If anyone knows about direct fired oil boilers you can see the difference between a clean burning flame and a dirty flame. A clean flame puts off very few contaminates and soot, or like a torch flame being adjusted correctly.

Any lack of juice at the coil causes a dirty burn, or vaporization, and gunk. What I found was nearly every hit on cotton was actually already going into being too dry just by lack of fluid release to the coil. This is why cotton gunks up and rayon can go up to 10 times longer under the same circumstances before a similar level of gunk begins to develop.

laziness as my wick doesnt need cleaning unlike my underwears, but thank god im married because id be lazy about that to.
depends on juice..... but if it doesnt need changing why bother, vape it till its done, whether thats at 50ml or 400ml, ymmv

Is it OK to wash the wick though? Someone mentioned a musty flavor from washing.
Yeah. Pull it from the coils and toss it in the washer. Then into the dryer on fluff.

;-)

Seriously, I was amazed when I rinsed my rayon. Even the dark coffee I like rinsed right out... clean and white after...

The only dumb question is the one that's not asked but assumed :D. The nice thing about rayon is the fact that it doesn't need to be changed/washed until you feel the need to. I've noticed my coils on my nautilus gunking up beyond all recognition before the rayon went kaput personally. The 100ml+ club was born because we wanted to see how far we can go before we needed to clean/dry burn, and there's folks here that just really dig coil gore ;).

Well, I finally broke down and ordered the Uwell Crown to see what all the fuss is about. Anybody tried the RBA for it? From the reviews I watched, it doesn't look like thinning the tails as much as I usually would with rayon will work so well.
I bought the Crown. I've only had it a few days, but I'm on my second build. It needs to be wicked pretty heavily to avoid leakage. Other than that, I think it's OK. Honestly, I think I like my Zephyrus a little better.

In other rayon news, we are one step closer to our plan for world domination! Muah ha ha haaaaa! I have convinced out local B&M to start carrying rayon for people to try and one of their employees is a full convert.

Wait... was I supposed to let on that I knew about The Plan For World Domination?

What's your build in the Zephyrus? I need to rebuild mine and have been too lazy.

Hey, what's up guys. I have been off flavorings for a while now, maybe 2 years. Tried one new bottle of Boba's Bounty yesterday with rayon, and the flavour seemed bitter. Another liquid (unicorn milk or sthg), same thing. Keep in mind when i stopped flavors, I used to use rolled cotton i think and can't remember if i was still with tanks or bottom feeding yet. Does rayon do that with flavour, or is it just me who got used to unflavoured?
